The method is verified by Matlab/Simulink simulation tool. In the simulation waveform, the estimated speed of the super-twisting sliding mode control is almost consistent with the actual speed of the main propulsion motor, and the estimated rotor position is almost consistent with the actual rotor position of the motor, with small error. It is proved that this method has good practicability and effective feasibility in ship electric propulsion system, and provides theoretical reference for the design of ship electric propulsion system.","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":"97 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135427337","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analytical mode matching method is applied to the compatibility conditions of the three-dimensional acoustic fields at the device geometric discontinuities, leading to the computation of the complex wave amplitudes in all the subdomains involved and the corresponding device transmission loss. To have a realistic model, three-dimensional propagation must be considered in the inlet/outlet ducts and chambers, while one-dimensional wave propagation has to be assumed along the small capillaries of the aftertreatment device monolith (such catalytic converters and particulate filters); therefore, the monolith can be replaced by a plane wave four-pole transfer matrix from an acoustical point of view. On the other hand, for large aftertreatment device inlet ducts such as those found in heavy-duty and off-road engines, the usual models with plane incident wave excitation are not accurate since the onset of higher order incident modes in the inlet duct is expected for the frequency range of interest. Therefore, a variation of the acoustic attenuation performance is likely to occur depending on these modes, similar to the results previously found in the case of large dissipative silencers. Results are presented for three different multimodal incident sound field hypotheses: equal modal amplitude, equal modal power and equal modal energy density. A relevant influence on the sound attenuation is found for the test problems considered in the current investigation.","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135427538","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To enable hydrogen in-cylinder direct injection, a specialized hydrogen gas injector was employed. A comparative analysis of the combustion performance between gasoline and hydrogen fuels in a spark-ignited engine was conducted. Additionally, the study experimentally explored the thermal efficiency and emission reduction potential of hydrogen engines in lean combustion modes. The results indicated a significant improvement in the combustion rate when hydrogen fuel was utilized in the spark-ignited engine. However, the effective thermal efficiency was found to be lower than that of gasoline fuel due to the delayed MBF50 under stoichiometric conditions. Furthermore, when compared to gasoline fuel, the reduction of CO and THC emissions was accompanied by an increase in NOx emissions. Nevertheless, optimizing the air dilution ratio in hydrogen engines led to an improvement in the effective thermal efficiency. Specifically, under medium load conditions, a Lambda value of 2.7 resulted in an effective thermal efficiency of 43.5%. Additionally, under ultra-lean conditions (Lambda > 2.3), NOx emissions could be reduced to below 50 ppm, reaching as low as 44 ppm. This study highlights the potential of improving combustion efficiency and reducing emissions by utilizing hydrogen fuel, particularly in lean combustion modes. It contributes to the continuous development of hydrogen engine technology and promotes the implementation of cleaner and more efficient energy solutions.","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135427552","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The bottom wall and the middle section of the flask were maintained at a constant high temperature T h , while the upper, left, and right walls up to the middle of the flask were kept at a low temperature T c . The HNF consisted of Graphene (Gr) and Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) nanoparticles (NP) dispersed in pure water. The governing equations were solved numerically using the finite size approach and formulated using the Boussinesq approximation. The effects of the NP volume fraction φ (ranging from 0% to 6%), the Rayleigh number Ra (ranging from 10 4 to 10 6 ), and the Nusselt number ( Nu) were investigated in this simulation. The results indicated that the heat transfer is noticeably influenced by the Ra number and the increase in the φ ratio. Additionally, the agitator rotation speed had a slight effect on the heat transfer.","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":"100 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135433952","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, the trajectory planning problem is transformed into an optimal control problem by establishing a vehicle kinematics model for the low-velocity scene, the dynamic constraints including the physical constraints, the collision avoidance constraints, and the endpoint constraints. The optimal control problem are discretized into a nonlinear programming problem by piecewise Gauss pseudospectral method according to the movement area during parking process. The shortest time to complete parking is taken as the objective function. The Gauss pseudospectral method is further adopted to solve the nonlinear programming problem in the two parking stages. Three parallel parking conditions with different lengths of parking spaces and three vertical parking conditions with different widths of parking spaces are set for simulation verification based on Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show that the proposed method can uniformly and effectively solve the trajectory planning problem of the tractor-semitrailer vehicle. Compared with the traditional pseudospectral method, a shorter parking time and a significantly higher convergence rate can be got with the method, which further indicates that the proposed method has good effectiveness and robustness.","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.1,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46094803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pump is of the roller plunger type construction. This structure enables the pump to have good performance even under high and variable speed conditions. Firstly, force analysis of this pump and establishment of mathematical model of pump mechanical efficiency. The influence of load pressure and speed on mechanical efficiency was obtained by numerical simulation through matlab. Then the prototype was designed and manufactured. The pump outlet pressure, outlet flow rate, and torque were measured on the test bench under various load pressure and speed, and mechanical efficiency of pump at various load pressure and speed was got. The experimental data and simulation are close. 65 ml/r fuel pump has a volumetric efficiency of 99% and a mechanical efficiency of 58.6% at a load pressure of 3 MPa and a speed of 1500 rpm. From experimental results, 65 ml/r fuel pump volumetric efficiency is high, but there is a problem of low mechanical efficiency. The piston of pump will be optimized for improved mechanical efficiency of pump. Then mechanical efficiency of the optimized pump is calculated and compared with mechanical efficiency before optimization. Results show that piston optimization will increase mechanical efficiency of pump.","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.1,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42571279","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this purpose, a dual predictive model adaptive switching control decision for directional control is proposed. Firstly, a multi-point preview algorithm and a general regression neural network are designed to percept the current local target paths for the tractor and semitrailer. Then, a kinematic predictive model control algorithm for low-speed path tracking control and a dynamic predictive model control algorithm for high-speed path following and lateral stability control are established respectively. In addition, an S-type switching function is introduced to realize smooth switching between the two control algorithms. Finally, the directional control decision in this study is validated by the numerical simulations under different conditions and compared with single-point preview driver and the MPC driver without considering semitrailer. The results show that the proposed approach can accurately track the target path and effectively improve the high-speed lateral stability.","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.1,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42903168","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pendulum oscillates in two directions, θ and ϕ , from which the mathematical model was derived and two torque components in oscillation directions were introduced. They are estimated using stabilometric data acquired by a foot pressure mapping system. The model was quantitatively investigated using data from 19 participants, who were first were classified into three groups, according to the foot arch-index. Stabilometric data were then collected and fed into the model to estimate the torque’s components. The components were statistically processed, and the results revealed that the components in direction θ are able to reject intrinsic perturbation. The frequency spectrum of the components in direction ϕ was processed using fast Fourier transform, and the results showed the feasibility of the component in segregating foot deformities. In addition, high-arched foot cases tended to be more stable than other cases because the exerted torque is less. The torque profiles estimated by our model were compared with the profiles derived from a classical inverted pendulum. In most cases, our results showed a significant change (t-test p < 0.05).","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.1,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43357758","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

When one part usually pinion fatigued, the pair will be replaced. It inevitably leads to a waste of resources and time. To solve this phenomenon, a method to remanufacture pinion with ease-off topology modification is proposed. First, the wheel and pinion were measured to fitting tooth surface, and then a conjugate surface of wheel fitting tooth surface was derived. Secondly, an ease-off topology surface was superimposed to the conjugate surface to improve mesh performance, and then a design tooth surface was obtained. Thirdly, a mathematical model to process pinion was established and original machine-tool settings parameters of pinion were calculated. The deviations between design and original tooth surface of pinion were count, and an error correction model of tooth surface was established to adjust machine-tool settings parameters. Finally, an experimental verification was conducted. The pinion was remanufactured by a face-milled generator and the mesh performance was consistent with design. The result demonstrates the method proposed is effectiveness and feasible. It provides reference for the remanufacture of large-size spiral bevel gears and has good value for engineering application.","PeriodicalId":49110,"journal":{"name":"Advances in Mechanical Engineering","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":2.1,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42313735","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"工程技术","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

And it has a thermal conductivity that is over 20% lower than that of ceramic insulating tiles. Then, the integrated structure was regarded as a homogeneous plate, and the equivalent mechanical and thermal parameters were determined and verified by simulation and experimental results. The equivalence error was controlled within 10%. Finally, a simulation model of the telescopic wing was established. The result shows that the maximum deformation under 20 kPa surface pressure is 3.96 mm. The temperature resistance of the structure surface is up to 1500°C, and the wing internal temperature is controlled within 200°C after 1200 s of thermal loading.
