Despites this long history, there are not many studies focusing on consumers' behavior towards mobile phones, particularly in Malaysia. Research on consumers' purchase intention in telecommunication devices is mainly conducted overseas. This paper focuses on the effects of brand image, product knowledge, product quality, brand loyalty, and product price on consumers' purchase intention. The aim of this paper is to conceptualize the factors that could influence the intention to purchase a mobile phone. The framework will be underpinned on consumer behavior theories as well as technology acceptance related ideas. Safe and efficient removal of urban stormwater is important to maintain public health and safety and to protect the receiving water environment. Detention ponds are stormwater best management practices used for the treatment and control of urban stormwater. Wet detention ponds have two zones: the active and the permanent pool volumes. In this research, long term hourly rainfall and case study catchment's data were collected and the effect of varying the ratio of active to permanent pool volumes investigated using analytical probabilistic models. It was observed that the pollution control performance of wet ponds increase with increase in the ratio reaching a peak value of 82% at a ratio of 0.6 and declines. An efficient waste management is a pre requisition for maintain a safe and green environment as there are increasing all kinds of waste disposal. There are many technologies are used for waste collection as well as for well managed recycling. In this paper we have introduced an integrated system combined with an integrated system of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Global Position System (GPS), General Packet Radio Service (GPRS), Geographic Information System (GIS) and web camera. The built-in RFID reader in collection trucks would automatically retrieve all sorts of customer information and bin information from RFID tag, mounted with each bin. GPS would give the location information of the collection truck. All The information of the center server would updated automatically through GPRS communication system. However, the design routability for 3D ICs becomes especially important. In this paper, we propose a novel estimation model and a congestion aware floorplan for 3D ICs. This model is based on probabilistic analysis considering through silicon vias (TSV) location and the congestion aware floorplan uses multiple criterions to judge a floorplan result. In addition, the study also determined whether there are differences in life style, leisure motivation and leisure interest based on the of gender, age, attending years in school, money domination in leisure, lodging situation, average of academic achievement and place of dwelling. One thousand survey instruments were distributed, and 852 effective instruments were returned, for an effective rate of 85.2%. The collected data were analyzed statistically. The findings of this research were as follows: 1. There are significant differences in students' lifestyle and leisure motivation based on the students' place of dwelling. 2. There are significant differences in students' leisure interests based on the age and attending years in school. 3. Indeed, GLCs are unique from other entities. Therefore, the main objective of this study attempts to identify the relationship between six characteristics of GLCs and dividend payout ratios that include corporate governance mechanisms. Thirty one GLCs in Malaysia are included for this study and the data are collected from Thomson One Banker database and Annual Reports from 2004 to 2007. The results clearly indicate that profitability, cash flow and board independence affect GLC's dividend payout ratio. Such a role informs not only the post release supervision by the parole officers but also in balancing the need for rehabilitation of the prisoners on the one hand and the preservation of the public's safety on the other. Drawn from an ongoing research, this paper focuses on the emerging issues relating to the powers of the Parole Board in releasing the prisoners on parole as well as in prescribing the conditions attached to such release. Such issues involve the duties of the Parole Board in maintaining the community safety and minimising the prisoners' risk of reoffending by laying conditions attached to the parole order as well as providing a smooth transition of the prisoners into the community. This paper concludes that the Parole Board does not function in a vacuum as their decisions are interconnected with the supervision process and the community as a whole. The extraction of features in compressed domain is attractive area due to the representation of almost all images in compressed format at present using DCT (Discrete Cosine Transformation) blocks transformation. During compression some critical information is lost and the perceptual information is left only, which has significant energy for retrieval in the compressed domain. In this paper, the statistical color features are extracted from the quantized histograms in the DCT domain using only the DC and the first three AC coefficients of the DCT blocks of image having more significant information. We study the effect of filters in image retrieval using the color features. We perform the experimental comparison of results in terms of precision of the median, median with edge extraction and the Laplacian filters using the color quantized histogram features in the DCT domain.
