The representatives of the business environment hope for an emphasis on the digitization of the fiscal administration, for a new perspective on business models. Romania's startups are lagging in adopting digital technologies, according to DESI 2020 report. The biggest gaps are in the digitalization of internal organizational processes. Businesses with the highest level of digitization and digitalization secure opportunities at twice the rate of the least digitized ones. We conducted a study to identify the implications of social platforms and digitization in the development of entrepreneurship among young people. The researched aspects were the motivations for using the Internet and social platforms, the impact of digitalization on collaborative platforms in Romania and the connection between the Romanian entrepreneurial ecosystem and digitalization.","PeriodicalId":426523,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132492707","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The current paper aims to illustrate what is at the basis of the fundamental change in the way clients have formed their new expectations and what is the approach taken by organizations to remain relevant in the new dynamic environment. Digitalization, considered to be the term that encompasses several concepts regarding the transition to the online business environment and the automation of work processes, will be the main pillar of reference in terms of how organizations are forced to transform. The purpose and importance of Digitalization has become a topic of interest for all organizations, regardless of the activity sector in which they operate. The impact of the pandemic on the business environment led to an assiduous need to adapt to the new conditions. Questions were raised regarding the future of humanity in a climate that tends to be based on digital solutions. The impact of advanced technology in the business environment is seen as resilience in a climate with complex threats on different levels. This study considers demonstrating the importance of resilience within organizations as the engine that makes change happen in crisis situations. Research in the field claims that companies can gain resilience by preparing with complete IT systems, to respond quickly and efficiently in situations of crisis, shock or instability. Even more, there are theories that claim that the state of normality, as perceived by organizations, is not one of peace and stability, but of continuous change and adaptation.","PeriodicalId":426523,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134394177","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The tourism management was confronted with the restriction of the activities carried out, the dismissal of the staff, the impossibility of paying the taxes, the stagnation of the planned events. Innovative solutions had to sprout in the minds of managers through new and thriving strategies. This paper explores the management strategies introduced by major hotel chains to revitalize and relaunch their business. The results show an involvement of managers to increase guest loyalty, to provide excellence in services, and to create memorable experiences for guests. Also, new concepts, such as workcation, staycation, revenge travel have taken shape in managerial tourism strategies.","PeriodicalId":426523,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133249277","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first step towards change is awareness of existing problems. In this paper, the problems that need to be resolved are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). In this regard, quantitative research has been conducted to determine to what extent students are familiar with the concepts related to these goals. The research shows the lack of addressing topics related to sustainable communities, responsible consumption and production or gender equality. However, there is openness and interest to study in-depth sustainable development. This is also evidenced by the choices that students are willing to make in future jobs. The main conclusions of this paper are related to the need to implement models of sustainable development within higher education institutions (HEI). F.R.) during the first World War in 1916. Regarding the methodology and the research perspective, the overall scientific approach has combined the theoretical perspective with the practical perspective, analyzing with interest the technicalmanagerial action adopted in a difficult period with many limitations. In this respect, if the measure taken is validated, a new research horizon opens up to a new, unconventional method of increasing the circulation capacity in the railway sector, which is related to strategic management and crisis. This action, identified by the author, although it was adopted more than 100 years ago, can still be considered topical and can be integrated into the strategic management and resilience capacity of the rail system in crisis conditions. Studying and understanding the past can show us our place on the evolutionary scale and what we can improve in the future.","PeriodicalId":426523,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121523252","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the international financial institutions leading backing them up, privatization, greenfield investments and mergers & acquisitions were strongly promoted as a tool to reduce the budgetary burden caused by state enterprise, bad private management, or other private and public sector inefficiencies, so that FDI inflows can contribute to the increase rate of GDP and also can have a positive impact on the exports flow. In order to see how well this purpose has been achieved by some countries, some economic indicators need to be addressed. Supply chains relate to the network of entities that are interdependent and that directly or indirectly serve the final consumer. Although the utilization of supply chains have been shown to increase efficiency and assist in cutting costs in the commercial sector, the complexity of logistics in the military environment cannot always be paralleled to those of the business environment. Furthermore, in the military, similarly to in the hospital environment, medical supplies must be available, whenever they are needed, to prevent the endangering of lives. While several studies have examined the outcomes of the management of medical supplies in hospitals and healthcare organizations worldwide, limited research has been published that addresses the management of medical supplies in the unique medical environment within the military. Alongside an outline of the challenges faced in managing medical supplies, the article presents some of the systems used for supply chain management in the military across the globe. Ensuring the procurement of sufficient medical supplies and their delivery to the point of consumption is critical in providing vital healthcare services for all men and women serving in the military.","PeriodicalId":426523,"journal":{"name":"PROCEEDINGS OF THE INTERNATIONAL MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE","volume":"51 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133718843","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
