The purpose of the study was to study the influence of yoga on the emotional self-regulation of women. The study involved 28 women, at the average age of 37.4, with different experience in yoga. To assess the development of emotional self-regulation, the method «Emotional Intelligence» (Lyusin D. V.) was used. The results of the study revealed significant differences between the development of indicators of emotional intelligence, such as understanding emotions, emotion management and expression control, depending on the duration of yoga classes. Increasing the emotional self-regulation of people who are engaged in yoga and who are under the influence of yoga requires further research. The research may be related to the role of yoga classes in improving the quality of life of those engaged.","PeriodicalId":426710,"journal":{"name":"Current Issues of Sports Psychology and Pedagogy","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121074405","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study involved 76 athletes aged 18-23 years, competing in various sports teams. According to the results of the identification of personal and group coping resources in athletes, a cluster analysis was carried out. The purpose of clustering is to identify possible options for regulating individual and team coping strategies. A comparison of groups that united younger and older athletes showed that the success of overcoming stress at different stages of a sports career differs in determinants and the degree of their inclusion in the process of maintaining psychological stability. At the initial stage of their career, athletes randomly involve coping resources in the fight against stress, using mainly individual coping strategies. At the peak of a sports career, the relevance of the use of individual copings decreases and the importance of team copings increases, resources are used in a balanced and reasonable manner.","PeriodicalId":426710,"journal":{"name":"Current Issues of Sports Psychology and Pedagogy","volume":"77 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116383488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of the study was to identify differences regarding the significance of motives for physical culture activities and sports among college students in Russia and in China. The study involved 227 people, including 129 Chinese students from Lan Fan Secondary Vocational School (Lan Fan, China) and 98 Russian students from their Berezovsky Technical College \"Profi\" (Berezovsky, Sverdlovsk region). To study the motives of physical culture activities and sports, V. I. Tropnikov's methodology in Russian and Chinese languages was used (an adapted version of the questionnaire). The results of the study revealed both similarities and differences in the assessments of motives by students from different countries. The dominant motive of physical culture and sports among Chinese students is the motive of \"improving well-being and health\"; while for Russian students it is \"physical improvement\". The article substantiates the differences in the choice of motives of students from different countries, taking into account cultural differences. The research can contribute to the development of physical education and sports curricula that take into account the cultural characteristics and motives of students from different countries. Further study will be aimed at expanding the sample of students from different educational institutions and studying the dynamics of motivation to engage in physical culture and sports of students at different courses.","PeriodicalId":426710,"journal":{"name":"Current Issues of Sports Psychology and Pedagogy","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116633733","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the 2021 World Cup, the team took 3rd place, losing in the semifinals, because they could not cope with tension and psychological instability at a crucial moment. At the Winter Paralympic Games held in March 2022, the athletes of the Russian wheelchair curling team had to be emotionally stable, able to maintain high concentration of attention and an unmistakable figurative memory throughout the tournament. To achieve this goal, the coaching staff of the Russian national team proposed the idea of developing a program of psychological correction. This study is a continuation of the diagnosis of the characteristics of the psycho-emotional states of athletes, which was conducted in 2021. Based on the results of the diagnosis, a sports psychologist developed a correctional program. The program is based on breathing control techniques, visualization, ways to control muscle tone, as well as the formation of grounding skills to reduce anxiety levels before competitions. To mobilize the condition, athletes are offered exercises for upper breathing, and for calm and concentration – 4 stages of a single cycle of lower breathing. Athletes are also recommended to prevent muscle clamps by performing exercises for 3 phases \"strain – feel – relax\". In 2021, a pedagogical experiment lasting ten months was conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed methodology. The study involved 9 athletes – members of the main and extended squads of the Russian wheelchair curling team aged 28 to 49 years: 6 men and 3 women.","PeriodicalId":426710,"journal":{"name":"Current Issues of Sports Psychology and Pedagogy","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131571673","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The concept of patriotism is considered as patriotic consciousness, patriotic activity, patriotic relations and patriotic organization. The museum has a huge potential in this activity, the role of which has grown significantly at the present stage. The areas of museums work at the moment are so extensive that it allows them to be included in the educational process of forming the ideals of patriotism among modern students. A study is presented to determine the formation of a sense of patriotism among students of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sports and Youth Policy (IFCIMP) of the Ural Federal University, as well as the awareness of programs of patriotic education at the university and the development of game sports. An experimental study has shown that informing students about game sports promotes involvement in sports activities. The participation in training and competitive processes creates conditions for the formation of patriotism among students in game sports. The creation of a museum of game sports will be one of the innovative means of patriotism fostering.","PeriodicalId":426710,"journal":{"name":"Current Issues of Sports Psychology and Pedagogy","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116482743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
