The surface electromyography sEMG can be used to quantify force level of the muscle contraction. The main objective of this work is the study of the relationship between different features of sEMG signal and force level of contraction. The most popular time and frequency parameters extracted from sEMG signal are root mean square (RMS), mean absolute value (MAV), median frequency (MDF) and mean power frequency (MPF). The results of the experiment showed an increasing in time domain parameters values and a decreasing in frequency domain parameters values during four successive contractions significantly with the increasing in force level contraction. Furthermore, the sensitivity is calculated for each parameters. (RMS) and (MPF) have been selected as the best features to evaluate muscle force.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"61 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123456690","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It contributes 9% to GDP and 20% to employment. Nevertheless, its productivity remains lower in comparison with that of other countries. This benchmarking informs us about the importance of savings deposits that the sector can make by improving its productivity. For this, it is necessary that the employees are qualified, flow management is reliable and the production management system is good. The integration of lean manufacturing in the organization of craft enterprises would contribute to this improvement. Lean is a Japanese approach to production management, based on the elimination of wastes “mudas”. Lean and craft production share some objectives, namely production in small series, unitary production and the pull business model. In this article, we present the tools can be useful for craft entreprise to improve their productivity and enhance their competitiveness.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124968945","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its research object has developed from searching for “the shortest route” to searching “the optimal route”. The related algorithms and techniques differ in different situations. In addition to distance problem, the influence of various parameters factors should also be analyzed under the complicated conditions. The amount of the accidents in the world is terrifying and it is viewed as the highest in the world. So in this situation, we need an efficient method for fast intervention that will respond in such situations. Therefore, it is important to encourage the study in ambulance management and routing by introducing a new strategy for guiding ambulance toward the position of the accident in an efficient way. A distributed solution is proposed based on the ant colony system algorithm model. The improved method is based on a distributed architecture to compute and find the optimal path for a set of emergency vehicles. Based on the defect of the ambulance route planning, this paper puts forward a new distributed model to find the best way that minimizes the time while taking into consideration the cases of problems that can appear each time such as traffics, speed limit, number of available ambulances, the position of the hospitals.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"253 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123895090","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present a numerical model to predict the radiation response of a multi-junction solar cell, resulting from ionization and excitation of semiconductor's atoms by charged cosmic rays. The developed model is based on the drift-diffusion semiconductor equations, in which we incorporate some additional terms to include the irradiation-induced defects. These additional terms are modeled vias the Shockley-Red-Hall theory. In addition, this model uses the quantum mechanical Bethe-Bloch formalism to describe the reaction of both heavy and light charged particles with semiconductor materials, forming the solar cells.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131213709","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Starting from its Markov random field formulation, which defines the solution as the global minimizer of a non-convex non-smooth energy function. The DPS algorithm transforms the line process mixed energy into a discrete optimization problem and proposes a BFS search strategy to find the optimal state. We develop a numerical scheme to replace the BFS search by a simple linear scan over the edges of the MRF. Each visit to an edge considers a local blanket of the MRF and then computes the estimated signal around the vicinity of the edge. The gradient of the solution will decide the existence or absence of a discontinuity based on a threshold. Theoretical results shows that the new implementation has a linear time and space complexity, but the local aspect reduces the robustness of the method against noise. A set of numerical simulations assist to show the reduction in time compared to the classical implementation and to compare the restoration quality against state-of-the-art algorithms.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130670857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This problem consists generally on planning a vessel assignment to the berth, with the objective of minimizing the time spent by vessels in port. In our study, we consider a hybrid berth's type where two vessels can be moored at the same time if their total length is less or equal to the overall length of the berth. Indeed, this hybrid case is rarely taken into account by the other studies which always supposed that a berth can serve just one vessel at the same time. A mathematical model is presented which in addition to assigning a given berth to each vessel calling at the port, aims to minimize its staying cost at the terminal. Different computational experiments based on the traffic data observed from Tangier container terminal in Morocco are realized to show the effectiveness of our results.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121991244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
