Several rectangular features which can describe local human characteristics based on original features are added. The combined method can retain the precision of HOG features and increase the speed of detection at the same time. Feature dimension reduction method is one of most famous machine learning tools. Some researchers have begun to explore feature dimension reduction method for computer vision problems. Few such attempts have been made for classification of high-dimensional protein data sets. In this paper, feature dimension reduction method is employed to reduce the size of the features space. Comparison between linear Feature dimension reduction method and nonlinear feature dimension reduction method is performed to predict protein structural classes. In this paper, we propose the concept of knowledge granulation in interval-valued information systems, and discuss some important properties. From these properties, it can be shown that the proposed knowledge granulation provides important approaches to measuring the discernibility of different knowledge. Image denoising is aimed to remove the noise as well as preserving image features as much as possible. This paper presents an adaptive image denosing method using FIR (finite impulse response) filters. The FIR filter coefficients are optimized by using evolution strategies algorithm in which the FIR coefficients are evolved through crossover and mutation operations. Simulations demonstrate that it can efficiently remove the noise, and thus, significantly improve the visual quality of the degraded image. In this paper, we present a novel parallel approach to run artificial fish swarm algorithm (AFSA) on GPU. Experiments are conducted by running AFSA both on GPU and CPU respectively to optimize four benchmark test functions. With the same optimization performance, the running speed of the AFSA based on GPU (GPU-AFSA) can be as 30 time fast as that of the AFSA based on CPU (CPU-AFSA). Based on the group anchor layout of the abutment rock slope of an arch dam, the anchor-hold monitoring series, the rock surface displacement monitoring series, and according to the adaptive BP neural network with variable steps, a prediction model for rock surface displacement caused by the prestressed change in group anchor area was established in this paper.
