Yet, enterprise participation in UIC remains uneven and unpredictable, limiting the effectiveness of policies aimed at cultivating talent through academic-industry partnerships. To address this gap, this study integrates Social Cognitive Theory and Symbiosis Theory to develop a cognitive-symbiotic framework that explains the mechanisms driving enterprise willingness to participate in UIC and how such participation facilitates enterprise-level human resource development. Drawing on survey data from 398 Chinese enterprises and structural equation modeling, the findings reveal: (1) Observational learning of successful symbiotic relationships (β = 0.187), symbiotic self-efficacy (β = 0.312), and symbiotic outcome expectations (β = 0.385) significantly enhance enterprise participation willingness, while perceived symbiotic imbalance risk (β = -0.156) inhibits it; (2) Policy support indirectly promotes participation through a dual mediation pathway-enhancing symbiotic self-efficacy (indirect effect = 0.163) and reducing imbalance risk perception (indirect effect = 0.037), with a total indirect effect of 0.232; (3) Innovation capability significantly moderates the effects of cognitive-symbiotic drivers on participation, amplifying their influence in high-innovation enterprises. This study uncovers the cognitive-psychological and relational mechanisms underpinning enterprise engagement in UIC and highlights how such engagement contributes to organizational learning, capability upgrading, and long-term human resource development. It offers actionable insights for policymakers to design dual-pathway interventions that simultaneously build participation confidence and reduce perceived relational risks, and for enterprise leaders to leverage UIC as a strategic channel for developing high-quality talent and innovation capacity.
","PeriodicalId":7141,"journal":{"name":"Acta Psychologica","volume":"260 ","pages":"105686"},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2025-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"145249285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"心理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study examined how age and individual differences in trait curiosity influence speed and incidental learning in a hybrid (visual and memory) search task. Participants searched for four, previously memorized target objects, presented in fixed sequences (incidental learning condition) or random order (no-learning condition) over search trials. We hypothesized that higher curiosity would correlate with faster search and greater learning-related improvements in search speed, and anticipated a decline in learning and search speed with age. As expected, both speed and learning declined with age. Furthermore, our findings showed that trait curiosity was unrelated to incidental learning effects. Trait curiosity, however, was associated with faster search speed, independently of the effect of age on speed. Together, our results support the notion that trait curiosity can benefit cognition, specifically, increase search speed, across the adult lifespan.
","PeriodicalId":7141,"journal":{"name":"Acta Psychologica","volume":"260 ","pages":"105693"},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2025-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"145249236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"心理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study examines the conjoint influence of both factors in a variant of the affective HisMine-Paradigm. Participants were presented with pairs of words, that comprised emotional (positive and negative) or neutral words, preceded either by the first-person possessive pronoun \"my\" (self-reference) or by the definite article \"the\" (no-reference). Emotional words were divided into emotion-label words (e.g., happiness) and emotion-laden words (e.g., party). Participants were asked to perform an affective evaluation task (i.e., to decide if the word pair conveyed a positive, negative or neutral meaning), followed by a valence rating task (i.e., to rate the word pair in terms of their valence) and an unexpected free recall task. The results for positive words, but not negative words, showed that self-reference facilitated the affective evaluation task and led to more extreme valence ratings. These modulatory effects were observed in emotion-laden words, but not in emotion-label words. These findings support a self-positivity bias, and the literature about the modulation of emotional word processing by self-reference, yet point out the relevance of the distinction between emotion-label words and emotion-laden words.
","PeriodicalId":7141,"journal":{"name":"Acta Psychologica","volume":"260 ","pages":"105689"},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2025-10-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"145249252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"心理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study, which is grounded in the General Aggression Model (GAM) and script theory, examines the influence of individual psychological factors (self-esteem and trait anger) on the relationship between cybervictimization and cyberbullying. This study aims to elucidate \"how\" and \"under what circumstances\" cybervictimization impacts cyberbullying behavior among college students, thereby providing recommendations for the intervention and prevention of cyberbullying within this population.mA total of eight hundred and forty-seven college students completed validated scales measuring cyberbullying, cybervictimization, self-esteem (SES), and trait anger (TAS). The mediating effect of self-esteem and the moderating effect of trait anger were analysed using SPSS PROCESS. The present study revealed that: (1) cybervictimization positively predicteds cyberbullying among college students; (2) self-esteem mediated the relationship between cybervictimization and cyberbullying; (3) trait anger moderated the direct effect of cybervictimization on cyberbullying, as well as both the initial and subsequent stages of the mediating effect through self-esteem among college students. Self esteem and trait anger are two key individual factors that affect the relationship between college students' cybervictimization and cyberbullying. Given their multidimensional nature, we should comprehensively consider intervention factors and carry out collaborative intervention activities in family, school, and peer group environments, such as improving self-worth, cultivating adaptive emotional regulation skills, reducing anger and contemplation, and cultivating psychological resilience, which can more effectively reduce the risk of cyberbullying.
","PeriodicalId":7141,"journal":{"name":"Acta Psychologica","volume":"260 ","pages":"105719"},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2025-10-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"145243469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"心理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We conducted a cross-sectional survey of 515 shoppers in 12 Indian hypermarkets across six cities and analyzed the data using covariance-based structural equation modelling with moderation. Results show that the combined salience of product availability, in-store accessibility, value-oriented pricing, and promotional communications significantly raises CBBE, which in turn increases satisfaction. Satisfaction then drives both brand advocacy and repurchase intention. The CBBE→satisfaction→loyalty pathway is stronger for highly ethnocentric consumers, whereas low-ethnocentric consumers are comparatively less responsive to domestic-origin cues. Conceptually, the study embeds expectation-confirmation within the S-O-R sequence and positions consumer ethnocentrism as a boundary condition linking cognitive appraisal to behavioural response, enriching accounts of nationalist consumption Managerially, domestic brands should pair transparent, value-based pricing with seamless distribution and sustained promotion to build equity and satisfaction, while global brands should co-create indigenous flavors and foreground credible sustainability innovations to engage both ethnocentric and cosmopolitan segments.
","PeriodicalId":7141,"journal":{"name":"Acta Psychologica","volume":"260 ","pages":"105684"},"PeriodicalIF":2.7,"publicationDate":"2025-10-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"145243510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"心理学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
