This paper proposes a discontinuous space vector modulation (SVM) technique to eliminate the CMV of a dual two-level VSI with two isolated de supplies fed open-end load applications. This technique uses five-segment switching sequence design with centralizing PWM scheme to generate the discontinuous modulating waves for both inverters, resulting in reduces the step and peak value of the CMV of each inverter and also is that it can cancel the CMV at the open-end load to zero. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed technique.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"50 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84311051","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The methodology provides an approximation for the number of battery full charge-discharge cycles based on historical microcycling state-of-charge (SOC) data typical of BESS frequency regulation operation. An enhanced frequency response (EFR) algorithm, a new and fast frequency response service in the UK, that provides a charge/discharge response with respect to the deviations in the grid frequency, is used for analysis. The obtained historical SOC data from the EFR analysis is then considered as an input for evaluating the proposed battery cycle counting estimation method.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-05-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89432823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Especially patients in the complicated chronic illness such as diabetes required more stable wireless sensor and antenna in their biomedical devices. The antenna is designed and developed for operating at two frequency ranges, 402–405 MHz for Medical Implant Communications Service (MICS) and 1427–1432 MHz for Wireless Medical Telemetry Service (WMTS) bands. Rogers R03210 is selected as material layers to cover the antenna and preserve the biocompatibility of the structure. The antenna is designed regardless for the changes of different glucose levels in human tissues. The optimized antenna, using genetic algorithms, has dimensions of 23.6mm × 19.4mm × 2.4mm. The antenna is designed using XFDTD simulator, and the prototype is verified in a TX-151 tissue which is a mimicking solution. The results showed acceptances between simulation and measurement for the −10dB bandwidths. While the result was better at the MICS band due to the antenna dimension and the weight function, it still showed the decent agreement in the WMTS band. The differences on each frequency band are found from the gap between substrate and superstrate. The input power for this implanted antenna should be limited below 3.16 mW.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"80 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78814463","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

HIV infection is still a major public health problem in Thailand. Bayesian hierarchical method was proposed to fit with the HIV mapping data and to cope with the HIV modeling incidence among risk factors. A useful source of data information is retrieved from the NAP (National AIDS Program), collected by the National Health Security Office (NHSO) in Thailand 2013. The parameters are estimated by Bayesian mixed effect model via mean-variance adaptive Gauss-Hermite quadrature as a type of Bayesian hierarchical model and using the AIC, BIC, and DIC criteria to select the best fitted model. The best fitted model is in a form of interaction effect model in which combination of gender and age, sex worker (SW) and men who have sex with men (MSM), also people who inject drugs (PWID) and age, can jointly explain the HIV infection rate. HIV infection rate is higher at male and aged 15–24 years than other age groups, and higher at unsafe sex in MSM and SW group than others, and higher among PWID aged 15–24 years than other age groups. The top four provinces with the highest risk (HIV infection rate> 8.9%) were Nong Bua Lam Phu, Chumphon, Udon Thani, and Samut Prakan, respectively.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"86 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78176777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The request for nursing informatics was significantly increased because nurses had to directly confront with technology during their services. Generally nurses are always the key role of informaticians, and add significant values which related to clinical transformation. The nursing Informatics specialty was recognized since the American Nurses Association (ANA) promoted the nurses who worked by combining the science of nursing with computer and information science to support the clinical workflow, and add the value to the organization. However, only few countries officially promoted and applied the nursing informatics. Although, in Thailand the information systems were also applied to healthcare service, especially on medical services, it was found that the nursing informaticians did not get promoted at all. Some even lacked in directions while some in positions, and thus obviously had no career path. Therefore, this study aimed to review the literatures and demonstrate the concept to promote the nursing informatics professionals in Thailand as a new nurse's role in perspective of nursing informatics definition, nursing informatics role, and career structure of nursing informatics.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"85 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79126865","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the uncontrolled charging PEVs impacts on voltage deviation, increasing of losses and decreasing of transformer life in the distribution system. The paper proposes PEVs charging model at residential houses by using load shaving method based on time of use rate (TOU) in the distribution system in Thailand. The model is considered under constraints of the power limitation in the transformer and phase power unbalancing. The results show that the load shaving method can control charging under the constraints whereas the off-peak load time and available time of PEVs are mismatched. Therefore, the total electric energy price with TOU rate is higher than the normal electric energy price. On the other hand, PEVs charging at off-peak time gets electric energy price and percent charging lower than uncontrolled off-peak time.","PeriodicalId":6628,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Electrical Engineering Congress (iEECON)","volume":"20 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-03-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84332489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The DuPont Kapton with the thickness of 0.25 mm is used as the substrate. The graphene conductor is used due to its flexibility. The antenna is designed by using XFDTD program with two different superstrate materials, the Kapton and household silicon. The genetic algorithm is applied for tuning the antenna parameters. The curved model is tested on the chest with different facets curved. The return losses are compared, and the I-g average specific absorption rate, SAR, are defined for the maximum input power available. The mortality rate and morbidity rate have been dramatically increasing in last decade. The mathematical model were now used for explaining the future trends of disease, as the early warning system. It can provide useful information leading to timely decision making process regarding prevention and control planning and intervention strategies in order to reduce the burden of disease. The ARIMA model is famously used to explain the epidemiology of disease. Therefore, the aim of this study was to develop the ARIMA model for explaining dengue morbidity rate. The Average temperature and relative humidity were included in the model. The historical data such as dengue morbidity rate, average temperature and relative humidity in Thailand from 2006–2015 were used in analysis. The result found that ARIMA $pmb{(3,0,1)_{12}}$ adjusted with average temperature and relative humidity was the optimal model to describe dengue morbidity rate.
