Apresenta os significados da opcao preferencial pelos pobres, inaugurada em Medellin e solenemente proclamada em Puebla e mostra como esta opcao foi assumida pelo magisterio posterior, tanto na America Latina quanto no magisterio universal; em seguida, sistematiza os aspectos da aporofobia ressaltados por Adela Cortina e, ao final, propoe cinco desafios teologico-pastorais: redescobrir a opcao pelos pobres como graca, perceber a necessidade do envolvimento emocional com os pobres, descobrir a riqueza dos pobres e recusar o discurso do odio, refletir sobre caminhos para eliminar a pobreza e contribuir para uma nova economia. Em tudo isto, o magisterio de Francisco mostra-se profundamente iluminador. E uma abordagem marcadamente de cunho historico, tendo como referenciais de analise a renovacao do Vaticano II e sua recepcao criativa por Medellin, que teve em Puebla um contraponto de segmentos conservadores e em Santo Domingo seu estancamento. O texto esta estruturado em tres partes: na primeira, faz referencia ao consenso entre magisterio e teologia latino-americana em Medellin, ao confronto em Puebla e Santo Domingo, hoje neutralizados por Francisco; na segunda parte, apresenta em grandes linhas o processo de “involucao eclesial”, iniciado a meados da decada de 1980 e que se prolongou ate Aparecida e a eleicao do Papa Francisco; na terceira parte, dado o novo momento eclesial criado por Aparecida e o novo pontificado, justifica-se que ha uma nova chance para a tradicao eclesial libertadora. We chose a field research, using the qualitative research methodology of case study and as a research tool the critical analysis of the discourse, in the French current, in the view of Dominique Maingueneau. The chosen field of research was a public school, which offers exclusively Secondary Education, located in the peripheral region of the municipality of Belo Horizonte. The school is located in a region with a high index of social vulnerability, according to a survey conducted by Belo Horizonte City Hall in partnership with CRISP - UFMG that consolidated the indice de vulnerabilidade juvenil de Belo Horizonte (IVJ-BH/2015). The work was developed between March 2017 and February 2019. The research work involved a bibliographical review sought to understand the thinking of Emmanuel Levinas, the issue of religious intolerance and the Critical Analysis of the French Current Discourse. Concomitant to the bibliographic review, we carried out observation and data collection in the field delimited previously, through informal and semi-structured interviews and questionnaire application. Among the several actions in progress, education for the sustainability waves with real and concrete perspectives. This research is part of the investigation of this education, in the line \"Religion, Politics and Education\", and had as objective to analyze the Course Eco design in sustainability, of Gaia Education Program, under the perspective of the sustainability and the spirituality. It also sought to identify if spirituality is present in the course and what its typology would be. The Program was created in 2005, by the Network of Global Ecovillage Educators for a Sustainable Earth, becoming a standard complement by the UN for the \"Decade of Education for Sustainable Development 20052014\". Based on the Pedagogy of Experiential Learning, the Gaia Education Program aims to provide technical tools that enable its students to learn different sustainable practices, based on community experiences and the relationships they establish with the environment, whether rural or urban. The methodology of the research was the bibliographic nature of primary and secondary sources, through course materials and reference works in the area of education, sustainability and spirituality, in the context of the Sciences of religion, theology and environmental and social sciences. After the research, it was verified the articulation between education, sustainability and spirituality, as well as that this present spirituality is sui generis, revealing spiritual practices and dialogue as a reference for the development of education for sustainability in an integral way. Nevertheless, the preferential option for the poor, consecrated in the Final Document of the Episcopal Conference held in Puebla of Los Angeles, is still the cause of much controversy inside and outside the Church. Bearing in mind this context, this article aims to present the resonance of the cry of the poor in the context of the Puebla Conference; demonstrate that this cry is not recent: it has been present since antiquity, and was contemplated in the earliest sacred texts, including the religious culture of Israel and the Christian religion; to reflect on this cry of impoverished crowds in contemporary times. The research is bibliographic, based on the Official Document of the conclusions of the Puebla Conference; from critical analysis by Latin American theologians, as well as from articles and books by authors from the epistemological field of the Sciences of Religion. Based on this premise, founded on the research of scholars such as Warburg, Jean Seznec, Erwin Panofsky and Fritz Saxl, the intent of this paper is to delineate the historical paths which legitimized the survival of the myth of the Sibyls in the Christian world in its close association with astrology. Paganism was not reborn after the Middle Ages. It has always been an intrinsic element of Christianity, not only symbolically, but also as a direct impact on people and their lives. Some particular moments in history are in this sense noteworthy, from the apologist priests of primitive Christianity to the birth of modern science. The sibyls and astrology, as \"outside\" witnesses, are a constant presence in Christian theology, literature and music, as well as in artistic representations of the Christian world, which is the focus of this paper. The survival or afterlife (Naschleben) of the sibyls throughout history is further affirmed by the writings of the patristic and scholastic theologians, and also evidenced in the work of Albumasar, the Muslim theologian born in the 8th century, who associates sibyls, astrology and the Virgin Mary. How can we justify the presence of the sibyls on the ceilings of Catholic churches?
