This new method is based on the family of proximal algorithms. We customize our algorithm to solve different unconstrained optimization problems, and we verify the theoretical of the proposed method via different numerical examples where we compare the new algorithm with some existing state-of-the-art algorithms. Finally the simulation results proved the performance of the algorithm and indicates the advantage of the proposed algorithm in the case where the hypotheses are verified.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134050202","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is an industrial challenge involving the questioning of today's fixed structures and the promotion of methods adapted to the new nature of materials. The economic performance of a production entity is dependent on the reliability of its equipment, therefore the control of the maintenance policy. To meet these requirements, this paper proposes a structured methodology based on powerful probability laws that describe the behavior of an equipment; recent statistics laws to evaluate the parameters. The SVR (Support Vector Regression) method is used to identify the parameters of Weibull law of; consequently, the degradation law control of a good allows to react at the opportune moment.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123883047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There is considerable potential for reducing emissions in the shipping sector. Various solutions are already existing and a plethora of technologies available for retrofitting on existing vessels. The article presents an example of practical application of energy saving by fitting the central cooling system with keel cooler on the Car Ferry “ASD” trading in west Africa. The use of that solution is limited to small ships, with new development, central cooling system with keel coolers has a chance to spread out on bigger ships in the future. It will mainly depend on efficiency and reliability of keel coolers secure systems.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124399457","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

MRI offers a rich information of the studied tissues and tumors according to the MR nuclear parameters such as T1, T2 and proton density. However, some of these parameters change depending on the temperature. The temperature distribution in tumorous area is higher than surrounding normal tissues, which causes a significant changes on MR parameters, the studied MR parameter in this work is T1 relaxation time. The thermal effect of tumor is calculated by estimating tumor thermal profile, which is converted to T1-weighted signal intensity using Spin Echo sequence (SE). In this wok, numerical strategy by finite difference method was used to solve the Pennes bioheat transfer equation. We considered tumor anisotropic thermal conductivity tensor and found has a significant influence regarding the thermal profile on the tumorous region.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"605 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115761743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Similarly, wireless sensor networks (WSN) have been increasingly integrated into intelligent transportation systems (ITS) to improve the quality and the effectiveness of proposed services. In this paper, we design a WSN-based ITS application in which vehicles are considered as mobile nodes. Indeed, this application aims to prioritise critical service vehicles (CSV) such as ambulance, fire truck, police car, etc. by managing road traffic flows dynamically. Our main goal through this work is to analyse the medium access control (MAC) in the context of this application by considering variations in speed and number of mobile nodes as well as other important criteria, and therefore, judging the suitability of some existing MAC protocols for such high dynamic context.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114463794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Thus, the use of multiprocessor systems on chip might be a solution to follow the growing complexity of these applications without degrading their performance; whereas this new generation of systems consumes more energy which leads to take the power as a critical metric in the design flow. To fulfill this challenge, different simulations based on virtual platforms power and energy estimation were done, but unfortunately they didn't focus on complex architectures by adding soft-core processors. The present paper proposes a methodology applied on an open virtual platform, the LIBTLMPWT (Library of Power and Temperature at the Transaction-Level-Modeling) in which all power and temperature computations are integrated into the SystemC/TLM model. This library simulates a minimal SoC model in which the Microblaze and the VGA controller are the main components. Firstly, we will implement power models at the SystemC/TLM level on the LIBTLMPWT, and then run different applications to evaluate accurately the activities used in the power models as a second step. This two steps lead to grab the software effect on the power consumption.","PeriodicalId":433166,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Optimization and Applications (ICOA)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129337362","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
