To achieve the goal ー to analyze the applicability of this theory to the study the mentioned topic ー the features and prerequisites for the formation of G. Arrighi’s theory are analyzed. The conceptualization of the problems of neocolonialism and global inequality is being carried out, an attempt to look at them through the prism of Giovanni Arrighi’s theory is made. The researcher’s work is regarded as macro-sociological and historical-sociological, which immediately puts it in a certain context. In addition, the author’s Marxist background and its influence on the theory and methodology of the researcher are analyzed. The article considers the central categories of the author and his relationship with other researchers (K. Marx, V. Lenin, A. Gramsci, H. Arendt, D. Harvey and F. Braudel). An attempt is made to evaluate the continuity and novelty of G. Arrighi’s ideas. The article analyzes the concept of capitalist imperialism by Giovanni Arrigi, which he considers as the main characteristic of the modern world order. The process of capitalism expansion is being studied through the lens of concepts borrowed from David Harvey: spatial-temporal fix and accumulation by disposition. The article examines the method of legitimizing capitalist imperialism at the inter- and supranational level. It also studies how G. Arrighi works with the concept of hegemony and extrapolates it from the group level on the supranational one. An attempt to apply the static aspect of the concept to explain the nature and functions of global systems of inequality is made.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84836173","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on empirical data obtained in a study conducted according to the World Value Survey methodology in December 2017, the author examines the generational section of the knowledge of Kharkov residents about (un permissible. The influence of gender and age and generational characteristics, as well as the “experience” of living in Kharkov on the permissiveness or veticity of perception of certain social phenomena by a particular group of Kharkovites is analyzed. Separately, the question of the relationship between generational, age and \"experience\" indicators is studied. It is emphasized that knowledge (namely, knowledge of the permissibility or veticity of some phenomenon, knowledge of its nature and essence) is a product of a social order or orders in the production and reproduction of which the agent participated, which is reflected in his biography, “experience” , social status. The emphasis is on the ratio of violent and non-violent violations, private and public violations, \"corporal\" and \"out-of-body\" violations. Perception by various socio-demographic groups is interpreted as a complex multidimensional phenomenon of permissiveness and veticity. The conclusion on the specificity of the factor conditionality of the social production of knowledge on the example of generational and gender-age factors is formulated.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"15 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90629832","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
{"title":"THE FEATURES OT THE INTERRELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE ATTITUDE TO THE OWN BODY AND SELF-ATTITUDE OF DIFFERENT AGED WOMEN","authors":"","doi":"10.26565/2225-7756-2019-67-12","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26565/2225-7756-2019-67-12","url":null,"abstract":"The article considers the problem of the relationship between the attitude to the own body and self-attitude of different aged women. Self-attitude is a phenomenon that reflects a general positive or negative attitude to own personality. Many scientists such as Z. Freud, A. Adler, O.O. Skugarevsky, S.V. Sivukha emphasized the importance of the body in forming a person's mental characteristics. Attitude to the own body is formed in the process of socialization through social institutions, art, science, everyday experience. In this research there was studied the relationship between the attitude to the own body and self-attitude of different aged women. Sample included women of two age groups: 20-40, 41-60. It was found out that dissatisfaction with own body in both groups was not expressed. We revealed that self-esteem of functional (endurance, strength, flexibility, speed, agility), anatomical (face, figure, legs, hands) and social (clothing, accessories, and cosmetics) characteristics of their bodies are on the high levels in both groups. Women between 41 and 60 have more interconnections between attitude to their bodies and different aspects of self-attitude (self-esteem, self-accusation, self-sympathy, etc.) in comparison with women of 20-40 ages. Middle-aged women tend to have higher self-acceptance and self-esteem than the younger group. From an evolutionary perspective, women are interested in being attractive to men. It increases their chances of getting a healthy partner who will provide them with the resources they need to raise their children. Studies show that men unconsciously pay attention to body proportions, skin quality and other health indicators. In our opinion, social characteristics have evolutionary importance. Social characteristics correlate with the expected attitudes of others in group of middle-aged women. Artificial appearance enhancement is aimed at attracting men and scaring away potential rivals. Perhaps women initially attract the opposite sex due to anatomical features, and when their body starts to change, they pay more attention to social ones.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002368","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The research is realized on a student’s sample of natural (Biology), philological (Foreign Languages) and mathematical (Mathematics) directions of learning. The following methods were used in the work: verbal-colour interference test (J. R. Stroop); motor test (J. Schwarzlander); third subtest of WAIS test; Thinking Styles Inventory (R. Sternberg); The Matching Familiar Figures Test (J. Kagan); Study of subjective control’s level (E. F. Bazhin, E. A. Golynkina, L. M. Etkind); «Analytical Review of Learning Style» (Rebecca L. Oxford). To determine the structure of metacognitive abilities, the method of factor analysis (Varimax raw) was carried out. As a result of factorization four factors were identified: metacognitive monitoring; personal control; self-organization of activity; activity programming. Each of the factors can be represented as a separate component of metacognitive abilities. The revealed structure corresponds to the concepts of J.H. Flavell, C.D Fritht, S.G. Paris and P. Winograd. Component “Metacognitive monitoring” is subject-nonspecific, it means that metacognitive knowledge does not depend on the field of professional education. Components “Self-Organization of Activity”, “Activity programming” and “Personal Control” have differences depending on the direction of student learning. Biology students (natural science) have a high level of “Self-organization of Activity” component. Students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages (philological direction) are characterized by the predominant development of the components “Self-organization of Activity” and “Activity programming”. Students of mathematics (mathematical direction) are distinguished by the developed components «Personality control» and «Activity programming». Subject-specific or subject-nonspecific nature of the components in the metacognitive abilities’ structure is summarised in conclusions.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
{"title":"TO THE PROBLEM OF PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTATION OF THE STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES TO STUDY AT THE HIGHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT","authors":"","doi":"10.26565/2225-7756-2019-67-07","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26565/2225-7756-2019-67-07","url":null,"abstract":"Nowadays the model for adaption complex in students with disabilities for studying in higher educational establishments is being developed and implemented that supposes the following main components: 1) physical adaptation to the space of institution (spatial component); 2) inclusion in the educational process (educational component); 3) adaptation to the environment of course-mates and faculty staff (socio-psychological component). In comparison with spatial component, educational and socio-psychological components are not well-developed. Scientists define the following factors of successful professional adaptation of the students with disabilities: basic level of preparation for study at university; correspondence of skills and experience with the volume and level of knowledge of academic activity; aspiration to acquire the chosen profession and to work in the given field; interest to the subjects of the general and special cycle; acquisition of skills to work independently; availability of tutors’ institution; professional and pedagogical expertise of teaching staff; psychological monitoring of teaching process and etc. Students with disabilities face the specific difficulties in the process of interaction with course-mates. These difficulties are connected with the course-mates not always being able to perceive and accept such people adequately. While showing sympathy, patience and understanding to these students, notionally healthy students are not eager to consider them as their friends and spend free time with them. On the other hand, the difficulties in interaction with course-mates and teachers for the students with disabilities resulted from their communicative skills – adequate self-expression in the process of communication, tendency to establish tight contacts, orientation to the compromise and cooperation. The process of adaptation of the students with disabilities to study at higher educational establishments is a complex and specific process. The specifics of the considered process is due to negative impact of student’s disability on it. Therefore, the process of adaptation to study at the university occur in two ways: adaptation to the outer conditions of the learning process and by way of displaying activity with the aim of overcoming own disability. Despite the described ways of students with disabilities adaptation to the learning process at higher educational establishments are closely connected, that is the second way that is considered to be the most successful one.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
{"title":"Ideas of Ulrich Beck in the Сontext of Modern Methodological Searches in World Sociology","authors":"","doi":"10.26565/2227-6521-2019-42-02","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.26565/2227-6521-2019-42-02","url":null,"abstract":"The article reconstructed the system and method of the German sociologist Ulrich Beck. The importance of this work in the methodological situation in modern sociology is shown. This situation is due to changes in the social world and the fourth scientific revolution, which takes place in science in general. A significant part of the concepts included in the conceptual networks of various paradigms of modern sociology were formed during the second scientific revolution. In addition, sociologists, who investigate the Modernity, face the impact of unscientific circumstances, such as global threats, pressure of the ruling classes, and others. Ulrich Beck influenced world sociology with concepts of risk society, Second Modernity, cosmopolitanism. His critique of methodological nationalism is important. His call for overcoming “zombie concepts” remains valid. At the same time, the German sociologist, calling for a new utopia, saw the path to a cosmopolitan federation of states with divided sovereignty in establishing cooperation between capital, states, and civil society. He could not offer any real mechanisms for this cooperation. For progressive shifts in the problems of modernity, the synthesis of the ideas of the Second Modern, the sociology of creative Marxism, the world-systems analysis and ecological sociology can be useful. By this time, these traditions are divided by barriers of incomprehension and competition for intellectual novelty. In the theory of the Second Modern, the disadvantage is also a strong contextual dependence on the current political situation. U. Beck created his texts as comments to current processes. For ideological synthesis, it is necessary not only to recreate the course of thoughts of sociologists, but to present their ideas in the form of coherent concepts in the context of the requirements of a new methodological situation. The Second Modern and its characteristics such as Globalization can be considered as a stage in the development of the world capitalist system. The idea of a Risk Society can resonate with the development of Environmental Sociology. Criticism of neoliberalism in the sociology of creative Marxism can provide greater objectivity to the idea of cosmopolitanism. But for this, it is necessary to reconstruct the conceptual series of these research directions, their methodological guidelines in connection with the philosophical foundations of their metasociological knowledge.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"174 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76905117","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample consisted of 63 people aged 18 to 22. The study revealed differences in the specifics of the views of married and unmarried men, as well as established a relationship between cognitive and motivational components in married respondents. All married women are dominated by the social aspects of love as opposed to the physiological aspect. In unmarried women, social and emotional aspects predominate, while physiological aspects are important for individual subjects. Regarding self-development, this factor becomes the leading one in the mutual desire of partners and getting married does not affect this factor. The perceptions of individuals in love relationships affect the level of desirability and readiness for marriage. Marriage is one of the manifestations of feelings of love but influenced by social factors. Psychological readiness for marriage arises after a harmonious combination of partners: physiological, emotional, spiritual and social views. Married and unmarried women have a close understanding of the concept of \"Love\", while married and unmarried men have a distant understanding of the concept of \"Love\". For men, the emotional component is important, and women are focused on the social context. For unmarried women, the emotional component of love plays the greatest role. All married women are dominated by the social aspects of love as opposed to the physiological aspect. In unmarried women, social and emotional aspects predominate, while physiological aspects are important for individual subjects. Regarding self-development, this factor becomes the leading one in the mutual desire of partners and marriage does not affect this factor. The components \"intimacy\", \"passion\" and \"devotion\" in all samples are present and expressed at approximately the same level due to the fact that the subjects are in the same age category, and the subjects who are married have no more than one year of married life. In married samples, the idea of love is related to the cognitive and motivational component, they are guided by the mind. They dilute the concepts of emotional intimacy and sexual desire, they are not interested in the purely physiological component of sex, and they emphasize the emotional component. For unmarried samples, sex does not play a significant role in the context of love, and the cognitive component is related to the need for self-development within love. Because the subjects are members of the same social stratum and are in the same age category, they are influenced by similar social norms, and they tend to think according to certain social stereotypes. The obtained results have theoretical interest and practical significance for further research of the feeling of love in psychotherapeutic practices, for the construction of various psychological trainings.","PeriodicalId":52798,"journal":{"name":"Visnik Kharkivs''kogo natsional''nogo universitetu imeni VN Karazina Seriia Psikhologiia","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69002723","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
