{"title":"Surface Characteristics and Wear Mechanisms of Polymer-Based Brake Pads","authors":"F. Yusubov","doi":"10.1134/S1052618825700153","DOIUrl":"10.1134/S1052618825700153","url":null,"abstract":"<p>This study considers the wear and wear surface characteristics of phenolic resin–based brake pads made by powder metallurgy techniques. During the experiments, the friction and wear parameters are measured using a pin-on-disc test, and microstructural studies are conducted using optical microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy. An analysis of variance was carried out, which showed the significant influence of these parameters on the wear process. The data obtained from the experimental studies were also used to build regression models that made it possible to determine the influence of various factors (pressure, speed, and sliding distance) on the wear rate and characteristics of friction materials. The possibility of its implementation in reactors in which pressure relief is carried out by means of a valve is considered. The essential conditions for the occurrence of this explosion have been determined, such as transfer of the vapor–liquid mixture in the reactor to a critical state; impact initiation of a steam explosion and formation of a weak shock wave; development of a steam explosion by propagation of a shock wave through the reactor; and release of explosion products into the surrounding space. Apatenko","doi":"10.1134/S1052618825700074","DOIUrl":"10.1134/S1052618825700074","url":null,"abstract":"<p>It has been established that monitoring and diagnostics of the technical condition and efficiency of an internal combustion engine (ICE) in real time are quite expensive not so much in data collection, but in the adequacy of the data processing model and their interpretation. An algorithm for creating the library of a deep learning program based on the existing database of ICE operation under various load conditions has been developed. As a result of ICE monitoring, a video endoscopy of the cylinder-piston group elements was performed to establish deviations from the standard state, and the data was processed using ELM327 and the Forscan program. An analysis of existing information in this area has been carried out, and the advantages and disadvantages of the parts layout in three design (structural) versions have been revealed. Based on the analysis and theoretical justification, an improved model of the gearmotor is proposed. The changes made in the design of the transmission system are described, and a comparative analysis of the technical parameters of the samples is performed.
