The ability of thinking critically is effected by the competence of knowledge acquired by the students. Based on midterm exam, the result showed that 87,5% of students do not meet the minimum exhaustiveness criteria (KKM). One way that can be condusted to overcome it is applying inquiry learning model.the purpose of this research is to find out the effect of inquiry learning model towards studens’ critical thinking skills. The research is Quasi experiment research by using Randomized Control-Group Research Posttest Only Design. The population is VIII class student in SMPN 11 Padang. The sample is VIII.B students as an experiment class and VIII.C students as a control class, that are selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is final test in form of essays to see the effect of inquiry laerning model of critical thinking ability of students. The hypothesis in this research is examinated by t-test, because the data is distributed normally and it has homogenen variation. Based on the research, the result showed that critical thinkingability t arithmetic > t table (4,23 > 1,67). Critical thinking is an activity through thinking about ideas related to concepts or problems. The efforts to improve critical thinking skills of learners can be done by using the appropriate learning model. One of the learning models that can be used to improve the ability of critical thinking is a problem-based learning model. This type of research is quasi experiment with randomized control-group pretest posttest design. The sample of this research choosed by used purposive sampling method. Class VIII6 as experimental class and class VIII4 as control class. Data of this research result are quantitative data of critical thinking ability. Data were analyzed by using t test. The results showed that the mean difference of posttest value with pretest value of critical thinking ability of experimental class learners is higher than control class. Hypothesis testing with t-test obtained tcalculate=2,94>ttable= 1,67, then H1 accepted. There was known as 4D model which were define, design, develop. The data were collected by using validity questionnaire and practicality. The subject of this study were 2 biology lecturers, and 2 biology teachersas the validators, 2 biology teachers and 25 students grade XI Science at SMAN 1 Batusangkar, as the practicalitator. The data of this study was primary data which was validity and practical data. Efforts that can be done is to apply advanced organizer learning model on global warming material in SMPN 22 Padang. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the implementation of advanced organizer learning model on the results of science learning class VII SMPN 22 Padang. This type of research is experimental research with Randomized Control Group Posttest Only Design research design. Population in this research is all class VII at SMPN 22 Padang registered in Academic Year 2017/2018 amounted to eight class. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling technique, which selected as research sample is class VII.8 as experiment class and class VII.7 as control class. The instrument used is a matter of posttest for knowledge competence. The hypothesis in this study was tested using t-test. The developed product will be validated by 3 validators including 2 lecturers of biology and 1 biology teacher of SMAN 4 Padang, while for practicality will be done by 32 students of SMAN 4 Padang. The data of this study include the primary data obtained from the questionnaire filled directly by the subject of research. Media that teachers use when the learning process is also less interest and motivation of learners. In addition, the media has not provided a clear picture for learners in relating it in everyday life. This study aims to develop a contextually oriented contextual learning medium for a valid and practical X class. This research is a development study. This learning medium was developed using three stages of 4D models. Data obtained from the validation and practicalization. Media that has been designed, validated by three experts, then tested to a teacher and 30 students of class X in SMA Negeri 12 Padang to know the level to the practitioner. Learners tend to have concerns in implementing learning to achieve good learning outcomes, so learners want to increase learning outside the school. Today, there are a lot of learning counseling institutions that are developing in various regions in Indonesia. This leads to a lot of interest of learners to follow the guidance of learning outside school. The purpose of this study is to see the contribution of tutoring outside school to the learning outcomes of learners who follow the guidance of learning outside the school on the subjects of biology class XI Science SMAN 7 Padang. The population of this research is all students of class XI IPA SMAN 7 Padang. Research samples are learners who follow and learners who do not follow the guidance of biological learning outside the school. The sampling technique used saturation sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is the median test, because one of the data is not normally distributed and the two groups are homogeneous. The average learning outcomes of learners that is 86.91, not too significant difference with those who do not follow the guidance of learning outside the school with an average of 84.88. The result of data analysis shows that there is no contribution of learning guidance to learners' learning outcomes which follow the guidance of study outside school with comparison of X2 count 0,270 and X2 table 3,84, so X2 count <X2 table. The result show that percentation score before action is 67% in enough criteria, in first cycle up to be 76,25% with good criteria, and in the second cycle increase to 76,25% also in good criteria. In addition, students are less motivated, less active in following the lesson because of the lack of interaction of students with teachers or students with students. This is because teachers provide learning materials using only lecture methods. Students just listen and record what the teacher explains so that students are less understanding of the material. If there is a teacher who asks only one or two students who answered and others prefer silence. Students who want to ask or answer teacher questions are only high-ability students, while low-ability students do not want to be actively involved in learning. The low affective ability of students is also determined by the initial knowledge of the students, The aim of this study was to comprehend effects of jigsaw cooperative learning model and early ability on affective ability in biology of class XI IPA students in education year 2015/2016. This quasi experiment studey used 2 x 2 factorial study design. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in class XI IPA4 as experiment, and class XI IPA3 as control groups. The instrument used is the affective aspect score sheet.
