In order to improve the performance of the thermal power generation cycle driven by middle-low temperature waste heat, the system should be constructed to make the temperature of the heated working fluid match the changing temperature of the fluid carrying waste heat. The supercritical Rankine cycle using pure organic fluid R134a as the working fluid is proved to be the best promising system driven by waste heat. The exergy efficiency method should be used to evaluate the overall performance of the cycle.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"112 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117261998","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a multi-objective optimization methodology for node placement in wireless sensor network design. Emerging computational intelligence leads to optimization of NP-hard problem in a simple way Differential evolution approach is used as a tool for optimization of most important parameters in node placement process of wireless sensor network. Optimal operational modes of the nodes in order to minimize the energy consumption and meet application-specific requirements have been investigated. Also other optimizations have been done on clustering and communication range of sensors.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123694754","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To control the undesirable chaos in PMSM, a new controller is proposed based on tridiagonal structure matrix stability theory. The proposed controller has some advantages: it is very simple and easy to be implemented; the control transition time is very short; it's robust against external interference. Simulation results are presented to show the effectiveness and robust of the controller.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124104226","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to its significance for human physiology, a kidney metabolic model is studied with flux balance analysis in the present paper. The reduced metabolic model of human kidney used in the paper contains 276 genes, 340 metabolites and 443 metabolic reactions. During the actual industrial production, sometimes we do not need the full functionality of UART, but simply integrate its core part. UART includes three kernel modules which are the baud rate generator, receiver and transmitter. The UART implemented with VHDL language can be integrated into the FPGA to achieve compact, stable and reliable data transmission. It's significant for the design of SOC. The simulation results with Quartus II are completely consistent with the UART protocol.","PeriodicalId":128163,"journal":{"name":"2011 3rd International Workshop on Intelligent Systems and Applications","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130910163","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
