The profound transformation of the healthcare system and the advent of new analytical and digital technologies highlight the urgent need to link research to clinical practice. At the international level, especially in the United States, these programs point out the key role of healthcare professionals with both medical and scientific expertise. In France, a DCSS during medical studies was set up in the 2000's. This training is still heterogeneous and is not organized in all Faculties of Health Sciences. The Rouen Faculty of Health Sciences observed in 2016 that the number of students involved in DCSS was very low or even zero, depending on the year. The Rouen Faculty of Health Sciences initiated an institutional support in 2017 that led to the creation of a student mentorship dedicated to DCSS. This mentorship and the institutional leaders of this course have initiated a theoretical and practical training program. The organization of the DCSS of the Rouen Faculty of Health Sciences and the creation of a student mentorship program enabled us to increase the number of candidates interested in the DCSS (from 2 in 2016 to 26 in 2021) and to obtain an institutional recognition of this double major.</p>","PeriodicalId":519512,"journal":{"name":"Medecine sciences : M/S","volume":" ","pages":"698-706"},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"33462335","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

L’une d’elles vient d’être validée par l’essai ANRS QUATUOR. Elle consiste à prendre deux fois moins de médicaments, en rendant le traitement intermittent. À la demande des patients non adhérents à sa prescription standard, Jacques Leibowitch a encadré cette pratique dès 2002, en s’appuyant sur une étude transgressant le dogme de l’adhésion stricte au traitement quotidien. Ce concept de traitement à temps partiel provenait des travaux du groupe d’Anthony Fauci, mais il le revisitera pour le pousser à son apogée avec la cohorte Iccarre. Son intention strictement thérapeutique s’inscrivit initialement dans le cadre du protocole de soin Iccarre qui, en 2020, comptait 96 patients, majoritairement en réduction médicamenteuse de 70 % grâce à l’ultra-intermittence thérapeutique. Il a posé les bases de l’essai contrôlé QUATUOR dont le résultat, récemment publié, montre la non infériorité des traitements intermittents à 4 jours/7 de médicaments par rapport au traitement standard.","PeriodicalId":519512,"journal":{"name":"Medecine sciences : M/S","volume":" ","pages":"707-713"},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2022-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"33462336","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of therapies aimed to improve these functions after spinal cord injury is therefore necessary. Repeated magnetic stimulation (rMS) is an innovative and non-invasive technique which has been used to modulate the activity of neuronal networks in various diseases such as bipolar disorder or Parkinson's disease. rMS could therefore display beneficial functional effects in people with spinal cord injury. Studies carried out in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo have made it possible to partly understand the mechanisms underlying the modulation of neuronal activity induced by rMS protocols. Its use in preclinical models of spinal cord injury has also shown beneficial functional effects.
