Antioxidants are needed, namely tamarind leaves to help glucose enter cells. This study used 30 wistar rats that were 8 weeks old and weighed 150-200 g. Rats were induced with STZ as much as 45 mg / kg, then Na as much as 110 mg / kg. In this study, rats were grouped into 5 groups namely, KN groups which were DMT2 rats without treatment, KP group who were DMT2 rats given acarbose drugs by 1.8 mg / KgBB / day and Group P1, P3, P3 were given leaf treatment tamarind with a dose of 28.56, and 112 mg / 200gr / day for 14 days. All data were collected and analyzed using ANOVA and LSD post hoc with p value <0.05. In fasting blood glucose, the mean of all groups of rats was 264.83 ± 1.47 and the mean of body weight of rats after STZ induction was 180 ± 3.84. After 7 days of treatment, the body weight of rats in the treatment of KP (184.17 ± 3.18), P1 (182.50 ± 6.15), P2 (182.17 ± 5.77), and P3 (189.67) ± 2.65) increased significantly, whereas in the KN group (173.67 ± 4.59) weight loss occurred in the DMT2 model rats. Giving extract of tamarind leaves in P3 is better than KP which is an acarbose drug. Provision of tamarind leaves for 7 days, in the treatment group P3 increased body weight of rats and treatments P1 and P2 increased body weight the same as the treatment group KP (acarbose).","PeriodicalId":424952,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS 2020)","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116039190","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Yoga and aromatherapy back massage can help alleviate physiological back pain during pregnancy. The research determines the effectiveness of combined methods of aromatherapy back massage and prenatal yoga in improving beta endorphin and alleviating back pain for pregnant women. Sixty healthy primigravida women without any complication are divided into 4 groups (n = 15 for each group), in the following arrangement: a control group which only participates in prenatal workout once a month and treatment groups which participate in prenatal workout once a week for 4 weeks, consisting of pregnant woman group attending prenatal yoga class and aromatherapy back massage, pregnant woman group attending only yoga class, and pregnant woman group attending only aromatherapy back massage. The level of beta endorphin in the blood plasma is measured after 4 treatment sessions. Back pain is measured using visual analogue scale (VAS). The difference between the scores of blood plasma and back pain following 4 treatment sessions in the four groups is determined using One-way Anova Post Hoc LSD Test. We have analysed 12 women from each group. The level of beta endorphin is significantly higher on each treatment group (p < 0,05). Back pain score significantly decreases in the observed group with p-value of 0,001. The combination of prenatal yoga and aromatherapy back massage can significantly reduce the intensity of back pain and increase the level of beta endorphin. This research discovers the direct impact resulting in reduced back pain with an increased level of beta endorphin in groups receiving combined treatment in the forms of prenatal yoga and aromatherapy back massage classes. A literature review was undertaken to identify a theoretical framework to inform a study of paediatric peripheral intravenous catheter (PIVC) utilization in hospitals in Indonesia. The literature search was undertaken in four databases: US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health (CINAHL), Embase, and Google Scholar using the predefined keywords. Further searches across reference lists were also conducted. All relevant articles were screened and analyzed for inclusion and exclusion criteria based on the research questions, aim and objectives. Among theoretical frameworks identified in the literature the Donabedian theoretical framework offered the most comprehensive model to assess the current state of paediatric peripheral intravenous catheter insertion and care practices in hospitals. The Donabedian framework provided a construct to investigate the interdependent components of structure, process, and outcomes (S-P-O) of PIVC insertion and management service in paediatric population. This framework also supported the use of multiple data collection methods to study the PIVC service. The Donabedian S-P-O model provides a useful framework to assess healthcare service in general and in paediatric PIVC in particular. The use of this framework enables the researcher to identify relevant indicators as well as to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each dimension of the healthcare services.","PeriodicalId":424952,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS 2020)","volume":"37 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121725217","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Hemolysis during blood storage is the most severe manifestation of erythrocyte storage and is an important parameter for assessing the quality of PRC [1], [2]. This study aims to measure the level of PRC hemolysis as an indicator of quality during processing and storage. This is an observational descriptive study using a comparative analytical approach (student t-test). The previous researches on PRC on the bloods collected inside the building revealed that the average increase in hemolysis occurred on the 0th day along with the gradual increase in the next processing even though it was still under the standard of below 0.8% at the end of storage. It was also noted that PRC hemolysis on mobile unit (MU) collection significantly increased on 14th day. The most significant increase in hemolysis occurred at PRC drawing of MU on 7th day from 0.3 to 0.5. Furthermore, the PRC hemolysis of the two groups continued to increase variably until the end of the storage period, particularly on day 35 although it remained below the level of 0.8%. The t-test results show a significant level of (p) 0.001, that is lower than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant score difference in the PRC hemolysis between the Blood Transfusion Unit blood sampling and mobile unit (MU) blood collection activities.","PeriodicalId":424952,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on Health and Medical Sciences (AHMS 2020)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127219947","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
