A l'exception de l'anti-IgA de classe, les anticorps anti-immunoglobulines ne semblent pas associés aux réactions observées.</p></div><div><p>Following therapeutic gammaglobulin administration, patients with partial immuno-deficiencies exhibit a high frequency of anti-immunoglobulin antibodies, contrary to those with severe deficiencies.</p><p>Intolerance reactions occur essentially in patients with severe deficiencies. Notre expérience de cette prophylaxie liée à l'utilisation du plasma de sujets hyper-immunisés est singulière. Le peu de gamma-globulines spécifiques disponibles en 1969 nous a incités à choisir cette thérapeutique simple, économique et efficace. Le seul aléa réel — que l'on peut d'ailleurs pallier — est l'absence de titrage rigoureux de chaque lot de plasma anti-D.</p><p>Cette méthode n'a évidemment qu'un avenir limité dans un ensemble prophylactique actuellement bien codifié, mais conserve ses qualités en tant que méthode de nécessité dans toutes les contrées dépourvues de moyens de fractionnement.</p></div><div><p>The prophylaxy of the foeto-maternal Anti-D iso-immunization was demonstrated many years ago. Our experience of this prophylaxy connected with the use of plasma from hyper-immunized individuals is particular to us. As it proved very difficult to obtain sufficient supply of specific gamma-globulins in 1969 we were induced to choose that easy, economical and effective method. Un anticorps anti-HL-A5 a été retrouvé dans le sérum de la mère et de l'enfant à des taux significatifs pour expliquer la maladie. Une hypovitaminose K a sensibilisé l'expression clinique de la thrombopénie qui a nécessité une exsanguinotransfusion et s'est corrigée en quelques semaines après une hypoplasie médullaire transitoire.</p></div><div><p>A case of neonatal thrombocytopenia due to immunization of the mother against HL-A fœtal antigens is reported. The affected child was the fourth in the family ; however two older studied children had the same HL-A5 antigen responsible for the immunization. An associated Vitamin K deficiency probably facilitated the clinical manifestation of the thrombocytopenia. The patient recovered after an exchange-transfusion. {"title":"Étude comparative de quelques céruloplasmines animales obtenues à l'aide d'une nouvelle technique de préparation","authors":"L. Elle consiste en une élimination par précipitation à l'aide d'acide caprylique de la plupart des protéines du plasma, ne laissant dans le surnageant, outre la céruloplasmine, que les immunoglobulines, l'orosomucoïde et la préalbumine. La céruloplasmine est ensuite séparée par chromatographie.</p><p>Cette méthode a été appliquée à l'isolement des céruloplasmines du cheval, du mulet, du lapin, de la chèvre, de la brebis et du babouin. La pureté de ces préparations a été vérifiée par une étude physicochimique comportant des études électrophorétiques et immuno-électrophorétiques ; l'ultracentrifugation ; le dosage enzymatique ; la teneur en cuivre ; l'étude des peptides ; les dosages de sucres.</p><p>Ces analyses ont permis certaines observations, en particulier l'existence de deux formes distinctes de céruloplasmine de mobilités électrophorétiques différentes chez tous les animaux étudiés. Dans le cas du lapin, il a été possible de les séparer et de montrer qu'elles ont toutes deux la même teneur en cuivre.</p><p>On a également noté une grande parenté immunologique entre ces différentes céruloplasmines.</p></div><div><p>A new technique for the fast preparation of human ceruloplasmin has been developed. The main features are : elimination of the bulk of the plasma proteins by precipitation with caprylic acid leaving in the supernatant only ceruloplasmin, the immunoglobulins, <em>α</em>₁-acid glyco-protein, and prealbumin. Ceruloplasmin is then separated by chromatography.</p><p>This method was applied to the isolation of ceruloplasmin from horse, mullet, rabbit, goat, sheep and baboon ceruloplasmins. The purity of these preparations was checked by physico-chemical analysis, electrophoretic and immunoelectrophoretic studies, by ultracentrifugation, enzymatic titration, assay of the copper content, peptid mapping, carbohydrate titration.</p><p>A number of observations have been made concerning the existence in every studied animal of two distinct forms of ceruloplasmins with different electrophoretic mobilities.
