Following the set hypotheses, the following conclusions can be drawn. The first hypothesis H1 assumes that boys will have better results than girls at the beginning of the school year (first measurement) and that these differences will be statistically significant at the Sig.≤.05 error level. One-factor analysis of variance \"Anova\" shows that there is a statistically significant difference between boys and girls in favor of boys (Chi-square=29.36, df=8, Sig.<.00). Statistically significant correlation with the discriminative function had variables: (SHR, BAH, SBJ and SAR). Tables 1&2. Differences between girls and boys were not established for the variables: (FTR, PLT, SUP and HIG). That there is a difference at the general level is confirmed by the centroid distance. In accordance with according to the results in Tables 3–6 as well as Graphs 1&2, hypothesis H1 remains valid, the probability of statistical error is less than 1%. The second hypothesis H2 assumes that even at the end of the school year (second measurement) boys will also have better results than their female peers, as well as that the difference will be statistically significant. Comparing the arithmetic means (Tables 1&2), it is evident that in the second measurement the results were better, as if on average the girls were slightly higher. Table 7 shows the results of the one-factor analysis of variance \"Anova\" and the statistical significance of the differences for each test, including body height. Values in Table 7 column Sig. shows and shows that there is no statistically significant difference between girls and boys in any test. There is a difference between the arithmetic means, but these differences are not large enough to be statistically significant. Discriminative coefficients: Eigen value .071, Shi-sque 6.16, centroid distance (.242:-.286) and finally Sig.=.63 confirm that the differences are not statistically significant. Considering the results of the research, hypothesis H2 can be rejected, noting that girls have improved more.","PeriodicalId":93216,"journal":{"name":"MOJ sports medicine","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44826834","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Physiotherapy and pain medications are the common nonoperative management, and in Physiotherapy, there are many concepts of assessment and management. This study aims to determine the comparative effectiveness of three specialized physiotherapy approaches or only pain medications for managing CR cases. Methods: A prospective, assessor, and participant-blind, four-arm Randomized control trial (RCT) has been conducted on 120 patients with chronic cervical radiculopathy in 4 specialized centers of Dhaka city recruited between July and December 2022. Four groups (n=30) was treated through structural diagnosis and management concept (SDM), regional approaches (RA), McKenzie mechanical diagnosis and therapy (MDT) concept prescribed by advanced practice physiotherapist (APP), or pain medications prescribed by the specialist physician for 4 weeks. Discussion: After 24 sessions every group shows improvement in neck pain, ROM, disability and quality of life. During intermediate analysis (14days), no group shows more significant changes than another. After post changes (24days) the pain severity score differ significantly only between Medication and RA, RA and Medication; mean pain affective interference score differ between Medication and RA, RA and Medication; and pain physical interference between Medication and RA; RA and Medication. Mean score of ROM were significantly different between medication and RA, Medication and SDM; MDT and RA, MDT and SDM; RA and Medication, RA and MDT; SDM and Medication, SDM and MDT. The nature of the sport is such that every punch thrown to the opponent’s head is thrown with the intention of winning by causing a concussive head injury (aka a knockout). Professional boxing is regulated by various State Athletic Commissions in the United States and abroad. Most commissions require an imaging study of the brain (either a computed tomography scan or a magnetic resonance scan) prior to licensure. The primary goal of neuroimaging prior to licensure is to identify and/or exclude coincidental or clinically suspected brain lesions which may pose a risk for rupture, bleeding, or other catastrophic brain injury during a bout/training. These lesions include aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, cavernous malformations, large venous malformations, Vein of Galan malformations among others. A boxer with history of a left ophthalmic artery aneurysm status post embolization with placement of a pipeline shield in the distal left internal carotid artery (ICA) presented for licensure. Should this boxer be allowed to participate in professional boxing is debated.","PeriodicalId":93216,"journal":{"name":"MOJ sports medicine","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44847492","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although treatment of patellofemoral pain often begins with simple measures like rest, avoidance or modification of activities that increase the pain, such as climbing stairs, kneeling or squatting or, if needed, over-the-counter pain relievers, most recommended interventions were exercise therapy, foot orthoses, patellar taping, patient education and combined interventions. Not recommended were manual therapy (in isolation), dry needling, patellar bracing, and electrotherapeutic modalities. In Cuba there is a high prevalence of articular affections of knees and ankles, with a high prevalence in people older than 60 years; in the province of Santiago de Cuba 45% of the total number of consultations correspond to soft tissue injuries. One of the applications of the electromagnetic field is in the treatment of different pathologies of the osteomuscular system (Soma). The objective of this work lies in the design of a magnetic bed with permanent magnets, in analogy to a circular Halbach type configuration for the treatment of different diseases of the soma, which consists of three main parts: the magnetic system, which generates magnetic induction for therapeutic purposes, the opening and closing system of the magnetic system, which allows the radial variation of the magnetic system and the patient-support bed system, which allows the positioning of the patient in the treatment area. The principle of operation is that the therapist selects the induction of the magnetic field and the homogeneity of the magnetic field, depending on the pathology(s) to be treated, through a software that controls the movement of the opening and closing system of the magnetic system and the patient-bed support system, which is coupled to a stepper motor reducer that ensures a precise and accurate positioning of the sample (or patient) according to the area to be treated, which allows more than 80% effectiveness of the therapy with respect to conventional treatment.","PeriodicalId":93216,"journal":{"name":"MOJ sports medicine","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43666983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
