Every incident can be seen as a problem that must be avoided or at least minimized its consequences. In aviation industry we can identify several interesting tasks that can be solved by means of data mining methods, e.g. prediction of important meteorological phenomena as fog or low clouds; prediction of potential incidents or problem situations etc. In our case we used public dataset from Federal Aviation Administration Accident/Incident Data System containing more than 22 thousand records from the period between years 2000 and 2013. Our goal was to generate a prediction model that will be able to identify possible risk situations based on significant input factors extracted from dataset with the best possible accuracy. This paper describes the whole process as well as the very good results that we achieved. Our model can be further used to reduce the number of incidents with fatal/death consequences.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131048219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In general case both type species can be settled in and extinct from the ecosystems can be transformed from each to other and a complicate (connected) differential equation system used for description could possible to be solved by ecosystems approximation. The results showed this separation into two types seemed to only be artificial, but it also has biological background, as it may reflect a real difference in the reproductive strategy of species. This latter suggested a little modified criterion compared with the earlier for the division, and the model applying for this case showed a real difference both two types, namely the rare species are stable and the frequent ones are dynamically, as well as that there is no transformation between the rare and frequent species defined in this way. A further consequence is that the differential equation system describing the processes has also become to be separated and they will be solvable one by one without approximation.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131803422","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Being relatively simple the BDI model doesn't take into account several aspects of human reasoning, including the role of emotions. The work presented in this paper contributes to the recent effort to extend the BDI model and its implementations with emotions as defined in the emotional model OCC by psychologists Ortony, Clore and Collins. The contribution has a form of design and implementation of the JBdiEmo engine - an emotional engine built on the top of the Jadex BDI agent platform. In this paper we deal with components of the engine, its basic processes and the way in which it is connected to the underlying Jadex platform. In particular, we focus on the process of the emotional engine initialisation, emotions-related message passing and specification of emotions eliciting conditions in the context of beliefs, goals and plans of agents.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114985820","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Moreover, their robustness to parameter variation, which is generally hardly predictable, should also be tested. Here a fast hybrid adaptive control is proposed, where a conventional PD controller is placed into the feedforward branch and a fuzzy controller is placed into the adaptation branch. The fuzzy controller compensates for the actions of PD controller under conditions of inertia moment variation. The design of fuzzy controller is based on the results of optimization using simulated annealing algorithm. The results confirm fast action of the control scheme as well as its robustness to changes in inertia moment variation.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132598472","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also compares the relationship between individual inputs factors and their mutual interactions on the AAO thickness at monitored current density of 1.00 A·dm-2 and 6.00 A·dm-2. The developed predicted model describes the influence of input factors on the final AAO thickness by cubic function and its reliability is 99.37 % at current density of 1 A·dm-2 and 99.47% at current density of 6 A·dm-2.
