N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. The author emphasizes the indisputable theoretical significance of reviewed work, focused on the elucidation of the role of knowledge in the constitution of the social, which in the context of globalization, virtualization and individualization of social life acquires the properties of an «unfamiliar social». The monograph pays special attention to the processes of fabrication of various types of knowledge, that is, the creation and dissemination of various knowledge as structural and practical factors in the constitution of the social. It is noted that the author's research strategy is original, constructive and productive both in theoretical and practical sense. It is emphasized that the scientific novelty of the work lies in the conceptualization of the categorical triangle «knowledge – social – order»; in the proposed concept of an internalized Second and a depersonalized Third as «generalized Others»; in clarifying the specifics of communication in the production of sign-symbolic and informational forms of knowledge; in the introduction to scientific circulation the concept of «chronotope of the order of knowledge», etc. At the same time, it is emphasized that this fundamental monograph contains certain controversial provisions. In particular, a clearer definitions are required by: the scientific problem of work, that is, the question of what kind of epistemological inconsistency the author's concept solves; meaningful content of the «fabrication» category; ideological shape of knowledge, as a result of which it becomes one of the components of manipulative social technologies. Despite the remarks, the reviewer notes the significant heuristic potential of A. Golikov's developments, which, in his opinion, is distinguished by a refined professional language, a high level of scientific reliability and innovative content.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"133 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84772248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A comparative historical analysis of foreign and domestic scientific works showed that the use of the concept of «revolution» for different eras is ambiguous, and the explanations for the emergence and development of revolution are characterized by variability of concepts, which is caused both by differences in scientific approaches to the definition of key concepts, and subjective scientists' vision of the ultimate goal of research. The article presents a classification of the most recognized foreign theories in which the causes of the revolution are highlighted from various points of view of scientific knowledge. It is determined that the objective and subjective conditions for maintaining the revolutionary situation in Ukraine are changes in the system of relations in the social structure of society and the transformation of individual norms and rules to the action of a social elevator. It was emphasized that a change in the conditions of social interaction led to the development in society of an objective factorial relationship «social disorientation – social anomie – social cynicism – social madness», characterized by a tendency to repeat and narrow in time. It is proved that the cause of Ukrainian revolutions is the socio-psychological instability of society, manifested in the interconnection of objective conditions with relative inertia and changing objective factors with each electoral cycle, and the level of interaction of subjective conditions and factors determined the intensity of development of revolutionary processes.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"32 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72529768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is noted that self-monitoring is the ability and desire of the personality to monitor through self-observation and self-control of own expressive behavior and self-presentation in social situations, as well as the realization of this ability in reality. It is stated that self-monitoring affects the ability to predict the actual behavior of people in different social situations, and as a consequence, the success in different areas of life. It is emphasized that the developed ability to self-monitoring can produce both positive and negative psychological consequences. The most popular areas of research on the relationship of this phenomenon with various psychological characteristics are highlighted: expressive control; ability to accurately perceive key information in social situations; accessibility of individual attitudes, the content of the image of the Self, the relationship between attitudes and values; the correspondence between personal precepts and public actions; a tendency to adapt behavior to basic personal dispositions and special key information about the social situation; sensitivity to key information about the situation, the characteristics of his / her Self and his / her own attitudes; susceptibility to advertising; consumer product quality assessments; susceptibility to motivational messages that make functional decisions related to the manifestation of social images; appearance orientation as a criterion for evaluating other people; focus on social interaction, friendship and romance; leadership in the group; organizational behavior and management results; critical thinking and reflection, etc. It is indicated that in Ukrainian psychology, the most popular subject of the research is the phenomenon of self-presentation, which is close to self-monitoring. The attention is focused on the fact that the combination of the Western and Ukrainian traditions of the research in this direction is promising.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002567","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Beck are considered in the context of classical and modern theories. Particular attention is focused on the significance of the heritage of N. Machiavelli and I. Kant for the author of “The Risk Society”. The German sociologist proclaimed himself as machiavellist, but at the same time he often referred to I. Kant. A dilemma arises: how can political cynicism be combined with moral rigor? The article proposes its solution. U. Beck combines the ideas of N. Machiavelli and I. Kant through the concept of republicanism. The ideas of cosmopolitanism were justified by I. Kant and found development in the work of U. Beck. The article shows that Ulrich Beck's talent is an ability to contextual combinatorics. Apparently, he personally introduced a small number of concepts that became the achievement of sociology (\"Second Modern\", \"meta-game\", \"meta-power\"). U. Beck borrowed the rest of the concepts from other scientists and politicians and put them in his own mental context. But the works of the German sociologist were polemically directed and thereby contributed to the development of sociology. Particular attention in the article is drawn to the U. Beck’s criticism of the concept of postmodernism. The progressive shift in the problem that Beck observes in the concept of the Second Modernity is not just that he proves the continuation of Modernity, but that he establishes its processuality, qualitative changes in it. The article concludes that for the further development of sociology, a synthesis of ideas of the theory of the Second Modernity, world-system analysis, modern Marxist sociology and environmental sociology is desirable. This synthesis is unlikely to be simple. To make it possible, it is necessary to reconstruct the methodological basis of each of these areas in modern sociology.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"18 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76136481","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is stated that the relevance, theoretical and practical significance of the problem of psychological health is confirmed in numerous researches of modern scientists, which allows to mark it as one of the priority among the developed psychological problems. In the context of constant socio-economic changes, the problem of the psychological health of the personality becomes of particular importance. Economic changes, which is one of the components of the transformation processes that take place in Ukrainian society, set the specific environmental context of the functioning of the psychological health of a personality. The content of \"psychological health\" concept and its criteria are considered. The following approaches to understanding this phenomenon are indicated: socio-psychological, ontogenetic, professional, moral-psychological, general-psychological and resource. It is stated that scientists clearly define such a perspective of psychological health functioning as the optimality and constructiveness of interaction with the environment and the world as a whole, which makes it possible to consider adequate economic behavior as one of the aspects of such interaction. The analysis of the concept of \"economic behavior\" in terms of economic and psychological science, as well as its types such as financial behavior, conservation behavior, debt behavior, investment behavior, \"poverty behavior\" is presented. On the basis of the analysis of modern theoretical and empirical researches the connection of psychological health and economic behavior is determined, the contribution of a number of psychological characteristics to the functioning of different types of economic behavior is revealed. It is noted that the economic side of life of a modern person living in a transformational society is one of the significant variables in the formation of psychological health, the condition of which, in this context, is economic behavior that is adequate to the ongoing and predicted changes.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002236","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The concept of personality maturity is considered in terms of O.S.Shteppe’s and Yu.Z.Hilbukh’s approaches, the concept of subjective well-being is considered in terms of E. Diener’s hedonistic approach. For empirical study there were used such methods as Personality Maturity Questionnaire Yu.Z. Hilbukh, Personality Maturity Questionnaire O.S.Shteppe , Subjec tive Well-being Scale A. Perrudet-Badoux in V.N.Sokolova adaptation, Satisfaction with Life Scale E. Diener in D.O.Leontiev adaptation, Subjective Happiness Scale S. Lyubomirsky. The subjects of the research were second year students since this period can be considered the most stable of whole studying time. It’s revealed that the most psychology students have got acceptable level of personality maturity by Yu.Z.Hilbukh that is very high, high or satisfactory level. According to O.S.Shteppe the most of them have got required level of personality maturity. Students feel subjective well-being on emotional and cognitive level by average measure, they feel happy with their life by higher than average measure. Personality maturity in general is signifiantly correlates with subjective well-being in the emotional aspect and satisfaction with life as cognitive aspect of subjective well-being in students of both forms of studying. Also the tendency to form connection between personality maturity and feeling of happiness is revealed in full-time students. Correlations between com ponents of personality maturity and subjective well-being were obtained for full-time and correspondence course students separately. In full-time student’s different aspects of subjective well-being are more wildly connected with such components of personality maturity as motivation of achievement, self-acceptance and life philosophy. In correspondence course students, aspects of subjective well-being are to more extent connected with components of personality maturity as contactability, tolerance and synergy. It can have argued that full-time students to feel emotionally comfortable need to have dispositions which regulate relations with themselves, but correspondence course students need to have dispositions which are demanded in communication and building ofrelationships.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"77 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002510","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Observation of different participants in standardized situations revealed that there are recurring personality characteristics of responding to the situation of interpersonal interaction. The individual peculiarities of use by participants of adjectives during the training process are discussed. Discusses the patterns that are associated with the peculiarities of the personality of the participants and are manifested in the performance of training exercises. The main theories and tests related to the identification of typological personality traits are analyzed. The introduction of parameters specific to the description of behavior allows distinguishing typological groups. To solve the clustering problem, a non-numerical description of the elements of behavior elements was used. The matrix of output data was created from the set of descriptions of the adjectives of the sample of participants. An Elbow method was used to determine the optimal number of clusters. The matrix was subjected to an agglomeration cluster analysis procedure using the k-medium method for cluster integration. It was found that most of the emotional states and behavioral reactions, which were described by adjectives, as a result of analysis can be the basis for the distribution of participants in the types, depending on the frequency of manifestation of the interrelated behavioral features. For representatives of each cluster, specific forms of motivation are offered. Proposals for improving the quality of the facilitator training team are put forward. The authors propose the use of the typology developed by them to motivate and predict the behavior of participants.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002440","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, an analysis of the link between the life and creative biography of Tolcott Parsons as one of the founders of structural functionalism, their influence on the way and style of his sociological thinking. From the point of view of the authors of the article, T. Parsons' autobiography suggests that the liberal way of thinking was natural to the American scientist. It is this method that has found its adequate reflection in his scientific work and determined the thinking style of one of the most prominent representatives of structural functionalism. It is emphasized that, in response to the accusations of violating the \"balance between succession and opportunism\" in his \"intellectual history\", T. Parsons raised questions that did not resolve this contradiction but significantly exacerbated it. Similar situations are classified by a number of intellectuals as schizophrenic in the culture of late capitalism. But they have their logic, based on the rules of which theorists offer different ways of getting out of contradictory social situations that provide temporary success, while creating the effect of their delayed exacerbation. It is emphasized that in the works of T. Parsons the contradiction between “social” and “societal” is realized but not resolved, where “societal” requires development and “social” requires order. It is proved that the functionalist style of sociological thinking creates the illusion of the possibility of its solution by the method of undeclared refusal to develop in the name of order, which, in turn, leads to a radical rejection of the principle of rationalism.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85913327","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Using the masked \"Hottschald's Included Figures\" test (30 tasks, objective test), we determined the cognitive style of the inmates' pollen dependence. The discrepancies between groups of first-time convicts and repeat offenders regarding pollen dependence on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov criterion were determined, as well as the analysis on the pollen dependence of sentenced persons of different age groups. Generally speaking, the cognitive style of inmate dependence is expressed at an average level – out of 30 tasks, on average, they solve about 15. But in the recidivist group, the average rate of pollen dependence is slightly higher than in the first convicted group. This means that poledependent people tend to ignore obstacles, expressive leadership, critical, skeptical, analytical reason, they distinguish between the nuances of the world and cynically use this imperfection of the world, the weaknesses of other people. Analysis of the pollendependence of sentenced persons of different age groups with the number of correctly solved objective test tasks showed that in younger convicted persons (from 20 to 25 years old), pollendependence is expressed on the average level – out of 30 problems they solved on average 15, 9, and convicts of middle age (26 to 34 years), on average, solve 16,3 tasks – the best indicator in terms of older age (35 years and older), they are lower than average, solve 12, 5 tasks. The breakdown by average age of the study groups indicates that the average age of first convicts is 25 years and that of repeat offenders is 32 years. This reflects the current trend in society – the trend of \"Rejuvenation of criminals\". Based on the results of our research, efforts should be made to correct the cognitive style of the perpetrators in order to increase the offspring's conviction and less conformism to the pressure of the crime environment on different age groups. It turns out that the age factor is more related to such a psychological characteristic of the subjects as polendependence than the factor of the first or repeated crime.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
