This method allows for quick calculation of the propeller performance characteristics in the entire range of expected application, which can be useful for e.g. estimation of the flight performance of an SUAV. Some shortages inherent to the method along with corrections necessary are quickly mentioned. The article then presents a comparison between the calculated propeller performance and measurement performed in the wind tunnel.","PeriodicalId":107301,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134422152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Military vehicles, specifically tanks, are continuously increasing in mass, while bridge infrastructure capacity remains relatively unchanged. This can significantly affect mobility on military operations. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) utilizes a Military Load Classification (MLC) system that provides a method to compare the load effects of vehicles to the capacity of bridges in order to determine the feasibility of crossing. Tracked vehicles exhibit significantly different behavior than wheeled vehicles; yet frequently the MLC system is applied using the same vehicle-related factors when determining the capacity for both wheeled and tracked vehicles. One of these factors, Dynamic Load Allowance (DLA), is not based on recent research for modern tracked vehicles. Bridge load testing was carried out with one tracked vehicle and three wheeled vehicles. Results of the dynamic effects generated on a smooth surface are presented and indicate that a lower DLA for tracked vehicles, than wheeled vehicles, is likely appropriate. A lower DLA for tracked vehicles would result in increased bridge capacity for tanks.","PeriodicalId":107301,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT)","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133987542","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Contactless monitoring is needed for several reasons; the first concerns traditional sensors and their influence when placed in contact with the body of the measured person. Such sensors can have a negative effect upon the comfort or work performance of a pilot. The second important reason why contactless monitoring methods are preferred over other methods is legislative limitations. Another disadvantage emerges when health measurements and signals are adversely affected by the state of environment. This study examines the current technologies, design and application of non-contact systems as applied in military pilot monitoring. The three systems selected and tested are: ballistocardiography, video motion capture and thermography. The article serves as an evaluation guide for the most suitable and affordable non-contact monitoring systems available, when facing the dilemma of evaluating the quantitative physical and psychological conditions of military pilots. In addition, the article introduces an innovative non-contact telemetry monitoring system composed of appropriate subsystems. Based on previous research and tests, non-contact systems are strongly recommended for military pilot training.","PeriodicalId":107301,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT)","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132876656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To maintain the simplicity of small two stroke engine low pressure fuel injector is used. The main problems with two stroke engines are its high hydrocarbon emissions which could be influenced by the position and setting of the fuel injection. The paper compares three different injector positions and evaluates the flow through the engine to determine the best fuel injector position for future developers of two stroke engines. The engine cycle is first to be simulated by computational fluid dynamics where the mass flow of delivered, untrapped and trapped fuel is analyzed. The engine with three different injector positions is manufactured and the engines emissions are measure on engine test stand.","PeriodicalId":107301,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT)","volume":"45 2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122397437","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Quite a lot of entries require only formal collection for records, others are \"the need of the moment\" and constitute “information waste”. Practical research was carried out through observation and through expert interviews with specialists managing the studied processes. As a result of the participant observation, the considered processes were analyzed in the context of their reliability and safety, after which the possibilities of their development with the help of the SWOT analysis were sought. Based on the research, it has been found that the outsourcing of transport services to military entities is carried out universally and is an effective strategy for supporting troops. Next, recommendations were proposed to improve the processes studied. The most important are: military entities should use the ESPD, in order to simplify and unify the process of acquiring the contractor; Offer inquiries for civil companies should be clearly and precisely structured without unnecessary information; the flow of information between the army and a civil company should take place electronically; military entities should take into account the fact that they are a secondary client for companies providing transport services; military entities should strive to conclude long-term contracts with civil companies.","PeriodicalId":107301,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT)","volume":"204 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127676145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These are so far unrecognized risks threatening their activities; for example from the point of view of sales, up to 30% of car parts manufacturers will be at risk in the Czech Republic. It seems that the new trends will significantly impair the standard models of the current vertical structure of the automotive production and the supply chain. Car makers will also have the chance to develop and expand new technologies, business activities and leadership within the new trends.","PeriodicalId":107301,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Military Technologies (ICMT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117003922","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
