The apparatus will be used in a classroom for hand-on experiments on the refraction of light and on related topics, with particular emphasis on atmospheric effects such as mirages and Fata Morgana. Besides, in the preparation of this activity thermodynamical concepts, such as solubility, phase transitions and thermal stability are also involved. The ingredients and tools used in the preparation are easily available in household stores and do not present any risk of serious injuries. Models  and devices of isolating structures to mitigate seismic actions are presented. As an  application an easy example is illustrated in the case of a single degree of freedom (SDOF)  structure, showing as basic knowledges of mathematics are fundamental to formulate and  solve problems in different fields of applied sciences, as seismic engineering. The creator of this pedagogical approach was Giuseppe Sergi, a universal scientist, famous throughout the world in his time. In this contribution, pedagogical anthropology is illustrated through an overview of his life and work. The scientific method is also analyzed as the foundation of pedagogical anthropology. Finally, suggestions are given in order to address the problems that modern times pose to pedagogy. L’antropologia pedagogica fonda la sua metodologia di insegnamento sulla natura dell’uomo. L’ideatore di questo approccio pedagogico fu Giuseppe Sergi, scienziato universale, famoso in tutto il mondo dei suoi tempi. In questo contributo, l’antropologia pedagogica e illustrata attraverso una panoramica della sua vita e del suo lavoro. Verra anche analizzato il metodo scientifico, mostrando come l’antropologia pedagogica si basi proprio su di esso. Accurate reconstructions of extinct organisms are particularly impressive in the transmission of research results to a wide public. Life restorations of endemic elephants and hippopotamuses that lived in Sicily during Quaternary are here presented. The restorations are based on anatomical and biometric studies and are realized using graphite pencil on cardboard. Particular attention is addressed to the scholars personality features and to the innovative methods and approaches employed in his research which encompassed not only Fourier analysis but also the greenhouse effect and climate science. Pasqua","doi":"10.1478/AAPP.99S1A25","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1478/AAPP.99S1A25","url":null,"abstract":"The development of innovative teaching methods is an effective way to promote new science education standards, in view of a positive feedback of the student performance. Despite the teachers positive attitudes towards the application of innovative learning approaches, the rapid progress of science and technology in the last decades requests a renewed global approach and a synergistic organization of the educational contents for an efficient teaching of the scientific topics. Modern teaching programs request then an efficient approach which allows to clearly identify the role of each discipline within the complex organization of the novel scientific concepts. In recent years, the progress in soft condensed matter research was driven by modern methods in both the experimental techniques and the theoretical approaches. In this article, we propose a conceptual map for a multidisciplinary approach of the post-graduate programs in soft condensed matter physics, one of the most important field in modern science and technology scene. We highlight the conceptual interconnection and the synergistic relation between different sub-disciplines of the field. The proposed conceptual map may stimulate the exploration of new approaches for the integration of knowledge and skills both from the experimental and theoretical point of view. In this paper, the authors proposed a forensic-based learning methodology in teaching geochemistry using the fluorine compounds and their chemical, mineralogical and geochemical properties. With the assignment of a hypothetical, although realistically, issue, students will develop communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, and self-directed learning skills based on recommended topics.
