Sin embargo, poco se sabe del impacto de los factores de estres laboral en las experiencias de recuperacion durante las vacaciones, como el distanciamiento psicologico y la relajacion. Este estudio investigo como el distanciamiento y la relajacion median el influjo de los factores de estres laboral antes de las vacaciones sobre la recuperacion durante las vacaciones. Un total de 136 empleados de diversas ocupaciones completaron un cuestionario sobre su capacidad para relajarse y distanciarse mentalmente del trabajo durante unas vacaciones recientes. Los participantes evaluaron la presion de tiempo percibida y la exclusion social en el trabajo antes de sus vacaciones, asi como cualquier dolencia psicosomatica o problemas de sueno durante las vacaciones. Los resultados del analisis de mediacion usando el metodo bootstrap confirmaron el papel mediador de las experiencias de recuperacion. La asociacion entre los factores de estres laboral y los problemas del sueno estaba totalmente mediada por el distanciamiento y la relajacion, mientras que la asociacion entre la exclusion social y las dolencias psicosomaticas estaba completamente mediada por la relajacion. Ademas, la relajacion medio parcialmente la asociacion entre la presion de tiempo y las dolencias psicosomaticas. No solo debe fomentarse la capacidad de los empleados para relajarse y distanciarse mentalmente del trabajo, sino que deben reducirse los factores de estres laboral a fin de permitir que los empleados logren una recuperacion optima durante las vacaciones. EnglishVacations offer opportunities for recovery from work-related stress. However, little is known about the impact of job stressors on recovery experiences during vacation, such as psychological detachment and relaxation. This study investigated detachment and relaxation to mediate the influence of job stressors prior to vacation on recovery during vacation. A total of 136 employees from various occupations completed a questionnaire on their ability to relax and mentally detach from work during a recent vacation. Participants rated perceived time pressure and social exclusion at work prior to their vacation as well as any psychosomatic health complaints or sleep problems during vacation. The results of bootstrap mediation analysis confirmed the mediating role of recovery experiences. The association between job stressors and sleep problems was fully mediated by detachment and relaxation, whereas the association between social exclusion and psychosomatic complaints was fully mediated by relaxation. Furthermore, relaxation partially mediated the association between time pressure and psychosomatic complaints. Los objetivos del presente estudio identifican el apoyo social percibido de los jovenes usuarios de las redes sociales en estos espacios en funcion del grado, tipologia y antiguedad de la discapacidad. Participaron 116 jovenes con edades comprendidas entre 20 y 35 anos (M = 28,22; DT = 4,02). Fueron clasificados en funcion de la tipologia de la discapacidad (motora, intelectual, visual y auditiva). Contestaron la Escala de apoyo social percibido a traves de las redes sociales. Este instrumento esta compuesto por una escala de respuestas tipo Likert de cuatro puntos (0= nada, 4= mucho), de 15 items repartidos en dos factores. Los resultados muestran mayor percepcion de apoyo en las redes sociales online entre los jovenes con discapacidad motora y con mayor grado de discapacidad. Ello sugiere la importancia que tienen para los jovenes con discapacidad las redes sociales online para intercambiar apoyo. Asi, las redes online podrian servir como ayuda en los programas dirigidos a fomentar la integracion social. EnglishThere has been a recent increase in the number of online social networks for social support exchange. However, studies on the characteristics and types of Internet forums created for young people with disabilities remain scarce. The objective of this study was to identify perceived social support among young users of social networks in these spaces according to the type, degree, and duration of the disability. The study included 116 young people (age range, 20--35 years; M = 28.22, SD = 4.02) with different types of disabilities (physical, intellectual, visual, and auditory). They were administered the Perceived Social Support Through Social Networks Scale. This instrument comprises a 4-point Likert scale (0 = none, 4 = a lot) with 15 items divided into two factors. The results show a high level of perceived social support in online social networks among young people with physical disabilities and with greater degrees of disability. These results suggest that online social networks are important to young people with disabilities for social support exchange. La evidencia disponible apoya la influencia mutua entre las dos lenguas del bilingue, tanto en un nivel lexico como semantico. Mas concretamente, destaca el impacto de la llamada “ambiguedad de traduccion”, el cual se ve modulado por el nivel de competencia en la segunda lengua (L2). Se recogen ademas, las aportaciones de los distintos modelos de organizacion lexica bilingue (Dijkstra y van Heuven, 2002; Kroll y Stewart, 1994; van Hell y De Groot, 1998), que parecen complementarse a la hora de explicar los resultados obtenidos. Para terminar, se corrobora la dificultad que encierra, en el ambito educativo, el aprendizaje de palabras con varios significados y se concluye con algunas recomendaciones que facilitarian el aprendizaje de este tipo de palabras en la L2. EnglishThis study reviewed research on the processing of homonymous and polysemous words in bilingual individuals and assessed its contribution to knowledge of ambiguous word processing, representation, and learning in such individuals. Available evidence supports the mutual influence of each language at the lexical and the semantic level. Specifically, research shows the impact of translation ambiguity on bilingual processing. However, the impact varies depending on second language (L2) competence. These results are explained by the main models of bilingual lexical organization (Dijkstra and van Heuven, 2002; Kroll and Stewart, 1994; van Hell and De Groot, 1998), which are highlighted in this article. Ciento treinta y cuatro personas con discapacidad intelectual (79 hombres y 55 mujeres) del sur de Espana completaron la escala de autoevaluaciones centrales (CSES), la escala de afecto positivo y afecto negativo (PANAS), y la escala de satisfaccion con la vida (SWLS). La investigacion revelo que altos niveles de CSE se asociaban a una mayor satisfaccion con la vida. Ademas, el afecto positivo medio parcialmente la relacion entre CSE y satisfaccion vital. El modelo final indico una via significativa mediante la cual las CSE afectan a la satisfaccion vital a traves del afecto positivo. Se consideran las limitaciones del estudio y se discuten las implicaciones de los resultados para la mejora de la satisfaccion vital en personas con discapacidad intelectual. EnglishThis study examined the mediating effects of affect on the relationship between core self-evaluations (CSE) and life satisfaction in people with intellectual disabilities. The participants comprised 134 people (79 men and 55 women from southern Spain) with intellectual disabilities. All participants completed the core self-evaluations scale (CSES), the positive and negative affect scale (PANAS), and the satisfaction with life scale (SWLS). The results showed that high scores on the CSE were associated with higher life satisfaction. Moreover, positive and negative affect partially mediated the relationship between CSE and life satisfaction. The final model also showed two significant paths from CSE through positive and negative affect to life satisfaction. La muestra estuvo constituida por 117 estudiantes de bachillerato (μ =16.90, σ =.81) de Malaga, quienes completaron el Cuestionario de Fortalezas Humanas (VIA-120), el Cuestionario de Salud General (GHQ-12) y el Item unico de Felicidad. Los resultados muestran un predominio de las fortalezas incluidas en el valor de humanidad, en detrimento de las de templanza y la fortaleza espiritualidad. Se hallaron correlaciones moderadas entre todas las fortalezas del valor trascendencia con la felicidad y la salud mental, encontrandose la correlacion mas fuerte entre dichas variables con la fortaleza optimismo. Por otro lado, se han observado en los varones medias superiores a las mujeres en vitalidad, prudencia, autorregulacion y optimismo. El estudio corrobora que las fortalezas son recursos psicologicos que favorecen otras caracteristicas positivas, siendo el sexo una variable que influye en los resultados. EnglishThis study analysed the association between character strengths and happiness and global health in adolescents by gender. The participants comprised 117 high-school students (μ =16.90, σ =.81) from Malaga (Spain). All participants completed the Values in Action 120-Items Questionnaire (VIA-120), the 12-Item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12), and the Happiness Item. The results showed higher levels of character strengths and lower levels of temperance and religiousness in the humanity score. Moderately significant associations were found between all character strengths and general health, happiness, and especially hope. Boys had significantly higher scores on zest, prudence, self-regulation, and hope (Student t test). Por lo tanto, el objetivo de este estudio fue analizar los recursos que promueven el desarrollo positivo de los jovenes a partir de ciertas disciplinas como la psicologia, la sociologia y la economia. La muestra fue de 200 estudiantes de bachillerato de 15 a 19 anos. Los datos se analizaron en SPSS 21 para obtener frecuencias, medias, desviaciones estandar y consistencia interna de las escalas; de igual manera se utilizo el paquete estadistico EQS con el fin de probar un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales en el cual las variables investigadas constituyeron 4 factores: recursos psicologicos, sociales, economicos y desarrollo positivo. Los resultados muestran una relacion directa de los recursos psicologicos y sociales hacia el desarrollo positivo, asi como los recursos sociales afectan a los psicologicos; respaldando las teorias analizadas. No se encontraron relaciones significativas con los recursos economicos y el desarrollo positivo del joven. EnglishAdolescence is a crucial developmental phase that shapes people's futures. Positive psychology investigates the variables that promote the optimal development of human beings. It recognizes that all children and adolescents have strengths that will develop once these strengths match the resources needed to achieve this in the various settings in which they live. The aim of this study was to analyze from a multidisciplinary perspective (e.g. psychological, sociological, and economic) the effect of resources that promote positive youth development. The sample consisted of 200 middle school students (15 to 19 years). EQS statistical software was used to analyse a structural equation model in which the study variables comprised 4 factors: one for each resource (economic, psychological, sociological), and one for positive youth development. The results showed a direct association between psychological and social resources and positive development, and between social resources and psychological assets. However, no association was found between economic resources and positive youth development. En este marco, el modelo dimensional de Russell (2003) destaca en el panorama academico al constituir una propuesta integradora que da cuenta de una serie de problemas historicos del ambito de estudio. Con este fin, se realiza una aproximacion analitica a dicho modelo y se argumenta su viabilidad. El presente articulo tiene como objetivo revisar la evidencia empirica a favor de cuatro hipotesis que sostiene el modelo dimensional de Russell: (1) Existe una primacia temporal de los afectos basicos frente a los componentes mas cognitivos en el desarrollo de la emocion, (2) los cambios afectivos percibidos facilitan la accesibilidad del material hedonicamente congruente, (3) la mente humana puede atribuir erroneamente la experimentacion de un determinado core affect al estimulo incorrecto, y (4) la experimentacion de los componentes dimensionales facilita la ocurrencia de respuestas cognitivas congruentes. Se concluye que la combinacion de componentes dimensionales inespecificos, tanto de tipo puramente afectivo como de caracter mas \"cognitivo\" constituyen ocasionalmente los prototipos emocionales. En consecuencia, se propone que el modelo dimensional de Russell (2003) constituye una alternativa integradora de gran potencial para abordar el estudio de la naturaleza de la emocion. EnglishOne of the main debates in the study of the psychology of emotion concerns the conception of emotions as unified psychological constructs (categorical/discrete) versus the dimensional approach to emotional episodes. In this context, the dimensional model of Russell (2003) stands out as an inclusive framework that takes into account a set of historical problems in this field of study. We analysed the model, discussed its viability, and reviewed the empirical evidence in favour of four hypotheses that underlie Russell's dimensional model: (1) There is a temporary primacy of basic affects versus more cognitive components in the development of an emotion; (2) perceived affective changes facilitate access to hedonically congruent material; (3) the human mind can mistakenly attribute the experience of a specific core affect to the incorrect stimulus; and (4) the experience of the dimensional components facilitates the occurrence of congruent cognitive responses. The combination of nonspecific dimensional components, both purely affective as well as those with more \"cognitive\" characteristics, can act as prototypical emotions.
