To maintain the simplicity of small two stroke engine low pressure fuel injector is used. The main problems with two stroke engines are its high hydrocarbon emissions which could be influenced by the position and setting of the fuel injection. The paper compares three different injector positions and evaluates the flow through the engine to determine the best fuel injector position for future developers of two stroke engines. The engine cycle is first to be simulated by computational fluid dynamics where the mass flow of delivered, untrapped and trapped fuel is analyzed.
