Online learning practices have gained much attention recently not only as a result of the developments in network technologies, but also due to the Covid-19 pandemic. While there have been many up-to-date studies examining the students’ perception of online learning, there remains a need to examine it in a context of higher education students whose internet access in region is still limited. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to uncover the students’ perception of online learning through quantitative research design. There were 226 students who participated in this study and responded to a five-Likert scale questions on their perceptions of online learning. Having computed and analyzed statistically the responses, the findings of this study reveal various perceptions of undergraduate students of online learning. In light of the finding of the present study, some pedagogical implications are discussed.","PeriodicalId":406252,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Education, Humanities, Health and Agriculture, ICEHHA 2021, 3-4 June 2021, Ruteng, Flores, Indonesia","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123667045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indonesia has three special region and one capital city, namely Aceh, Yogyakarta, Papua, and Jakarta. Each special region has its unique and privileges. The enactment of Law Number 21 the year of 2001 has proven that the state acknowledged the existence of Papua as special region. This regulation gives Papua privileged in special autonomy to manage its region including in the process and mechanism of General Election, as Indonesia Constitution 1945 stipulated the freedom of speech, gather, and protect the rights of every citizen to fight for their rights communally to develop the society and state. The problem is, there was a case in 2019 where a Local Political Party in Papua was rejected to join the General Election due to the lack of Local Regulation specifically regulating the formation of Local Parties in Papua. Meanwhile, in the 2019 General Election, Aceh (as another Special Region) has one Local Political Party that participated the election. It seems that there is an inequal position amongst special region. This paper aims to analyze the legal reasoning and urgency of the local parties’ formation in Papua because it has the privileges to do so. The research method of this paper uses statute and conceptual approach.","PeriodicalId":406252,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Education, Humanities, Health and Agriculture, ICEHHA 2021, 3-4 June 2021, Ruteng, Flores, Indonesia","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130716404","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The existing pharmacological therapy of obesity often causes side effects. Therefore, this study aimed to explore active compounds derived from star fruits and Toddallia acuelata leaves extracts for development of obesity therapy. From phytochemical screening test, it was found that star fruits extract (SFE) contained alkaloids, phenolics, and flavonoids while T. acuelata leaves extract (TLE) contained alkaloids, phenolics, saponins, and steroids. Based on the in-silico study confirmed with a chemical analysis using the Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS) technique, SFE contained Epicathecine Gallate (tannin derivative). Furthermore, the highest antioxidant activity was detected in pure TLE (58.5%) followed by combination of 25: 75% SFE and TLE (46.81%). In conclusion, TLE and combination of 25:75% star fruits and T. acuelata extracts become a potential obesity therapy. Further research is required for the investigation of pharmacological properties of those extracts.","PeriodicalId":406252,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Education, Humanities, Health and Agriculture, ICEHHA 2021, 3-4 June 2021, Ruteng, Flores, Indonesia","volume":"135 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133631934","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Readiness to learn online is a determining factor for student success in learning, especially in the digital era. This study aims to analyze online learning readiness among students at a state university in Jakarta, Indonesia. This study involved 245 college students who were randomly selected. Measurement of online learning readiness data uses the Student Online Learning Readiness or SOLR (Yu & Richardson, 2015). SOLR instruments consist of four dimensions: technical competence, social competence with the instructor, social competence with classmates, and communication competence. This instrument consists of 20 statement items. The data that has been collected is processed and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that students' online learning readiness was quite a good category. The implications of this study will be discussed.","PeriodicalId":406252,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Education, Humanities, Health and Agriculture, ICEHHA 2021, 3-4 June 2021, Ruteng, Flores, Indonesia","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130242983","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The calculation of plane geometry building areas in elementary school still relies on students' ability to remember and memorize formulas. In line with that, the use of innovative techniques such as SGGS-LINGKES has not been explored much. To fill this gap, we designed mathematics learning using SGGS-LINGKES techniques and presented them systematically. In order to achieve this goal, the literature research method has been applied for six months in the academic year 2020/2021. As a result of our research, we present detailed learning stages based on S-LINGKES, G-LINGKES, and GS-LINGKES features. This stage provides educators with insight into the media S-LINGKES, G-LINGKES, and GS-LINGKES as an alternative method of teaching and learning on broad topic plane geometry. However, the summary of the effectiveness of the use of these media is not clear. Therefore, an experimental study is needed on the effect of using S-LINGKES, G-LINGKES, and GS-LINGKES media in the future.","PeriodicalId":406252,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Education, Humanities, Health and Agriculture, ICEHHA 2021, 3-4 June 2021, Ruteng, Flores, Indonesia","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121803750","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

That is why every citizen of the Republic of Indonesia should understand the law. This research will examine the extent of dissemination of information about legal programs in Ministries/ State Institutions, examine the public acceptance of priority programs related to law and how public responses to these programs. Besides, also how to increase legal awareness in the community. The research method used is a mixedmethod between qualitative normative legal research and quantitative research methods. This research was also conducted through a survey by distributing questionnaires to the public in 25 provinces. The results obtained from this research are. First, only 34.04% of 47 Ministries/State Institutions disseminate information on priority programs related to law. Only 10.64% percent of 47 Ministries/State Institutions include priority programs related to law in their top 10 most essential dissemination programs. Second, the information acceptance related to legal certainty and the bureaucratic reform program is 63.13 (this is in the moderate category). While the level of importance for information on legal certainty and bureaucratic reform is 32.07 (which is in the terrible category), so that in this case, the public views the legal program as not a high priority. Third, the law can be applied responsive if it is formed bottom-up from societies. Society itself still diverse in giving meaning, understanding, and perceiving law, so it gives different influences on society's respect and obedience to the law. Legal counseling is needed to enhance community members' image and form public legal awareness.","PeriodicalId":406252,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Education, Humanities, Health and Agriculture, ICEHHA 2021, 3-4 June 2021, Ruteng, Flores, Indonesia","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114894095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is a way of learning where a problem as the starting point for learning. This study synthesizes and analyzes STEAM PBL in order to build the best model for students. The study developed a model by combining PBL with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Education). STEAM PBL has one of the elements is the animation process of the results of STEM learning. Many learning models in previous research only on Problem Based Learning, or only on STEM, but they are not a combination of PBL and STEAM. The study was conducted in three stages: introduction, development and implementation. STEAM development model in this study was developed by two approaches development unit STEAM learning PBL working with teachers who have run both the STEM learning embedded in a subject or across subjects. STEAM pilot study conducted PBL in some high schools were selected purposively and involves students and teachers. The test aims to implement the model STEAM PBL. Test results show that schools are not experiencing difficulties in implementing PBL STEAM coherently (preparation, process, products, publications, products, processes). STEAM implementation of PBL also rated very good support, develop and practice communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking of students. In response to indicators of Understanding between the components, Preparation, Process, Product, and Ecosystem STEAM PBL, and implementation and student responses are related to one another. Cross-tabulation tables show that the higher the score on a component the higher the score on other components, for example, the higher the score on Understanding the higher the score on Preparation.","PeriodicalId":406252,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 1st International Conference on Education, Humanities, Health and Agriculture, ICEHHA 2021, 3-4 June 2021, Ruteng, Flores, Indonesia","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132464183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
