Vingt-quatre joueurs d’une Academie pole espoirs rugby ont participe a cette etude pendant une saison. Quatre seances de preparation mentale comprenant de la fixation d’objectifs et de la focalisation attentionnelle ont ete delivrees en debut de saison, a la suite desquelles un carnet d’entrainement a ete distribue aux joueurs. Une seance de revision des objectifs a ete ajoutee a la mi-saison. Les habiletes mentales, la motivation, le stress et la recuperation en contexte sportif ont ete mesures par des questionnaires. L’utilisation du carnet d’entrainement et la survenue de blessures ont ete recoltees de maniere prospective. Les resultats montrent que l’intervention a ete suivie d’une augmentation des scores de motivation intrinseque et des strategies de recuperation specifiques. Les joueurs de deuxieme et troisieme annees semblent plus sensibles a l’intervention que les nouveaux joueurs. Currently, there is no consensus on the most appropriate evaluation to detect gait disorders following LEoP. This study aimed to assess and compare the effectivenes of the gait profile score with that of the symmetry index (SI) to charaterize gait abnormalities resulting from the LEOP. The SI for stance, swing, double-support duration and the step length, and gait profile score were computed from gait analysis of 12 poliomyelitis subjects and 12 healthy participants. Receiver operating characteristic analysis was used to measure the sensitivity and specificity of the SI and the gait profile score to discriminate patients with the LEoP and healthy participants. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve was calculated for both gait the profile score and SI. With AUC values all above 0.83 (good discrimination), SI and GPS significantly discriminated the participants with the LEoP from the healthy participants (all p- values < 0.001). The aim was (1) to assist cyclists in optimizing their pedal technique and (2) to improve their perception of the execution of the pedal movement. 21 male sport students (28.1 ± 3.8 years), randomly divided in three groups: no feedback (nF), visual feedback (vF) and audiovisual feedback (avF), completed four tests in two training sessions. The Wattbike cycling ergometer measured pedal forces and provided them as vF or avF. Also the participants’ subjective perception was requested. All groups reduced the amplitudes of force and power output, with the avF group showing the greatest change. There were improvements in the overall shape of the pedal cycle with avF which is reflected in a rounder and more consistent shape, and balanced between each leg (strong pushing and balanced pulling phase). Individual statements underline the possibility of a quick modification of the pedal technique after two training sessions with feedback. Thirty one climbers (age 26.9 ± 5.5 years, height 177.2 ± 7.5 cm, weight 70.5 ± 8.3 kg, fat percentage 11.9 ± 4.1 %, climbing skill 18.9 ± 4.0 IRCRA scale) performed climbing specific grip tests measuring isometric strength (peak force, rate of force development and maximal voluntary contraction (and dynamic strength (power and peak velocity in pull-up) on a 23-mm campus rung. Further, an intermittent finger endurance (7 seconds work, 3 seconds rest at 60% of maximal voluntary contraction) test to failure was conducted. All tests were performed on two separate occasions (separated by 2–5 days) with and without blood flow restriction (200 mmHg) in a randomized order. The results demonstrated no differences in the isometric strength tests (p = 0.496–0.850, ES = 0.060–0.170), dynamic strength test (p = 0.226–0.442, ES = 0.200–0.330) or the intermittent finger endurance test (p = 0.563, ES = 0.160). Durant les periodes de recuperation, les sensations corporelles et certaines donnees physiologiques etaient relevees. De plus, une analyse de verbatim post 24 h etait mise en place. Les resultats revelent un puissant lien entre le corps vivant et le corps vecu. Les arts martiaux chinois en fournissent une illustration eclairante : a force de repetitions, l’athlete gagne en competence et peut progressivement expurger les modalites reflexives de conscience de l’execution des techniques, au profit de modalites « corporelles ». Dans leur cas precis, cette conscience corporelle s’enracine dans la sensibilite haptique. Les techniques emancipees du controle de la conscience, une forme d’inconscient moteur est invitee a prendre les renes de l’action : l’experience sedimentee qui agit selon le naturel de sa propre spontaneite (自然, ziran ). Et le soi, detache de la conscience et coextensif a cette habilete acquise (son gongfu , 功夫), est redefini en un sens qui le fait communier avec le fonctionnement des choses, le dao (道). Selon notre hypothese, les activites sportives dans des pays totalitaires correspondent a des actions collectives, qui combinent les apports ambivalents de la foule et permettent d’explorer differentes tendances psychosociologiques : competition, cooperation, obeissance, identification, etc. L’analyse comparee dans les trois pays (Allemagne, Italie, URSS), qui etaient sous les regimes totalitaires, demontre la place du sport comme etant a la fois un produit esthetique du corps humain et un producteur de l’image du « nouveau monde », necessaire pour promouvoir leurs ideologies. The assumption is that implementation of such technologies will enhance skill acquisition and expedite athlete development. However, application of such technologies for enriching athlete development and performance preparation needs to be efficiently and effectively used by coaches and athletes to save time, energy and other resources in practice and training. Here, we argue that implementation of VR systems needs to be grounded in theory, with learning designs informed by a clear scientific rationale. We discuss how the full potential of VR systems can be utilised through implementing a theoretical framework, like ecological dynamics, to shape their application. We outline how an ecological dynamics framework can underpin research and applications of VR in athlete development through: (i) individualised training and assessment programmes, (ii) supporting exploration of variable and creative practice environments, and (iii), ensuring context-dependent perception and decision making, and actions, where technology permits. De tres nombreuses etudes se sont interessees aux correlats neuro-vegetatifs de l’apprentissage de tâches cognitives, en particulier dans le cadre des apprentissages scolaires. Il y a cependant tres peu de resultats qui concernent l’apprentissage moteur des habiletes complexes. Nous avons enregistre le rythme cardiaque (HR) et la reponse electrodermale (EDR) de participants impliques dans une tâche d’adaptation a une perturbation visuo-manuelle. Vingt et un adultes droitiers ont effectue une tâche de pointage de cibles statiques avec une tablette graphique. Apres une periode de pre-test, nous avons introduit une discordance inattendue en rotation entre l’espace moteur (tablette) et l’espace visuel (ecran), discordance disparaissant apres une periode d’adaptation. Quatre participants furent exposes a une perturbation faible (5°) alors que tous les autres subirent une perturbation plus importante (60°). Nous avons trouve des changements significatifs de HR et de l’EDR lors de l’apparition et disparition de la perturbation, mais aussi lors de la phase d’adaptation dans le groupe 60°. Nous avons en particulier mis en evidence une baisse significative de HR et une augmentation significative de l’EDR lors de l’apparition de la rotation. Son implication dans ce type d’action sera conditionnelle a la representation sociale de ce groupe sur ce qu’est la sante. L’objectif de l’article est de documenter la representation sociale (RS) de la sante d’entraineurs de hockey, documente et exploite dans le cadre d’un processus de legitimation des savoirs avec Hockey Quebec. La methodologie s’appuie sur un dispositif de triangulation des donnees obtenues par un questionnaire et des entrevues individuelles. Un echantillon de 330 personnes a repondu au questionnaire et de ce nombre, 12 entraineurs ont participe aux entrevues. Des analyses categorielles et prototypiques ont ete realisees sur des associations de mots tires du questionnaire ainsi qu’une analyse thematique pour les entrevues. L’etude permet de faire ressortir la structure de la RS avec trois conceptions differentes et six dimensions qui offrent des elements pour juger des opportunites et des limites d’impliquer les entraineurs de hockey en promotion de la sante.
