This paper focuses on two complementary artifacts: refactoring and evolution. The complementarity principle is explained as well as the generic picture on software evolution and refactoring are presented; the principles of symbolic execution are used in the equations of the proofs. Refactoring and evolution will be elements of the basic set of morphisms of the software evolution category, which is aimed to be the basis of a software evolution simulation model.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117166518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To be able to control distribution grid in the condition of not elastic demand and continuously changing structure of the supply taking into account possible failures of supplies and also the fact that the supply of renewable energy sources (RES) can be poorly predicted, requires new mechanisms for flexible demand management. Such mechanism of grid control will be outcome of the international R&Đ project INERTIA that is funded by the EC within EU 7th Framework Programme, which is aimed at Smart Grids with the use of knowledge technologies. The semantic technologies were employed for several purposes. Semantic models were used for modelling of static data/time-independent data. Time-dependent data representing events are annotated to the semantic models. This enables the system to filter, compute and enrich the event data and present them via GUI of a decision support system to operators. A demo application has been developed by the authors. It illustrates the usage of the semantic data models in the decision support system giving a sample mechanism to control the demand side of the electric grid. The demo application and the overall approach adopted in the INERTIA system are presented in this paper.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129503286","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The designed module is a complex unit consisting of fifteen sub-modules. The module is able to connect to other modules, submodules of others modules or split itself to sub-modules to perform a desired action. This article presents the process of module shape design to maximize the usable volume with acceptable force power effect between sub-modules. Moreover, the article presents the first physical version of the module, which was designed to verify proposed kinematics of the module and for experimental verification in three types of predefined movements.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"69 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128351894","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ranging from the military tactical intelligence through border defence to disaster management, from intelligent homes to industrial process control there is a vast variety of usages, the common features of which is the minimisation of human resources and the realization of the widest possible scale of automation. An important component of sensor networks is the hardware that is the sensors themselves, however, the algorithms that are responsible for building relationships between the nodes of these networks, enable the transmission of data from one node to another and ensure fast and error tolerant operation also possess at least as high importance as sensors. These tasks must be realized at the least cost possible, in the most effective way that is in the most optimal way while taking the circumstances into account. This paper aims to classify the algorithms applied for these sensors and to compile a criteria system for this classification.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131587023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model is based on the word dependencies, formed by sequences of word combinations that are called dependency chains. Characteristic word sets are defined within the dependency chains and the discriminated transitive closure of direct dependence as well as its notation in the form of the incidence matrix are assigned. The procedures and algorithms of semantically cohesive sentence fragments detection are constructed on the basis of the introduced concepts.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"151 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114899479","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Facet-like structures occur in many computer science disciplines as some hierarchical structures. GOSCL constitute from (objects, properties) pairs known as the formal concepts. The hierarchical structure of formal concepts, ordered by the generalization and specialization among the concepts, forms a concept lattice, which represents a concept hierarchy where each node represents a subset of objects with the corresponding set of properties. The paper focus on GOSCL model for facets and discusses some graphical representations of faceted systems based on this model.","PeriodicalId":441172,"journal":{"name":"2014 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Applied Machine Intelligence and Informatics (SAMI)","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-05-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129231059","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
