The purpose-designed survey method was used in this study. There were 24 high school students who were respondents in this study. Each respondent is given access to a google form consisting of 28 statements with a Likert scale response and seven open-ended questions. Finding result were analyzed by carrying out several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, verification and drawing conclusions. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that the profile of students' belief about mathematics to be good in terms of believing that mathematics is a science that can be applied to various activities in real life. However, they tend to lack understanding of what is meant by applied mathematical problems, as a result of a lack of confidence in their mathematical abilities. Overall, the learning process carried out by the teacher in the classroom also affects the students’ belief about mathematics profile. This research is expected to provide a broader understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of students in terms of belief about mathematics related to applied mathematical problems. In-person learning is no longer implemented to minimize the impact of the spread of the virus. Due to this fundamental change, children’s education that can be accessed from home has become a necessity. Parents now have a duty to become teachers for their children at home. Such occurrence is the result of the implementation of learning from home, which is supported by online learning. It serves as a panacea for the education sector during the Covid-19 era. Online learning is appealing due to its easy accessibility, wide reach, comfort, and flexibility in terms of participation. However, online learning has its own shortcomings. Among others, it limits interaction with others, making students feel isolated from their teachers and classmates. This article uses narrative review to analyze and elaborate on 30 journals that discuss learning from home, in terms of the impact of social change on students and the experience of parents.","PeriodicalId":52686,"journal":{"name":"Paedagogia Christiana","volume":"219 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82995384","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are inseparable parts of everyday life. This study was focused on teachers' perspectives on STEM learning in kindergarten level. STEM learning in this article included activities integrated into the existing themes in kindergarten. STEM learning involves children's creativity and stimulation to solve problems, know the solutions, and think logically, mathematically, and critically. In its implementation, STEM learning cannot be separated from the teachers' perspectives. Thus, analysing teachers' perspectives on STEM learning in kindergarten, including what activities were included, will contribute to early childhood education development. This research was a qualitative study and carried out using an online interview. Drawing on data from 50 kindergarten teachers in Indonesia as the respondents, findings of this study indicated that the term STEM was still considered unfamiliar for kindergarten teachers, the implementation and benefits of STEM in kindergarten also implemented with a more flexible model.","PeriodicalId":52686,"journal":{"name":"Paedagogia Christiana","volume":"54 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88408829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A man–a person – is an ontically substantial individual being, demanding an external cause, which is the Pure Act of Existence–Transcendens–Absolute. The personalistic pedagogics and the pedagogy of the person are therefore inherently related to transcendence. If the subject and object of education is a human person, then transcendental pedagogy must be a sine qua non condition for practising personalistic pedagogics and pedagogy of the person. Personalistic pedagogics and the pedagogy of the person are also intrinsically related to teleology. Efficient cause is coupled with purposeful cause. If there is an action of the Absolute which results in the existence of a man, a human person, then the Absolute, as the fullness of good, is the ultimate goal-motive and final cause of the man–human person. The teleological aspect in personalistic pedagogy and the pedagogy of the person means a particular aim and meaning orientation; full realisation of potentialities and tasks dormant in a unique being–a human person. The goal is not to achieve perfection, but to direct to your original source – the Transcendent–the Absolute–God.","PeriodicalId":52686,"journal":{"name":"Paedagogia Christiana","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43522240","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
