The introduction of digital systems allows reducing the number of personnel errors, but the greatest effect can be achieved only by creating a single information environment. The use of the process approach will ensure the formation of a process register on the basis of which it is possible to organize traceability of parts, improve control and measurement procedures that will reduce the number of errors, and also allow analyzing the process based on the collected data. An analysis of works devoted to the study and minimization of roughness on both horizontal and vertical surfaces grown at different angles to the construction platform was carried out. This study focuses on statistical processing using a correlation matrix of the results of the influence of the power, speed, and linear energy density (LED) on the roughness of vertically growing surfaces. To determine the influence of the LED value on the roughness of the vertical surfaces, four parameters were used: Ra, Rz, Sa, and Sz. In the first variant, the constitutive equations are obtained by differentiating the relations of the plasticity deformation theory with the unchanged metric of the deformation process. The cumbersomeness of expressions is emphasized even with an unchanged metric of the deformation process. In the second variant, the constitutive equations at the loading step are obtained using the hypothesis of a proportional relationship between the components of deviators of the stress and strain increments without dividing the strain increments into elastic and plastic parts. A quadrangular fragment of the middle surface of the shell with kinematic nodal unknowns in the form of displacements and their first derivatives is adopted as a finite element.
