The motor is applied for precision positioning system. Because of omitting boundary condition, the method of images is adopted to predict the distributions of global and local magnetic field for obtaining precise calculations. The derivation of flux density formulae are shown in this paper. By comparing flux density distributions, it proves that Halbach array structure could improve air-gap flux density. A simulation model of contact surface in ring-type traveling-wave ultrasonic motor with stator diameter 60mm has established in this paper. Any control algorithm of the torque and the speed of RTWUSM can be realized in this half-practicality simulation platform easily. It is very convenient that we never have to change the hardware for driving RTWUSM as well as the software has changed. The algorithm can be verified as soon as possible. Some applied examples of motor drives by the Matrix Converter (Fig.1). This paper presents basic characteristic of parallel-connected dual induction motor drives with the Matrix Converter. Purposes of this system are low cost and saving space in the industrial field to operate plural motors. However, in case of the unbalanced loads, both motors are unstable and each motor makes the speed response differenced to cause the rotor flux change. We indicate the new strategy to control stably by applying the average value control in slip-frequency vector control. The armature inductances are the summation of inductances corresponding to the rotor magnetic path and the electric excitation path. The electric excitation path is highly effected by saturation, the nonlinear of the inductances are much more notable than conventional PM machine. On the other hand, the field current not only affects the saturation of the electric excitation path, but the main magnetic path. Core and tank material magnetizing characteristics were treated as nonlinear by using nonlinear B (H) curve. On this basis, distributions of eddy current losses in the construction parts are analyzed. The magnetic shields that added to tank wall and yoke clamps were used to reduce the eddy current losses in tank wall and yoke clamps of power transformer and the effect of different types of shields were discussed. Different from the conventional switching-table-based direct torque control (DTC), which selects the output vector from a switching table, the developed PTFC selects the most suitable vector minimizing the errors of rotor flux and torque based on predictions of their evolutions versus time. Compared to DTC with the same sampling frequency, there are significant reductions in both torque and flux ripples for PTFC with lower switching frequency, while their dynamic performances are similar. Furthermore, by incorporating the frequency reduction in PTFC, the average switching frequency can be reduced up to 38.76% without affecting its performance. The results of PTFC operating at a very low switching frequency of below 550 Hz are presented, validating the capability of PTFC to satisfy the low switching frequency requirement of high power wind energy applications. In the proposed system, one side of the generator is connected to rectifier, the other side is connected to VSC for output voltage regulation. When the wind power is below the rated value, two maximum power point tracking (MPPT) methods, namely speed feedback control and torque feedback control, are adopted and compared. On the other hand, when the wind power is above the rated value, the power control would be taken and then the rotating speed of outer rotor remain constant. Besides, the smooth switching method of the two modes is given.
