The aim is to address the issues found in traditional English language teaching methods by utilizing AI technology. The article begins by identifying the problems in traditional English language teaching and exploring the current applications of AI in education. Then, it specifically discusses the application of AI technology in English language teaching, such as interactive listening training, intelligent error correction and personalized post-class guidance, and cloud-based intelligent English translation teaching. Subsequently, a proposal is put forward to construct a new English language teaching system based on AI technology, including modules for engaging explanations, interactive English assignments, and creating scenarios for cross-cultural communication oral training. Lastly, an evaluation method for assessing the innovation of English language teaching models based on AI is introduced, which includes feedback and perceptions from both teachers and students, as well as an assessment of teaching outcomes. The research findings of this article can provide a more intelligent, personalized, and effective English language teaching approach, thus positively impacting the quality of English language teaching and enhancing students’ interest in learning.","PeriodicalId":93436,"journal":{"name":"Frontiers in education technology","volume":"50 15","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138595230","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Considering the unique origins and developmental needs of these students, the implementation of adaptive education for new vocational college students should include timely psychological adaptation and mental health guidance. This encompasses ideological and political education as a primary approach to ideological guidance. Additionally, leveraging the dormitory environment as an educational platform ensures the effectiveness of residential education. The use of online media platforms is also crucial for providing effective educational guidance in the digital realm.","PeriodicalId":93436,"journal":{"name":"Frontiers in education technology","volume":"11 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139240935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As the demand for talent in the country continues to rise, versatile talents are currently in short supply. This paper explores the research and practice of talent cultivation in the field of environmental design based on the characteristic of “integration of art and engineering,” using the environmental design major at Qingdao Yellow Sea College as an example. With the rapid development of society and continuous technological progress, the traditional single-discipline training model can no longer meet the complex and changing design requirements. Therefore, this study integrates the fields of art and engineering, constructing a new talent cultivation model aimed at nurturing individuals with both artistic creativity and engineering technical capabilities.","PeriodicalId":93436,"journal":{"name":"Frontiers in education technology","volume":"17 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"139251316","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there is limited empirical evidence on how music education affects academic achievement in primary schools, especially in China. The aim of this literature review is to examine the existing research on the impact of music education on the academic achievement of primary school students in China, focusing on three aspects of music education: instrument-vocal training, music composition and music appreciation. The review synthesised the results of different research approaches and highlighted the importance of music education in enhancing Chinese primary school students’ motivation, creativity, and self-esteem, as well as in promoting cultural diversity and social harmony (Bao, 2020; Wang, 2021). Limitations of the current literature are then discussed and directions for future research are suggested, concluding that the main conclusion - that music education has a relatively positive impact on academic achievement in Chinese primary schools - requires more rigorous and comprehensive research to explore the underlying mechanisms and contextual factors that influence this relationship.","PeriodicalId":93436,"journal":{"name":"Frontiers in education technology","volume":"101 4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135774700","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We recruit primarily underrepresented or economically disadvantaged (Pell eligible) entering freshmen science students (likely science majors) using a rigorous application form that includes high school transcripts, letter of recommendation and an essay. For success in improving academic skills, motivation is key. That’s why we carefully and rigorously evaluate all candidates for this program.
