(2007) y Vecchione et al. (2010) en poblacion adolescente de Entre Rios, Argentina de 11 a 17 anos. Se analizo la validez de constructo, su invariancia en funcion del sexo y la edad y los niveles de fiabilidad. Se trabajo sobre una muestra no probabilistica, intencional (N = 303). Los participantes eran estudiantes de nivel secundario, 95 varones (n = 95) y 208 mujeres (n = 208), radicados en la ciudad de Parana, Entre Rios. El instrumento sobre el cual se realizo la adaptacion es un inventario breve, compuesto por 10 items y en su version original se encuentra en ingles. La escala presenta dos dimensiones: Regulacion Optimay Apertura a la Experiencia de Vida. Los resultados del Analisis Factorial Confirmatorio permiten corroborar que la escala es multidimensional. Con respecto a la consistencia interna, el coeficiente de confiabilidad fue adecuado tanto para la puntuacion total de la Escala como para las dos dimensiones analizadas separadamente. Se encontro que el modelo bifactorial se ajusta bien tanto a los varones como las mujeres, siendo invariante en cuanto al sexo y tambien en cuanto a la edad. Estos hallazgos son consistentes con lo propuesto por diversos autores. Asi, es posible afirmar que las propiedades psicometricas de la adaptacion al idioma espanol realizada en Entre Rios, Argentina, de este instrumento son satisfactorios. Abstract The main objective of this work is to evaluate the psychometric properties of the adaptation to the Spanish language of the Revised Self Resilience Scale (Ego-Resilience Scale - R) of Alessandri et al. (2007) and Vecchione et al. (2010) in the adolescent population of Entre Rios, Argentina from 11 to 17 years old. He analyzed the validity of the construct, its invariance according to sex and age and the levels of reliability. It is required on a non-probabilistic, intentional sample (N = 303). The students were secondary level students, 95 men (n = 95) and 208 women (n = 208), based in the city of Parana, Entre Rios. The instrument on which the adaptation was made is a short inventory, consisting of 10 items and in its original version is in English. The scale has two dimensions: Optimal Regulation and Opening to the Experience of Life. The results of the Confirmatory Factor Analysis allow corroborating the scale is multidimensional. With respect to internal consistency, the reliability coefficient was adequate both for the total score of the Scale and for the two dimensions analyzed separately. They found that the bifactorial model fits both men and women well, being invariant in terms of sex and also in terms of age. These findings are consistent with what is proposed by various authors. Se ha optado por seleccionar un modelo parsimonioso y revalidar una herramienta de tres factores para la medicion de los estilos de crianza en la Republica del Ecuador. Los analisis factoriales confirmatorios muestran un ajuste adecuado a estas tres sub-dimensiones de estilos parentales tanto para el estilo materno como para el paterno. En la poblacion del Ecuador, se han encontrado diferencias significativas entre el Control y la Negligencia recibidas por los hijos por parte de los padres; apuntando un mayor Control y Negligencia materna hacia los hijos varones y un mayor Control de los padres hacia los hijos varones. De modo individual, existe un mayor Amor, mayor y menor Negligencia percibida por los hijos por parte de la madre. Las explicaciones de estos resultados estan basadas en idiosincrasias culturales. El insumo principal de este estudio es la revalidacion de una herramienta de diagnostico familiar en la Republica del Ecuador con fines de investigacion y tratamiento. Abstract Parenting styles have been defined under various multidimensional models of diverse complexity. A parsimonious model has been chosen to revalidate a three factor questionnaire in order to measure parental styles in the Republic of Ecuador. Confirmatory factorial analysis show an adequate fit to these three factors model for both maternal and paternal styles. In the Republic of Ecuador, significant differences have been found between the Control and Neglect received by the children. A greater maternal Control and Neglect towards male children and greater paternal Control towards male children have been found. From an individual point of view, there is greater Love, greater Control and lesser Negligence perceived by the children on behalf of the mother. Explanations of these results are based on cultural idiosyncrasies. Sin embargo, desde una perspectiva psicoanalitica, la investigacion busco mostrar que diversos factores existentes en las organizaciones formales, implicita o explicitamente, coexisten como parte de estas y se encuentran estrechamente relacionados con elementos introyectados de origen por el sujeto a partir de la familia. Bajo una perspectiva metodologica de corte cualitativo, se realizo un estudio de caso en una empresa familiar de laboratorios clinicos. Los hallazgos indican que los integrantes, familiares consanguineos o no, pueden reproducir conductas y comportamientos en espacios organizacionales familiares y establecer lazos afectivos, ademas de colaborar en los objetivos economicos esperados. Se concluye que la familia debe ser reconocida como la base nutricia socialmente de cualquier organizacion, para profundizar en su conocimiento, influencia e impacto en las organizaciones humanas. Abstract The family, from the Organizational Studies, is not considered as an organization, since it does not have basic elements that it requires: a group of people and associated groups to produce goods or services, among others. However, from a psychoanalytic perspective, the research sought to show that various factors existing in formal organizations, implicitly or explicitly, coexist as part of them and are closely related to introjected elements of origin by the subject from the family. Under a qualitative methodological perspective, a case study was conducted in a family business of clinical laboratories. The findings indicate that members, blood relatives or not, can reproduce behaviors and behaviors in family organizational spaces and establish emotional ties, in addition to collaborating on the expected economic objectives. La muestra se compuso de 502 deportistas y practicantes de actividad fisica espanoles, con una edad comprendida entre los 18 y los 64 anos ( M = 27.76, SD = 9.11). Se utilizo un cuestionario sociodemografico ad hoc , el Test Autoevaluativo Multifactorial de Adaptacion Infantil (TAMAI), el Inventario de Expresion de Ira Estado-Rasgo (STAXI-II) y la Escala Oviedo de Infrecuencia de Respuesta (INF-OV). Los resultados mostraron mayores niveles de ira rasgo ( p < .05), temperamento ( p < .01), expresion interna de ira ( p < .01) e indice de expresion de ira ( p < .05) en aquellos deportistas y practicantes de actividad fisica con madre autoritaria alta. Por otro lado, los resultados mostraron mayores niveles de ira rasgo ( p < .01), temperamento ( p < .01), reaccion de ira ( p < .01), expresion externa de ira ( p < .01), expresion interna de ira ( p < .01) e indice de expresion de ira ( p < .01), en los deportistas y practicantes de actividad fisica con padre autoritario alto. Se concluyo que los padres autoritarios y madres autoritarias influyen en los niveles de ira de los deportistas y practicantes de actividad fisica. Por otro lado, el padre con bajos niveles de autoritarismo mostro mayor relacion con el control externo de ira por parte de los deportistas y practicantes de actividad fisica. Abstract The objective of this research was to know the differences in anger levels in athletes and physical activity practitioners with high and low levels of authoritarian fathers and mothers. The sample consisted of 502 Spanish athletes and physical practitioners with an age range between 18 and 64 years old ( M = 27.76, SD = 9.11). To measure the different variables were used, an ad hoc sociodemographic questionnaire, the Multifactor Self-Assessment Test of Child Adjustment (TAMAI), the State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory (STAXI-II) and the Oviedo Scale of Infrequency Response (INF-OV). The results showed greater anger levels ( p < .05), temperament ( p < .01), internal anger expression ( p < .01), and anger expression index ( p < .05) in the group of authoritarian mother athletes and physical practitioners. On the other hand, the results showed greater levels of trait anger ( p < .01), temperament ( p < .01), anger reaction ( p < .01), external anger expression ( p < .01) and anger expression index ( p < .01), in athletes and physical practitioners with high authoritarian father group. Regression analysis showed that a greater external anger expression is more likely to have a greater authoritarian father (OR = 1.12, p < .01) and greater authoritarian mother (OR = 1.20, p < .01). The purpose of this research was to obtain evidence of the validity of the internal structure of the Morale Questionnaire used by the Spanish Armed Forces in military operations overseas. Two subsamples of 250 Spanish soldiers deployed on an international mission in Lebanon participated in the study. The questionnaire was applied at the beginning and at the end of the mission, respectly. The results obtained through Exploratory and Confirmatory Factorial Analysis and Structural Equation Modelling, allowed to assess the questionnaire statistically obtaining a tool that consists of 26 items, agglutinated in six factors. The theoretical dimensions of the original tool were mostly maintained. This will permit Spanish Armed Forces to have a reliable measuring instrument that will facilitate specific predictions about morale and its consecuences on the battlefield. Resumen Evaluar la moral de las tropas ha sido una preocupacion de los lideres militares a lo largo de la historia, principalmente por el nivel de participacion que este factor podria tener en la resolucion de conflictos en el campo de batalla. El objetivo de esta investigacion fue obtener evidencias sobre la validez de la estructura interna del cuestionario de moral utilizado por las Fuerzas Armadas Espanolas en operaciones militares en el exterior. Dos submuestras de 250 soldados espanoles desplegados en una mision internacional en Libano participaron en el estudio. El cuestionario se aplico al principio y al final de la mision. Los resultados obtenidos a traves del Analisis factorial exploratorio y confirmatorio, asi como el Modelo de ecuaciones estructurales, permitieron validar el cuestionario obteniendo estadisticamente una herramienta que consta de 26 items, aglutinados en seis factores. Las dimensiones teoricas de la herramienta original se mantuvieron en su mayoria. El objetivo es evaluar la eficacia de un programa de intervencion basado en los comportamientos de rediseno del trabajo en el engagement laboral de profesores. La muestra estaba integrada por 82 profesores brasilenos de educacion publica dividida en dos grupos. El grupo de intervencion se realizo con 41 profesores de ambos sexos (81 % femenino) y el grupo de comparacion tambien con 41 profesores de ambos sexos (79.1 % del sexo femenino). Al final de la intervencion, las puntuaciones de los participantes del grupo de intervencion, en las escalas de engagament en el trabajo y de comportamientos de rediseno, excedieron significativamente las puntuaciones del grupo de comparacion. Los hallazgos encontrados recomiendan la implementacion de programas de intervencion basados en los comportamientos de rediseno que concienticen los docentes mas de sus demandas y de sus recursos como forma de aumentar su engagament con el trabajo. Abstract Research has evidenced that interventions to increase employees’ resources and decrease their work demands can enhance their work engagement. Objective assess the efficacy of an intervention program based on job crafting behaviors on the job crafting behaviors and work engagement of teachers. The sample consisted of 82 public education teachers divided in two groups. The intervention group consisted of 41 male and female teachers (81 % female), while the comparison group also consisted of 41 male and female teachers (79.1 % female). At the end of the intervention, the scores of the participants in the intervention group on the work engagement and job crafting behaviors scales were significantly higher than the scores in the comparison group. Se estudia la frecuencia del uso problemático de Internet en adolescentes. Se administró el Cuestionario de Experiencias Relacionadas con Internet (CERI) y medidas ad-hoc para evaluar la frecuencia de uso de Internet y variables sociodemográficas en una muestra de 712 adolescentes de 12 a 18 años de la provincia de Alicante (sureste de España). Los resultados muestran que al menos el 14.8 % presenta puntuaciones elevadas en uso problemático de Internet. Además, se observa que el 20.9 % utiliza más de 4 horas al día Internet, mientras que el 45.4 % hace uso a diario de Internet, y el 51 % más de 10 horas a la semana. Se halló una relación significativa entre PIU y la frecuencia de uso diario, no así entre PIU y variables sociodemográficas. Estos datos suponen una primera aproximación al fenómeno en la provincia de Alicante que sugiere la necesidad de profundizar en estudios sobre este fenómeno emergente.AbstractThe common use of the information and communication technologies (ICT) occurs in all groups and sectors, while its greater exposure among adolescents has made us to worry about the negative consequences that may cause in this population. We study the frequency of experiences related to the problematic use of Internet (PIU) in adolescents. The Questionnaire of Experiences Related with Internet (CERI) and ad hoc measures to assess the frequency of Internet use and socio-demographic variables were administered in a sample of 712 adolescents from 12 to 18 years of the province of Alicante (southeast of Spain). The results showed that at least 14.8 % presents elevated scores on PIU. Furthermore, 20.9 % of the sample used Internet more than 4 hours a day, while the 45.4 % makes use Internet daily, and 51 % more than 10 hours a week. We found a significant relationship between PIU and the frequency of daily use, but not between PIU and socio-demographic variables. Algunas investigaciones han podido comprobar como la exposicion a imagenes de valencia negativa tiene efectos en el reconocimiento posterior de emociones en poblacion sin TEA. En cambio, los escasos estudios que existen acerca de la permeabilidad emocional en personas con TEA, muestran patrones atipicos de respuesta fisiologica ante la induccion de emociones. En la presente investigacion se analiza la repercusion de la induccion emocional «negativa», a traves de imagenes del International Affective Picture System (IAPS; Lang, Bradley y Cuthbert, 1995), en el reconocimiento de emociones a traves del rostro mediante la Facial Discrimination Battery (FDB; Rojahn, Esbensen y Hoch, 2006), en un grupo de 31 personas adultas con TEA y discapacidad intelectual. Se realizo una ANOVA de medidas repetidas y los resultados demostraron la existencia de cierta «impermeabilidad» emocional, ya que la induccion de emociones no influyo en el reconocimiento emocional posterior. Estos resultados son coherentes con el modelo de hipoexcitacion, que defiende que las personas con TEA experimentan menos excitacion o recompensa cuando atienden a los estimulos sociales. Abstract One of the core symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) is the deficit in the socio-emotional area, showing atypical response patterns to social stimuli and responding with different levels of activation or arousal (hyperexcitation or hypoexcitation). Some investigations have shown how exposure to negative valence images has an effect on the subsequent recognition of emotions in a population without ASD. In contrast, the few studies that exist on emotional permeability in people with ASD show atypical patterns of physiological response to the induction of emotions. In the present investigation, the impact of \"negative\" emotional induction is analyzed, through images of the International Affective Picture System (IAPS, Lang et al., 1995), in the recognition of emotions through the face through Facial Discrimination Battery (FDB; Rojahn et al., 2006), in a group of 31 adults with ASD and intellectual disability. An ANOVA of repeated measures was performed and the results demonstrated the existence of a certain emotional \"impermeability\", since the induction of emotions did not influence the subsequent emotional recognition. Una de las herramientas mas difundidas para evaluar los enfoques de aprendizaje es el Approaches and Study Skills Inventory for Students (ASSIST), que en su version abreviada permite valorar mediante 18 items tres enfoques de aprendizaje (Profundo, Superficial, Estrategico). Dada la importancia que este instrumento tiene para evaluar los enfoques de aprendizaje en estudiantes universitarios, el objetivo de esta investigacion es validar la version espanola para el contexto argentino. Para ello se adecuo primero linguisticamente el inventario a los modismos locales, para luego examinar evidencias de validez de constructo (analisis factorial exploratorio, confirmatorio, e invarianza factorial) y evidencias de validez concurrente. Tambien se estudio la confiabilidad del instrumento mediante el analisis de consistencia interna. Se obtuvo una herramienta compuesta de 14 reactivos que posibilita evaluar los enfoques de aprendizaje Profundo, Superficial y Estrategico propuestos por la teoria. El modelo resultante de los procedimientos exploratorio y confirmatorio exhibio una adecuada invarianza factorial, y las dimensiones del inventario presentaron indices de consistencia interna superiores a .80. Ademas se obtuvieron evidencias de validez concurrente coherentes con la teoria y con resultados empiricos previos. Abstract The study of approaches to learning enables the description of preferences manifested when facing a specific learning task. One of the most widespread instruments for assessing learning approaches is the Approaches and Study Skills Inventory for Students (ASSIST). In its short version of 18 items, the ASSIST measures three learning approaches (Deep, Surface and Strategic). Given that the availability of this instrument would be of great value and needed to research learning approaches in college students, the objective of this research was to develop an Argentinean version. To meet this end, the inventory underwent an initial linguistic adaptation to the local forms of expression and idioms. Then, construct validity was examined (exploratory and confirmatory factorial analysis, and factorial invariance) together with analyses of concurrent validity. Reliability was examined by means of analyses of internal consistency. The resulting 14-item instrument may be used to describe approaches to learning as proposed by the theory: Deep, Superficial and Strategic. The measure obtained by exploratory and confirmatory procedures showed an adequate factorial invariance. The dimensions of the inventory had internal consistency indexes greater than .80. However, research has mainly focused on school-aged children. The aim of this study is to identify risk factors in early life for overweight in a community sample of Spanish preschoolers. A sample of 622 three-year-olds was monitored until the age of 5, and their height and weight were registered annually. Overweight status was defined by World Health Organization standards. A large set of risk factors including sociodemographic variables, family structure, pregnancy, birth, postnatal period, school and neighborhood were measured through semi-structured interviews. Stepwise logistic regressions created predictive models with the best predictors of overweight for each age group. This is the first longitudinal study to examine a large set of risk factors among Spanish preschoolers. Several potential early risk factors in preschool children were associated with later overweight: high birth weight, ethnicity, excess screen time, low attention span, maternal smoking during pregnancy, inconsistent discipline, fewer rules, corporal punishment and parents psychopathology. Among them, the most powerful factor was high birth-weight (odds ratio = 1.89 at age 3, 1.87 at age 4, and 2.35 at age 5), underlining the importance of weight monitoring from postpartum and routine screening for overweight in children who have high birth weight.
