In order to forecast exactly the deep buried layer's projection range, we simulated by TRIM 95, and then we proceeded with RTA (rapid thermal annealing) process for dopant activation at 1050/spl deg/C, 30s after ion implantation. We have not only varied ion implantation energy (1.5 MeV-2 MeV) but also extracted electrical device parameters and compared them with conventional twin well CMOS device parameters. Regardless of implantation energy triple well CMOS has a good latch-zip immunity and breakdown voltage. When we formed deep p-well with 2 MeV ion implantation energy, namely triple well structure, it had better electrical characteristics than twin well structure in terms of leakage current, junction breakdown voltage, subthreshold current and latch-up immunity. Finally we acquired the best process condition in triple well structure which was fabricated with energy of 2 Mev and dose of 1/spl times/10/sup 14//cm/sup 2/.","PeriodicalId":121142,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of IEEE. The proposed scheme supports the frame format of the ITU-T recommendation G.983 and also provides ATM service classes such as CBR, rtVBR, nrtVBR, ABR, and UBR traffic. Each service is allocated on the basis of priority and cell arrival timing information. Especially, the CBR and rtVBR services, which are sensitive to delay and CDV are allocated with higher priority and more exact arrival timing resolution which is achieved with specific coding and ranging procedure. For the proposed MAC scheme, we present a grant field format, minislot format, and bandwidth allocation algorithm. Computer simulation results show that the performance of the proposed scheme is significantly improved in terms of CDV and delay time in the case of CBR and rtVBR services, compared with the normal FIFO scheme.","PeriodicalId":121142,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of IEEE. In the case of p-value n-variable, the number of nodes that increase to p/sup (n-1)/ certainly are reduced by using the reduced OMDD (ROMDD). However, multi-variables derive much more processing time. To improve this problem, the multiple-valued logic function must be represented by the output value array graphs (OVAG) with an input implicit/output explicit relation in binary systems. The representation of the MDD in a difficult situation derives an easier graph with an output value array by using the multi-OVAG (MOVAG). We propose the implementation method of the MOVAG and algorithm for the transition to MOVAG in the circuit. We verify the development of the processing time according to the reduced nodes.","PeriodicalId":121142,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of IEEE. IEEE Region 10 Conference. TENCON 99. For the MPEG-1 compression algorithm, this encoding technique first partitions the parent video stream in the temporal dimension. Each frame in the sub-stream is then partitioned in the chroma dimension yielding a low-resolution and a residual component. The server stores blocks of a component on a disk and stores blocks of different components on consecutive disks in a round-robin manner. The lower the resolution level being maintained, the smaller is the number of disks accessed by each client.","PeriodicalId":121142,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of IEEE. IEEE Region 10 Conference. Since the JBIG algorithm has a complicated procedure, it is hard to exploit pipeline and parallel facilities. This paper settles the issue arising in a pipelined architecture by employing a modified probability estimation table (MPET) and realizes a high speed architecture. In addition, the division of critical computations into two stages also contributes to achieving high speed coding. The proposed architecture of the JBIG arithmetic coder and decoder is synthesized from a Verilog description by using a 0.35 /spl mu/m CMOS library, and is compared with the conventional architecture. As a result the critical path delay of the proposed architecture has been reduced by 60%.","PeriodicalId":121142,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of IEEE. IEEE Region 10 Conference. TENCON 99. Conventional differential detection of M-ary DPSK signals uses the phase difference between a current symbol and the previous symbol. This method can make the receiver architecture simple. But it has poorer BER performance than coherent detection because it uses the previous noisy signal as the phase reference. To improve the BER performance of conventional differential detection, multiple symbol differential detection methods, such as maximum likelihood differential detection (ML-DD), Viterbi-DD, decision feedback differential detection (DF-DD), and DF-DPD, using L-1 past detected symbols, have been proposed. As L increases, the BER performance of DF-DPD improves but the complexity of the architecture increases dramatically. Thus, this paper proposes the simplified DF-DPD architecture, replacing the conventional delay and addition architecture with one accumulator. The proposed architecture also has a good BER performance with minimizing the phase error of the current received symbol using the accumulated phase differences of all DPD. The simulation results show that the BER performance of the proposed architecture approaches that of coherent detection.","PeriodicalId":121142,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of IEEE.
