Research results have shown the impact relationship between big data and various industries, including the insurance industry. Big data has improved all aspects of the insurance process, from pricing and underwriting to claims management and customer service to ultimately more effective risk management. Based on practical and theoretical practices in this framework, the question arises whether big data has brought about development in the insurance industry. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to gain a better understanding of the impact of big data on all aspects of the insurance industry. The research findings showed that the quantity and quality of data collected and used by insurance companies directly impact the services produced and developed. Big data enables insurers to identify patterns, trends and behaviors, allowing them to develop customized products and services. Also, by collecting and utilizing quality big data, insurance companies can provide more efficient and effective services, improving customer satisfaction and increasing profitability. Although big data is a lucrative opportunity for the insurance industry, it is also a threat as companies that need the means to access big data, technologies and skills will see their competitiveness drop significantly in the future. On the other hand, intermediary platforms, particularly GAFTA (Google, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon) that control the entire data value chain, can seek a large percentage of profits by providing the value chain to insurers, or the purchase of these platforms for vulnerable insurance companies, allowing them to dominate the insurance market.","PeriodicalId":410560,"journal":{"name":"Business Ethics and Leadership","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132124966","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research aimed to examine the effect of fraud indicators in fraud pentagon theory against the detection of fraudulent financial reporting on manufacturing companies. Independent variables in this research were variable pressure proxy by financial stability, external pressure, and financial target, opportunity proxy by nature of the industry, rationalization proxy by total accrual, capability proxy by the change of directors, and arrogance proxy by ownership by management. The dependent variable was the fraudulent financial reporting proxy by fraud score. The sample of this research used 57 manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Effect in 2013-2015. It is found that the result of the determination coefficient test shows an adjusted R2 value of 0.068, it means that the ability of the independent variable in explaining the variants of the dependent variable is still limited, which is 6.8%. The ANOVA test, which shows the possibility of using the regression model to predict the Fraudulent Financial Report, serves as the methodological tool of the study. It is determined that pressure with proxies of financial stability (current), external pressure (Lev), and financial target (ROA), opportunity with the nature of industry (receivable) proxy, and arrogance with managerial ownership (OM) proxy do not affect fraudulent financial reporting. The result of this research showed that rationalization variables proxy by the total accrual ratio and capability proxy by the change of directors had an influence on the fraudulent financial reporting. While the pressure variable proxy by financial stability measured with the current ratio, external pressure measured with leverage ratio, financial target measured with ROA, opportunity variable proxy by nature of industry variable measured with the change in inventory ratio, and arrogance proxy by ownership by management had no influence on financial statement fraud. The main goal of this paper is to develop patterns for creating educational content to improve the learning process at universities despite the full-scale war, including flexibility. To achieve these, the author used bibliometric, trends and cluster analysis. As analytical tools, Google Trends and VosViewer were chosen. The investigation is divided into three parts: study patterns of online content in higher education (HE) based on a literature review, identify trends in HE, and examine online educational content in the context of the flexible learning process at universities. The investigation stage of key trends in the development of higher education in Ukraine is initial because it demonstrates up-to-date theoretical background worldwide, and particularly in Ukraine, especially publication after 2019. The main approaches to renovating the educational system included improving distance or blended learning as a modern study pattern. The key stakeholders are students and teachers. However, teachers transform into facilitators who prepare educational content and support learners in self-directed learning based on their inquiries. As for Ukraine, the tendency was intensified because students affected by full-scale war cannot study in the traditional (in-person) way. To find how trends in HE in Ukraine during key political changes were modified in Ukraine, the author used Google Trends to search inquiries of main consumers of educational services in Ukraine concerning higher education through the keywords “university” in three languages. The customizing periods showed the reactions of the young to critical political changes in Ukraine. In such a way, attitudes towards higher education during the beginning of the Orange Revolution, the Revolution of Dignity, the war in the east of Ukraine and the full-scale war were investigated. The significant changes were noticed after February 24, 2022, compared to November 30, 2013. There was an increasing popularity of inquiries based on universities abroad and learning as a tool to get employment. The most relevant inquiries in forming online content are “distance learning” and “дистанційна освіта”. Moreover, the tendency of increasing inquiries in the Ukrainian language compared with russian inquiries of approximately 10% was found. It was confirmed that trends could be used as a tool of formation patterns of educational content. Cognitive Economics, unlike other critical approaches to neoclassical rationality, is aware of this reality and moves the center of gravity of the theory of the mind of the economic actor from the aspects of conscious, explicit, intentional, and rational towards the tacit, sub-conscious, intuitive and emotional. Cognitive Economics, as empirical theory, par excellence, does not refuse to consider the contribution of the mind to an economic decision. The role of the psyche in many situations of choice is undeniable. It is not, however, the only cognitive reality responsible for economic choices. From this point of view, the concept of limited rationality, remaining within a vision of intentionality in cognitive activities, loses much of its explanatory capacity. One of the motives for economic action is limited rationality because there is not enough computational capacity for calculating the consciousness and the intentions of the human mind. Rationality is also limited through the influence of intuitive, affective, emotional, and silent factors, which all characterize what we have called the intuitive mind. The economic actor’s mind theory is based on cognitive duplicity, integrating the insensitive and the intuitive component depending on the situations and contexts of a decision. However, there are few situations in which we can say that the insensitive component takes the decision without influence of that intuitive. A small part of the mind emerges to the surface image of the economic actor, which characterizes some of the intuitive. But it rests on the larger submerged body of the mind, which is not visible but responsible for guiding the inferential paths of homo-economicus. The’ cognitive economy assumes that this duality of the human mind and the primacy of the intuitive component explains economic action.","PeriodicalId":410560,"journal":{"name":"Business Ethics and Leadership","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115187847","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
