Основное внимание уделено истории отдельных полков – стрелецких, солдатских, морских – как в период их активного формирования (в 1706–1711 гг.), так и в процессе сведения к штатной организации 1711 года, с последующими преобразованиями до времен Петра I.\u0000 As in the case of a strategically important region of the era of the Great Northern War of 1700–1721, the north-western regions of Russia and the «Baltic provinces» conquered from Sweden, the article examines the process of transforming the old infantry of the Russian army and integrating it into the new structures of the armed forces. В ней дается краткая характеристика источников и литературы, приводятся результаты работы. На основании полученных данных описываются изменения в численном составе пехоты и кавалерии и количестве полков, приводится методология расчета максимальной численности пехоты и кавалерии в конфликтах и кампаниях в период 1700-1914 г. Во-второй части статьи раскрывается практическая сторона применения таблиц. На основании данных Северной Войны 1700-1721 гг., Семилетней войны 1756-1763 гг. и Итальянского и Швейцарского походов Суворова о численности войск выдвигается гипотеза о необходимых поправках, которые нужно иметь в виду, изучая военную историю XVIII века.\u0000 The article presents theoretical and methodological framework as well as some practical aspects for the “The Great Game” database. The database concerns the regiment of the Russian Imperial Army in 1700-1914 and provides a list of the regiments, a brief description of sources and literature, changes in military establishment of infantry and cavalry regiments and hypothesises a methodology for calculating a maximum strength of armies during the conflicts of 1700-1914 period. The second part of the article is dedicated to the practical aspects of the database. Using the data form the Great Northern War, the Seven Years War and Suvorov’s Italian and Swiss campaign the aforementioned methodology is put to test. Приведены описания уникальных баз данных по дислокации британской армии, её участия в конфликтах и кампаниях, изменениях в штатном составе, а также изложены основные принципы составления и работы с ними. Созданы графики расширения и сокращения британской армии, изменения в количестве полков, батальонов, штатной численности, а также даны объяснения подобным изменениям, с указанием литературы для дальнейшего изучения. Также намечены основные направления развития и поддержки имеющихся баз данных, указаны сферы для дальнейшего изучения проблем военной истории и истории военной машины как таковой.\u0000 The article analyses regimental histories of the English (British from 1707) army and highlights their main features depending on the historical period. It contains descriptions of unique databases concerning the British army: deployments, conflicts participation, changes of establishment, the general principles of compiling and working with them. Figures for expansion and reduction in number of British infantry and cavalry regiments have been created, accompanied with short explanations and literature for further reading. Данная база включает в себя сводные таблицы по отдельным полкам, их численности, местам расквартирования и участия в военных конфликтах на протяжении указанного выше временного периода. В таблицах указано общепринятое в данном контексте название старопрусских полков на момент их расформирования в 1806 г., а для новопрусских полков - на начало 1914 г. Кроме того, в отдельную таблицу выведена штатная численность полков, которая в ряде случаев военной истории Пруссии была близка к фактической. Например, как это было в 1740 г. на начало Первой Силезской войны, когда Фридрих Вильгельм I оставил своему сыну блестяще экипированную и реформированную армию или в 1756 г. в момент вторжения армии Фридриха Великого в Саксонию.\u0000 The article describes the database of Prussian regiments from 1660 to 1914, formed as part of the Runivers project on military history. This database includes summary tables on individual regiments, their numbers, places of quartering and participation in military conflicts during the above-mentioned time period. Names of the Old Prussian units are indicated in tables, with theregiments generally accepted in this context at the time of their disbandment in 1806, and the New Prussian regiments — at the beginning of 1914. In addition, a separate table shows the established strength of regiments, which in some cases in the military history of Prussia was close to the actual. Those connections brought new ideas, stimulated new approaches, new sources were available for further research on the History of Northern Euroaisa in the 20th century. В 1918–1919 гг. он занимал пост министра финансов в ряде «омских» правительств, будучи публичной персоной, активно участвовал в интригах власти. Не оставив воспоминаний о своей жизни, И.А. Михайлов стал ключевым фигурантом мемуаров антисоветских общественных и политических деятелей. Цель работы – проанализировать противоречивые оценки И.А. Михайлова за период его деятельности в белом Омске. Основой для подготовки работы выступили наиболее содержательные опубликованные эго-документы, авторами которых стали те, кто близко знал И.А. Михайлова, работал с ним. Благодаря таким обстоятельствам, эти люди оставили о сером кардинале белого Омска весьма колоритные, подробные и подчас уникальные мнения. Дана связь вопроса, рассматриваемого в статье, с общей историографией проблемы. Методологической основой исследования стали антропологический подход, историко-биографический и сравнительно-исторический методы. Эта теоретическая совокупность позволила, соотнося свидетельства современников, выделить противоречивые субъективные характеристики личности И.А. Михайлова, восполнив историко-психологический портрет данного деятеля. По итогам проведенного анализа эго-документов, авторы делают вывод о том, что в среде высокопоставленных деятелей белой Сибири, даже среди соратников И.А. Михайлова сложилось общее, тяготеющее к негативу, его восприятие. При этом главные параметры оценок современников сводятся к характеристикам непосредственно личности Ивана Адриановича или его политической и профессиональной деятельности.\u0000 The study is dedicated to Ivan Adrianovich Mikhailov (1891–1946), a prominent anti-Bolshevik political figure in Eastern Russia during the Civil War. In 1918–1919 he served as Minister of Finance in a number of «Omsk» governments. Being a public person, he actively participated in the intrigues of the authorities. Leaving no memoires of his own, I.A. Mikhailov became a key figure in memoirs of anti-Soviet public and political figures. The purpose of this work is to analyze the contradictory assessments of I.A. Mikhailov for the period of his activity in white Omsk. The basis for the preparation of the work were the published ego-documents, the authors of which were those who knew I.A. Mikhailov closely and worked with him. Due to such circumstances, these people left very colorful, detailed and sometimes unique opinions about the grey cardinal of the white Omsk. General historiography of the problem is given. The methodological basis of the study used the anthropological approach, historical-biographical and comparative-historical methods. This combination of theoretical approaches made it possible, to highlight the contradictory subjective characteristics of the personality of I.A. Mikhailov, completing the historical and psychological portrait of this figure. Мемуары дважды и лишь фрагментарно использовались в историографии, однако, комплексного осмысления их до настоящего момента не последовало. Цель данной публикации – ввести в оборот указанный источник в полном объеме, указав на его содержательные возможности, а также аргументированно отметив откровенные недостатки, сопряженные со значительным (умышленным или непреднамеренным) искажением фактов мемуаристом. Теоретической основой исследования выступили принцип системности, антропологический подход и сравнительно-исторический метод. Данная совокупность позволила связать содержательные особенности источника с обстановкой его появления и личностью Н.И. Рогозина, отметившегося как авантюрист и бытовой аферист и находившегося в 1924 г. под гласным надзором органов ОГПУ, а также выявить истинные и искаженные мемуаристом трактовки событий. Работа адресована исследователям эго-документов, Гражданской войны на Юге России, социальной адаптации казачества и офицерства в раннем советском обществе.\u0000 The reader is presented with an archeographic study devoted to the analytical understanding of the memoirs of an ordinary participant in the Civil War in the Kuban, Cossack officer Nikolai Iosifovich Rogozin, written in 1924 in Omsk. The memoirs have been used twice and only fragmentarily in historiography, however, their comprehensive understanding has not yet followed. The purpose of this publication is to introduce the indicated source into circulation in full, pointing out its content possibilities, as well as reasonably pointing out frank shortcomings associated with a significant (intentional or unintentional) distortion of facts by the memoirist. The theoretical basis of the study was the principle of consistency, anthropological approach and comparative historical method. This combination made it possible to connect the content features of the source with the situation of its appearance and the personality of N.I. Rogozin, who was noted as an adventurer and everyday swindler and was under the overt supervision of the OGPU in 1924, as well as to identify true and distorted interpretations of events by the memoirist. Анализ сделан на примере научных кадров Первого Ленинградского медицинского института. Основной целью данной статьи является анализ путей женской эмансипации после Великой октябрьской революции 1917 г. и сравнение их академической карьеры с карьерами коллег-мужчин. Также в данном исследовании анализируется гендерная дискриминация в отношении женщин 1-го ЛМИ. Так как медицина была одной из первых научных областей, куда женщины смогли получить доступ, а 1-й ЛМИ стал первым официальным женским высшим учреждением в России, исследование дает возможность посмотреть на уникальный опыт построения женщинами академических карьер. Основными источниками стали справочники научных сотрудников, биографический словарь, статьи, исследующие биографии отдельных личностей, и не вводимый ранее источник – студенческие газеты 1-го ЛМИ. Методология анализа заключает в себе комбинацию статистического и просопографических методов и дискурс-анализ. По результатам исследования были сделаны выводы, что, несмотря на установление гендерного равенства в 1918 г., очень не многие женщины смогли успешно продвинуться по карьерной лестнице. Построение карьеры давалось женщинам сложнее, чем мужчинам. К тому же, как до, так и после революции, женщины подвергались гендерной дискриминации внутри института. Факт того, что женщины строили свою карьеру в изначально женском институте, не способствовал их более успешному карьерному росту.\u0000 This paper analyzes women, who worked in higher medical institutions in the 1920s. The analysis was based on data about personnel of the First Leningrad Medical Institute. The main purpose of this article is to analyze the paths of female emancipation after the Great October Revolution of 1917 and to compare their academic careers with those of their male colleagues. This study identifies gender discrimination against women in the First Leningrad Medical Institute. Medicine was one of the first scientific field to which women were able to gain access, and First Leningrad Medical Institute, was the first official institution giving women higher education in Russia. Therefore the study provides an opportunity to look at the unique experiences of women-pioneers building their academic careers in the Institute. The main sources were researcher directories, a biographical dictionary, articles, and a new source that was not used for such analysis before –the Institute’s student newspapers. The methodology of the analysis included a combination of statistical and prosopographic methods and, also, discourse analysis. The results of the study led to the conclusion that despite the establishment of gender equality by Bolsheviks, very few women were able to successfully advance in their careers. It wasmore difficult to build a career for women than for men.
