The proposed topology is capable of producing high voltage gains, while the Normalized Voltage Stress (NVS) on the switches/diodes remain low. Simple structure, continuous input currents and also the low current ripple of input sources are the advantages of proposed topology. The low/medium power applications are suggested for the proposed topology. In this paper, different operational modes and also steady state analyses of proposed topology have been presented. To verify effectiveness of proposed topology, it has been modeled and simulated in PSCAD/EMTDC software. Simulation results validate efficient performance and suitability of proposed topology.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"22 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84757558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The carrier recombination is subsequently low, and seems not to be appropriate for light-emitting applications. In this work, the numerical simulations of electroluminescence (EL) from the GaSb/GaAs QD light-emitting diode (LED) are performed. The LED structure contains a single layer of the GaSb QDs which is inserted in a GaAs matrix, and employed as the active region of the LED. Electrical properties of the LED are presented by current density-voltage characteristics. Under forward-biased condition, simulation results indicate that the radiative recombination rate is high around the GaSb/GaAs interface and becomes gradually lower in the middle of each QD owing to the type-II band alignment. Interestingly, the radiative recombination can be enhanced and extend more into the QDs as the forward-biased voltage increases, enabling the possibility to realize light-emitting devices from type-II nanostructures. These observations can be explained by band diagrams. Furthermore, the blueshift in the EL peak energy with increasing the injected current density is found and almost proportional to the third root of the injected current density, confirming that the EL emissions are derived from the QDs.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"7 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87911510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The electric parameters were investigated such as applied high voltage, current, and switching frequency. In the gap space 2 mm, the uniform glow discharge plasma can produce with the sinusoidal high voltage 11 kV and discharge current about 10 mA on the switching frequency range of 4–6 kHz. Furthermore, the thermal camera shown that the temperature of plasma was about 38°C. This homogeneous glow discharge plasma had used for surface treatment of thin PET film 100-micron at different exposure times. The water contact angles of PET surface reduced to 32° when treatment time was 45 s. However, the bulk properties of untreated and treated PET film were quite similar.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"126 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87725371","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is hard to start permanent magnet synchronous motors direct on line. Including power electronics is expensive and power consuming. Therefore, a rotor cage offers a solution in systems without need of control. Although the problem of starting can be solved using the rotor cage, these machines still fail to synchronize in some situations. These failures can have a negative influence on the performance of the machine, due to heating. To investigate the performance of the motor in many situations, simulation techniques have to be used. The choice among these techniques depends on the requirements of the design. Three common techniques can be found: Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Magnetic Equivalent Circuits (MEC) and the 2-phase modelling in a rotor reference frame (dq). techniques. In this paper not only their benefits and drawbacks, but also their complementarity is discussed. The discussion is illustrated with case examples.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"40 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74049507","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Images are processed using both color and texture features. The system is mainly composed of two processes: disease feature extraction and disease classification. The process of disease feature extraction analyzes feature appearance using statistic-based gray-level co-occurrence matrix and texture feature equations. The disease classification process deploys the unsupervised simplified fuzzy ARTMAP neural network to categorize types of disease. Four types of grape leaf disease images are used to test the system's classification performance which are rust, scab, downy mildew and no disease. Desirable results have been achieved with more than 90% of accuracy. The proposed system can be applied to diagnosis other type of plant disease sufficiently.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"27 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75463498","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The disadvantages of the methods are spent period of processing time, which are not suitable for large quantities of data. The objectives of this study were: 1) to review correlation and grey relational algorithm, 2) to compare between Pearson correlation coefficient and grey relational analysis, and 3) to examine experimental data for big data and analytics. Comparisons between grey relational and correlation function were used in MATLAB. Result of an analysis dedicated that three factors of the study follow: 1) period of processing time, 2) value of similarities, and 3) accuracy of information. The findings suggest that grey relational analysis takes the time to process less than correlation and more appropriate of the development and growth of Internet of Things.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"63 4","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"91485992","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All mobile stations can eavesdropper each other. The transmission rate of the link from the base station to a mobile station is limited at the secrecy rate, which is the transmission rate that the base station can communicate with the target mobile station without eavesdropping by any other mobile station in the network. We compare the performance of two proposed strategies in terms of the obtained instantaneous secrecy rate by Monte-Carlo simulations. It is found that neither of them is better than the other for all Monte-Carlo realizations. The beamforming strategy is better than the nulling strategy in some situations, which depends on two factors: the number of transmit antennas at the base station and the number of mobile stations in the network.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79923480","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, various optimization techniques like a Genetic Algorithm, Ant Colony Optimization, Butterfly Optimization, Pattern Search, Particle Swarm Optimization have been successfully applied in solving different problems.
