For this purpose, the education enrollment index has been constructed, as a proxy for human capital. The study has collected secondary time series data and utilized the ARDL technique for the empirical results, during the year 1974-2020. The findings of the study concluded that the education enrollment index and infant mortality rates show a positive relationship with economic growth. The rate of inflation shows a negative relationship with the GDP growth rate. The results of the study suggested that the provision of education facilities is crucial especially at the higher and secondary levels to pursue the path of economic growth in Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":432891,"journal":{"name":"iRASD Journal of Management","volume":"70 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126237530","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This forces poor farmers to resort to usurious and non-institutional financing leading to a poverty trap. Literature has explored different dimensions of lack of financing facilities. The primary objective of this study is to categorize different dimensions pertaining to the under fulfilled financing needs of farmers to derive restructuring suggestions for Salam applicability in Pakistan. The variables are drawn using thematic analysis of studies published between 2008 to 2020, which conducted exploratory surveys of financial issues from farmers in agriculture sector of Pakistan. The studies are selected from databases including Google Scholar, EBSCO and Web of Science. The derived variables are validated using an independent rater using the interclass correlation coefficient. Rater validated all generated variables via thematic analysis. Most studies pointed to issues of finance accessibility and resource availability. The closest study pointed out the financing of agricultural machinery is the most discussed issue.","PeriodicalId":432891,"journal":{"name":"iRASD Journal of Management","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-02-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116504751","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study examined the formal institutional distance between emerging and developed economies and their role in M&A initial contract ineffectiveness by expanding the phenomena of the pre-completion stage of M&A-contracts. We examine our key questions using data of 832 cross-border M&A-contracts of developed economies’ firms with emerging economies’ firms in the international business high-technology industry from 1984-2011. We find that formal institution distance explains part of the variation in the ineffectiveness of M&A-contracts. Further the gain from the external capabilities provided by advisory organizations helps in reducing the effect of institutional distance on the M&A-contract ineffectiveness.","PeriodicalId":432891,"journal":{"name":"iRASD Journal of Management","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115333868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Historically, the transfer of power through the local system of government (LGS) was seen as an important tool to accelerate the transition to representative democracy on the subcontinent. However, it was largely aimed at creating a new political class that would support colonial rule and meet the political demands of the local population for power sharing within the boundaries of the colonial government structure. Due to their embedded interests, the colonial legacies in South Asian states offered non-representative state institutions such as the military enough space to influence the transformation process of democracy. The paper has two main objectives: (1) to explore the concepts of power devolution and their associative nomenclature; (2) to analysis of the political and administrative dimensions of decentralization to underpin the structure of decentralization in South Asia in general and Pakistan in particular. The results of the study are that the lack of the weakest local government system in the South Asian region in general, and in Pakistan in particular, is due to the colonial legacy of an ongoing controlled political mindset in the form of bureaucracy, frequent military coups, a lack of political will to develop a welfare state in Pakistan. It uses the qualitative research methods of phenomenology and correlation, which sheds light on the meaning of relative terms often used to explain delegation of authority for political and administrative purposes.","PeriodicalId":432891,"journal":{"name":"iRASD Journal of Management","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132035432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

EWOM communication has been an exciting explorationin the area of branding and there is an emerging attention on the effectiveness of EWOM communication. This research used a quantitative approach and the data was collected through questionnaire. Model and hypothesis were drawn by the researcher to comprehend the attitude towards the brand repurchase intention. Regression analysis technique was used to identify the cause and effect relationshipamongstconstructs and to determine significance in the results. The study was conducted on 300 consumer respondents and research results were analysed by using SPSS and PLS. It was found that positive EWOM with moderating effect of brand awareness strongly influences development of positive brand attitude and consequently cause repurchase intention towards that brand. Several theoretical contributions and practical implication are also discussed. Interestingly,it was found that the effect of EWOM will become stronger when individuals are aware that others will evaluate their behaviour due to social conformity.","PeriodicalId":432891,"journal":{"name":"iRASD Journal of Management","volume":"172 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114131862","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Strict implementation of the evidence-based policy solutions could serve as a regulatory tool to gradually overcome this issue. The current study examines the role of environmental governance (environmental-related taxes) and green energy (renewable energy consumption and production) on the carbon dioxide (CO2) emission of the ten most CO2 emitting countries. The study has used economic growth as the control variable. Data has been extracted from the world development indicators (WDI) from 2012 to 2020. The study employed the robust standard error and fixed effect model (FEM) to examine the linkage among the variables under consideration. The results indicated that environmental governance and green energy have a significant role in reducing environmental degradation in the ten most CO2 emitting countries in the world. The findings of this empirical and evidence-based study suggest to the relevant environmental management authorities, administrative bodies, and policymakers to incorporate environmental governance and green energy in their environmental management strategies.","PeriodicalId":432891,"journal":{"name":"iRASD Journal of Management","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127817338","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
