Collective action for Public Goods will only be successful if all who partake in such actions can gain complimentary benefits that would be either more costly or impossible to achieve without the collective effort. Such complementary benefits are possible provided all stakeholders contributing to the public good of social peace and social cohesion cooperate with each other and preserve this and other public goods be they citizens, civil society organizations, all public authorities and all business firms. This concerted effort for a good cause can certainly be coined “ethics in action” – a notion which exhibits the moral foundation of the private and public choices inherent in sustainable development implementation of which interactions amongst stakeholders are no longer transactional, but rather aspiring toward greater good. Civil society organizations are key stakeholders producing, maintaining, and benefitting from Public Goods. They should strive for full inclusion, as there are many people who are either excluded or under-provided with respect to public goods. Public authorities, another key stakeholder group, need to cooperate with other stakeholders through collaborative frameworks and mechanisms for collective action that bind states and international organizations at a global scale. Another important stakeholder group, private and public enterprises need to operate within a level playing field globally, conduct business based on Responsible Business criteria and be welcomed to contribute to Public Goods creation in a sustainable and proactive manner without causing negative impacts due to their business activities. This paper presents and discusses how collective action can be achieved through concerted efforts by all members of society aiming to produce and maintain public goods essential for the sustained and equitable functioning of society. However, in the literature, the empirical characterization of value creation management in service companies is little explored. Therefore, the main objective of the research is to list the key factors for managing value co-creation in an industrial service company. To achieve this goal, an on-site interview was conducted with the leaders of a business-consulting firm whose business strategy is to cooperate with multiple players. The company object of research is located in southern Brazil, in the state of Santa Catarina. Once data collection was conducted, then content analysis was conducted. Based on the research findings, eleven key criteria that characterize cooperation between companies in the business consulting area were listed. It was found that value co-creation had several advantages for the company studied, however, lack of trust is one of the critical and risk factors for cooperation with other companies. Thus, it can be seen that leadership strategies are a key element for meeting potential business partners to co-create value as well as for managing cooperation between multiple companies. Given the findings, some practical implications can be highlighted. The study can serve as a basis for managers and leaders to make strategic business decisions, guide business leadership in driving plans to capture new business partners reliably and that together can generate mutual value. In addition, it is clear that the studied company’s system in relation to knowledge management is fragile since there is no structured system to control and disseminate knowledge internally and externally to the analyzed company. Thus, this research allows us to identify new insights to advance in studies related to the leadership of value co-creation among companies.\u0000Keywords: Leadership, Value co-creation; Business consulting; Multi-agent cooperation; Innovation; Industrial service management.

Across the globe, there is unending debate as to indoctrination of free press and reasonable restrictions. Bangladesh is not an exception to the tussle between these two notions. The free but fair press enables public debates and creates essential checks on government powers. The question of reasonable restrictions on press appears at the forefront of discussion as the press is also engaging in serving self-interest or value loaded vested interests vilifying its objectivity, impartiality, and accuracy. Though, the press and other media outlets of the country are partly free, the ongoing restrictions imposed by statutory laws and self-censorship have plunged the media into a stagnated ditch. However, journalists and media activists are gradually striving to overcome the hurdles of restrictions foreseeing a silver lining. On one hand, the country is globally lauded for its exponential progress in terms of economic, social and international goals and has emerged as an Asian tiger. On the other hand, the country is struggling to uphold the spirit of the free press in nourishing a healthy democracy amid good governance that tolerates diverse, dissent, pluralist views and constructive criticism.

The relevance of the study is to show the destructive impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on investment processes. According to the WHO and the UN, the global pandemic, unpreparedness of the Ukrainian health care system, and the lack of progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 3 calls into question the conclusions of the Voluntary National Review “Sustainable Development Goals Ukraine 2020”. The investment instruments against COVID-19 in 2020 are conceptualized. The private companies’ assistance in this fight is studied. The study defines that most assistance is charitable rather than investing. Given the systematic and integrated practices of socially responsible business support for the health sector in SER companies’ strategy or the implementation of public-private partnerships in this area, such support could be transformed into mutually beneficial investment projects and after overcoming the pandemic impact. The authors prove that impact-investing is a useful tool for building and restoring the economy through a new socially responsible state investment policy. The current state of public investment project implementation in the health care field is assessed. According to the results, it is necessary to improve transparency, investment monitoring of projects and executive discipline in their implementation. Lack of generally accepted standards of transparency, measurement and impact management, along with an unformed system of benchmarks minimizing reputational risks and reducing transaction costs in the market of impact-investing and responsible investment in general (considering data from surveys of the Global Network on impact-investing) are fundamental limitations which hinder its development, in particular in Ukraine. Recommendations are given to develop the impact-investing in the context of new public investment policy to overcome these limitations, regarding the best practices in promoting the impact-investing policy.\u0000\u0000Keywords: Impact-investing, Investment Policy, Investors, Sustainable Development Goals, Social Responsibility, State Investment Policy.

It has already made a substantial contribution to the economic prosperity of advanced countries. Its role in the economic development of less developed countries is of vital importance. The share of the population working in agriculture is declining as countries develop. While less than 5% of the population does in rich countries work in agriculture, more than two-thirds of the people in poor countries. It is predominantly the huge productivity increase that makes this reduction in labor possible. The aim of the study is to provide a comprehensive picture of the situation of agriculture in the European Union from 2010 to 2019, with a particular focus on agricultural income and labor force developments. The number of employed in agriculture has decreased globally (by almost -14%) and in the European Union (by nearly -19%). The added value of agriculture has grown at a similar rate worldwide (by almost +22%) and in the European Union (by almost +23%). Indicators of agricultural income showed indicator A an increase of 25.56%, indicator B 39.11% and index C 20.39% in 2017 compared to 2010. In 2019 the gross value added in agriculture was the most significant in Germany, Spain, France, and Italy. Together, the four countries accounted for 42% gross value added in agriculture of EU-28. Indicator A, B and C of agricultural income showed in 2019 the most significant positive change in Bulgaria, in Denmark and Romania. Employment in agriculture was the highest in Poland and Romania in 2019. Several reasons can explain the differences in the development of agricultural performance in each European Union country. These reasons can be grouped. On the one hand, the location varies from country to country. Due to their different locations, their climatic, natural and ecological conditions are different. Another important difference is the size of the states. On the other hand, the structure and organization of society are different. Thirdly, the economic situation and status of each country are different.\u0000\u0000Keywords: Agriculture, Labor, Income, Inequality, European Union.

The primary goal of this research is to convey Albanian citizens’ and taxpayers’ perspectives on tax evasion, avoidance, and compliance. Several studies are being conducted worldwide to assess the public’s perception of demographic factors influencing tax evasion and avoidance. The principal indicators used in this paper, such as the attitude toward tax evasion and tax avoidance, are based on individual taxpayer perceptions rather than real evidence. This issue is particularly acute in many developing and developed economies, including Albania. Tax evasion erodes the government’s ability to raise revenue impartially and cost-effectively. Tax evasion creates inequality among citizens/taxpayers and economic difficulties for the country. Because of the lower revenue generated by tax evasion, the state coffers cannot provide public services such as health, transportation, and justice that are tailored to the needs of taxpayers and the contributor’s rights. However, current research into the factors influencing tax evasion and avoidance in Albania is still limited. We analyzed data from a survey sent to 387 individual taxpayers in Albania to achieve our goals. We discovered relationships between socio-demographic factors and their impact on an individual’s ethical perception of tax avoidance and evasion using empirical analysis. For the statistical analyses in this paper, we used Fisher’s Exact Test on count matrices using R studio and JMP statistical software. Based on our empirical findings, we concluded that gender, marital status, level of education, and residential area all impact tax compliance and ethics. While there is a statistically significant relationship between employment status and influence on tax evasion and avoidance, insufficient evidence demonstrates a trend. No statistically substantial dependence was found for the age determinant. The study’s findings may be helpful to researchers, policymakers’ institutions, and practitioners.

A quantitative study, based on a survey, is conducted among 186 individuals, belonging to different Algerian enterprises, from different sectors. Only 57 responses were obtained, that 43 were complete and usable. Otherwise, we obtained a response rate of 23.12%. The results indicate that only three contingency factors (age, differentiation strategy and competition intensity) are found to be significantly associated with the degree of use of the balanced scorecard indicators. Thus, we conclude that the adoption of the balanced scorecard increases with the rivalry of firms in the markets, with the degree of diversity of their products/services and that older and more mature firm are more likely to use this tool. Despite this study’s limitations, the main findings have potential implications for future research, particularly for researchers wishing to test the diversity in the use of the balanced scorecard across different industries and to explore its advantages and disadvantages. Our model is limited by its exclusion of the effects of other important contingency factors, such as organisational culture, corporate social responsibility, industry, computerisation and others. However, limiting ourselves to a one country allows us to control for the effects of local management practices. We provide evidence of associations rather than drawing conclusions about causality. Another limitation is due to the low representativeness of the sample which may generate a risk of bias.

They mainly indicate the evolution of work perception, the deterioration of work relations, and a quest for meaning among employees. In this context, this research attempts to look closely into the relationship between an organisation and its employees through a qualitative case study. This paper will first present a literature review as thoroughly as possible about the evolution of the concept of organisational commitment from the 1960s up to now; the literature review will also encompass the main antecedents and outcomes of this concept on organisational performance. Then, qualitative research following the socio-economic approach to management will be conducted in the Algerian pharmaceutical industry to grasp the complexity of the concept. A series of 38 semi-guided interviews is conducted, starting with the CEO of the company and including each Division Director and Chief of Department. The results of the research allowed us to identify several pivotal ideas that are likely to hinder organisational commitment, including the size of the premises is no longer fitted to the size of the company, which deteriorates the work environment and impedes performance; lack of work organisation and information communication following the growth of the company such as the absence of a Human Resource Management and a Management control division; centralization of decision making and communication about company objectives which contributes to a blurred role distribution; HRM practices characterized by limited career evolution option and a flawed personnel appraisal process; and finally, organisational changes put the company at challenge because of resistance to change ERP, skills shortage, skills destruction, flawed training and dissonant communication.

In the 2019 study, “Women in the Workplace 2019”, McKinsey & Company found women to still lag in corporate America in areas of salary gaps, promotions due to the broken rung, glass ceilings, lack of training and development, among other gender and racial barriers. Workplace Fairness”, a broken rung is a missing step in the “corporate ladder”, which prevents women in entry-level roles from being promoted into management. The broken rung is the more significant barrier for Black women navigating the workplace. To successfully navigate the workplace and ascend into management roles, Black women saw the need to use perseverance strategies due to underrepresentation and the influence of race and traditional privileged gendered roles. The study’s outcome addresses the challenges, barriers, and perseverance strategies Black women used to ascend into management roles. Mentorship and sponsorship are critical for helping Black women to advance within the workplace. The research study may be significant to Black women managers and future leaders. In this context, health promotion programs are becoming increasingly important to ensure the quality of work and for reducing absenteeism. Although academic interest in the study of individual health in organizations is growing, there is still a need for research to fully understand its potential in the area of management development as well. Under this premise, this article summarizes the arguments and counter-arguments within the scientific discussion on health-promoting aspects in the context of management development. The purpose of this work is to systematically deepen the understanding of corporate health promotion by reviewing the relevance of health-related aspects in management training concepts. Given this evidence, this work contains a systematic literature review about management training programs and empirical contributions. The review took place between November 2020 and February 2021 by using different scientometric databases such as Econbiz, Scopus and Web of Science. Among 56 identified publications, 20 studies address such management training concepts in the context of health issues. The paper provides initial evidence of differing understandings of health promotion in management development and identifies difficulties in implementing and prioritizing health promotion in training programs on the management level. Even though health-promoting topics are becoming increasingly important, self-leadership aspects still play a subordinate role in development programs. The study proved that despite the economic importance of the individual health of employees and managers, health promotion is still seen as a self-reflective task. Practitioners are therefore invited to test the potential of health-promoting elements in management training and to implement them in organizational reality.
