Enfin, l'exposition des surfaces à désinfecter pendant quelques minutes aux UV-C (254 nm) est particulièrement efficace en éliminant plus de 90 % des bactéries résiduelles.</div></div><div><h3>Abstract</h3><div>Quaternary ammoniums are widely used for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces in hospitals and in many other areas. However, these biocidal molecules have a certain environmental impact and participate in the selection and emergence of mulitresis-tant bacteria. In effluents, treatment plants and on surfaces, these molecules are at sub-inhibitory concentrations will facilite developpemnt of means of survival (efflux pump) and hyperproduction of biofilm. Non-lethal alterations of cell membranes facilitate gene exchanges between strains and species that become resistant to both biocides and antibiotics. It is therefore appropriate to propose alternatives that are just as effective but without chemistry for the biocleaning of surfaces, particularly in hospitals. Microfiber textiles used for cleaning, even without chemistry (microfibers/ water), are a very interesting alternative that allows a reduction in the bacterial load of more than one decimal logarithm. The steam cleaner provides undeniable added value for the quality of cleaning with the same guarantees of disinfection.
