From a methodological point of view, to carry out the research, case studies were used for two projects from Iceland and Romania, which provided the necessary inputs for the comparative analysis between two projects from two countries. The case studies and the comparative analysis showed that the gaps between the project in Romania and the one in Iceland appear in terms of the relationship between policies – strategies – programs and projects, the relationship with stakeholders, the reporting of progressThere are a number of project management components where, even if there are no gaps, the two projects have scores indicating a lower level of use of specific methods/techniques and practices. Bănacu","doi":"10.24818/imc/2022/02.10","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24818/imc/2022/02.10","url":null,"abstract":"Today, the world is on the eve of a major energy crisis, a situation that seems to be accelerating steps towards a revolution in identifying complementary energy sources to ensure continuity in all activities, including humanitarian ones. Starting from the relationship between disasters - humanitarian emergencies - complex humanitarian emergencies, the paper highlights the novelty of the concept of humanitarian energy and highlights the important role of energy in the management process of humanitarian activities. This paper defines humanitarian energy as the interface zone between humanitarian response and energy. Our method of documenting the topic is based on bibliometric analysis that involved extensive literature screening. The research put into evidence the results of recent studies revealing the links between energy and humanitarian clusters, and the recent research subjects related to humanitarian energy. The study's findings indicate that humanitarian energy is a new and emerging theme, approached from multiple perspectives and disciplinary areas, including economic one, that requires a broad level of knowledge, integrated analysis, and public-private management. The research results reveal that most of the studies related to this field are on renewable energy and energy access. Although security (protection) issues are recognized as a priority in the management of humanitarian problems, this topic has not received much attention given the risks that lack of access to energy generates in humanitarian settings. The paper focuses on the analysis of time series data between the previous global crisis (2009) and that caused by the COVID-19 pandemic (2020). The paper identifies the following economic vulnerabilities of the RM, which formed during the years of independence: pro-cyclical fiscal policy, reduced public revenues, consumption-based economic model, low investment in the economy, declining labor force, exchange rate instability in crisis situations. The paper also highlights the differences between the policies of the RM compared to neighboring European countries, especially in terms of indicators of their economic stability in crisis situations. The paper identifies the following policy areas for sustainable economic development: modernizing the structure of the economy, countercyclical fiscal policy, increasing public revenues, streamlining public services, increasing public investment, developing of private pension funds, implementing public policy in the field of financial education, accelerating growth and investment in the future. In this context, the question is \"what should national policies contain?\" in order to ensure a sustainable development of national economy. The experience of the new EU Member States was taken into account in formulating policy proposals. The main aim of the paper is to present the development perspectives of the Romanian economy and the agricultural machinery industry. Determining the external and internal context of the organization's operations required determining its relationship to the organization's environment, including the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in SWOT analysis and, positioning the organization in the competitive environment specific to the field in which it operates. Particular attention was paid to examining the development context of the Romanian economy and the strategic directions developed in the production and sale of agricultural machinery and equipment. In the stringent needs of today’s lives and future ones, governments and privately-held company managers have to prioritise, choosing between the transitions towards the old and the new, between opening coal mines and implementing renewable energy systems, between people and profit, between profit and planet, between planet and people. Thus, the current article explores sustainable management principles by looking at the delivery sector, one of the most affected by the increasing fuel price and technological advancement, in which traditional and GIG economy models coexist and challenge the people, planet and profit status quo. Navigating through the main theories in the field of sustainability from governmental, non-governmental, and environmental perspectives, this article clarifies the GIG economy principles, thriving to find a compiling business model for the delivery sector. This article explored, using the case study method, the extent to which the current and future procurement programs of the Romanian Army covered the broad range of logistic requirements generated by the actual economic and security context. Building on the large spectrum of logistics functional and related areas requirements, and also on the new strategic visions adopted this year by NATO and the EU, the article highlighted the fact that these strategic trends were in line with the sustainable development goals, on one hand, and also very demanding for the Romanian military logistics. The conducted study reveals a gap in the existing and planned procurement programs, which should be more logistics oriented, and also more focused on meeting the sustainability criteria determined by the context of sustainable development. In order to avoid unforeseen situations, it is necessary to improve safety, which is a reflection of risk management in the aviation industry, and at the same time, it is necessary to increase the capacity to identify problems before they become a significant problem. Currently, air accident investigations and aircraft safety inspections are now more effective, while improvements in manufacturing technology and better quality control of safer aircraft are now safer. The strategy of continuous improvement refers more precisely to the safety management in the aerospace field which is based on the continuous improvement of aircraft performance through the use of testing means through certain advanced technical systems.
