Methods: questionnaire \"Style of self-regulation of behavior\", a questionnaire for diagnosing metaprocesses. Sample: male and female athletes aged 18-34 involved in various sports. Results: it has been established that the use of metacognitive, metaemotional and metavolitional processes has a positive effect on the implementation of the preparedness of athletes for competitions.
