Modern universities of medical specialization are characterized by an increased intellectual load in conditions of insufficient physical activity, which necessitates increasing the stress resistance of the students' organism. The means of physical culture used to reduce stress vary for different groups of people. The relevance of the choice of topic is due to the fact that evening walks are suitable for people of any age, including students, and have no contraindications. The purpose of the study: to compare the indicators of the emotional state and quality of sleep of students who take daily evening walks in the fresh air, and the indicators of their peers who prefer spending time at home. It is assumed that students who combine physical activity in the process of implementing elective disciplines in physical culture and sports with daily walks have higher rates of emotional state and sleep quality than their peers who do not use physical culture in their free time. The study involved 180 students of the Northern State Medical University. The analysis of the emotional state of students was carried out according to the method of L.A. Kurgansky and T.A. Nemchina. According to the results of the survey, students who take evening walks have higher indicators of emotional state than those who prefer spending time at home. To study sleep indicators, a questionnaire for scoring the quality of sleep by Y.I. Levin. According to the results of the survey, students who take evening walks have higher rates of sleep quality. The conducted studies have shown that the means of physical education can optimize the emotional state of students, reduce anxiety, tension and discomfort. Walking improves the quality of sleep. Thus, the studies obtained state the importance of systematic exercise, even the simplest and most accessible to everyone, such as evening walks in the fresh air.","PeriodicalId":426710,"journal":{"name":"Current Issues of Sports Psychology and Pedagogy","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124482041","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author, based on theoretical analysis and empirical studies, shows the psychological causes and conditions of success, as well as identifies risk factors for adverse effects on the athlete’s activities. Based on the study of self-assessment constructs of highly qualified athletes, their claims and personal characteristics, the author established that only the optimal level of consistency of self-assessment parameters and claims leads to success, and their inconsistency – low self-esteem and high inadequate claims – leads to mental malaptension, one of its forms of which is the dissociative complex “Risk Triad,” which prevents athletes from achieving success. As an important research task, the author attempted to distinguish sports success models based on the identified variants of the relationship of self-esteem constructs and claims, covering different relationships of mismatch (divergence) of these selfesteem measurements with the personal characteristics of athletes. The data obtained in the empirical study emphasize the significance of the ratio of self-assessment and claims as important variables for the successful performance of highly qualified athletes in competitions. This area of research is supplemented by a detailed analysis and description of the manifestation of personal features such as motivation, level of anxiety, orientation of the control locus from the points of view of success-failure of highly qualified athletes.","PeriodicalId":426710,"journal":{"name":"Current Issues of Sports Psychology and Pedagogy","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130790318","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample of subjects consisted of 40 athletes aged 15-21, masters of sports and candidates for masters of sports in rhythmic gymnastics. It was revealed that in the course of the study, differences in the relationships between personal resources of athletes of different qualifications were revealed. The article focuses on the fact that during studying the personality of an athlete it is necessary to take into account the social environment of an athlete and the process of his relationship with the world, since only this approach allows revealing the process of human development more completely and determining his formation as a person. The article substantiates a 3-layer unified whole in which the personality as a subject of activity reveals itself. The presented holistic model of the personality is relevant from the point of view of the organization of an individual and personal approach to the athlete by the coach.
