Abstract

The calculating procedure and the results of study of the landing process of a lunar lander module equipped with a mechanical landing device at its contact point with the lunar surface are presented. The composition and types of connections of the transformable support of the landing device are described. Based on the developed mathematical model of motion of the lunar lander module, the dynamics of the process have been investigated and an assessment of the landing’s success has been carried out.
