In order to maintain the popularity of traditional art in Indonesia, it is necessary that artists, teachers, and society understand it deeply. Every fine arts artist, teacher, and community must have a sense of nationalism towards traditional art in order to be able to maintain and become a stronghold of traditional art itself. This study aims to rediscover the values of traditional culture that are spread in several regions in Indonesia with the hope that it can be absorbed into modern art so that the value of traditional art is not completely eroded. This research uses Spradley's qualitative research method or ethnographic qualitative research with the aim of systematically describing deeper cultural characteristics. This research produces a description of the characteristics of traditional culture contained in several traditional arts and crafts spread across Indonesia, each region has cultural characteristics that are different from other regions which are influenced by several diverse factors. The characteristics of each artistic value are maintained and absorbed into modern art for maintained and taught in the world of education so that art saviors are born who are able to transform traditional arts into modern artistic values. As art saviors, artists need awareness of a sense of \"nationalism\" in each of them which is obtained through an understanding of these traditional arts.Keywords: high art, education, culture, nationalism. AbstrakKesenian tradisional yang memiliki nilai seni tinggi harus selalu dilestarikan dari kepunahan. Untuk mempertahankan popularitas seni tradisional di Indonesia, diperlukan seniman, guru, dan masyarakat yang memahaminya secara mendalam. Setiap seniman seni rupa, guru dan masyarakat harus memiliki rasa nasionalisme terhadap seni tradisional agar mampu menjaga dan menjadi benteng kesenian tradisional itu sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan kembali nilai nilai kebudayaan tradisional yang tersebar di dibeberapa daerah di Indonesia dengan harapan dapat dilakukan penyerapan kedalam seni modern agar nilai dari kesenian tradisional tidak terkikis sepenuhnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif Spradley atau penelitian kualitatif  etnografi dengan tujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik kultural lebih mendalam secara sistematis. Penelitian ini menghasilkan deskripsi karakteristik kebudayaan tardisional yang terkandung dari beberapa kerajinan seni tradisional yang tersebar di wilayah Indonesia, setiap daerah memiliki karakterstik kebudayaan yang berbeda dari daerah lain yang dipengaruhi oleh beberapa factor yang beragam, Karakteristik dari setiap nilai kesenian dipertahankan dan diserap kedalam kesenian modern untuk dipertahankan dan diajarkan dalam dunia Pendidikan agar terlahir penyelamat kesenian yang mampu melakukan transformasi seni tradisional menjadi nilai seni modern. Fashion creations can be inspired by various things, such as Kalasiris from fantasy movies. This study aims to engineer the Kalasiris used by the character Kah3munrah in the film Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian into a fashion creation suitable for a fantasy costume party. The method used in making fashion creations is the Double Diamond method. This method has five stages: find, define, develop, and deliver. The discovery stage begins with exploring sources of ideas through watching films and making mood boards. Priorities and target markets are determined through a defined process. In the development process, designs will be created and modified according to fantasy costume party events. Fashion creations are completed after receiving input from experts in the delivery process. The results of this study are fashion creations product that have been modified from Kahmunrah's Kalasiris. The results showed that Kalasiris can be used for fantasy costume parties by modifying some parts of Kalasiris while maintaining its characteristics.Keywords: kalasiris, fashion creations, night, museum. AbstrakBusana kreasi merupakan busana yang dibuat sebagai hasil daya cipta atau inspirasi seseorang dari bahan-bahan yang tidak lazim digunakan. Pembuatan busana kreasi dapat terinspirasi dari berbagai hal, termasuk busana Kalasiris yang ada pada film fantasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merekayasa Kalasiris yang digunakan oleh tokoh Kahmunrah dalam Film Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, menjadi busana kreasi yang sesuai dengan kesempatan pesta kostum. Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan busana kreasi adalah metode Double Diamond. Metode ini memiliki lima tahapan, yaitu: discover, define, develop, dan deliver. Tahap discover dimulai dengan penggalian sumber ide melalui pengamatan film dan pembuatan moodboard. Prioritas dan target market ditentukan melalui tahap define. Pada tahap ketiga atau develop, desain kemudian dibuat, dikembangkan, dan dimodifikasi sesuai dengan kesempatan pesta kostum fantasi. Busana kreasi diselesaikan setelah mendapat masukan dari ahli pada tahap deliver. Karya yang dihasilkan berupa produk busana kreasi yang telah dimodifikasi dari Kalasiris milik Kahmunrah. In delivering this material, a more interesting and practical learning media update is needed when used which can improve student learning outcomes and this media is assumed to minimize problems in batik courses. This research aims to develop a video tutorial learning media suitable for use in batik courses, especially batik tulis. Research and Development (R&D) is a type of research. Four D (4D) is the development model used in this study. which consists of 4 stages, namely define, design, develop and disseminate. This study used primary data, namely an assessment sheet in the form of a validity and practicality test questionnaire.In this study, it used instruments in the form of questionnaires in the form of assessment sheets. Based on the results of the validity of media experts and video material experts, this written batik technique tutorial obtained a score of 91.55% which is categorized as very valid. As for practicality, it obtained a score of 87.60% for lecturers who teach courses, 97% for small groups, and 91% for large groups, where the practicality test results are included in the very practical category. Based on the results of the validity and practicality test, it can be concluded that the video media tutorial of this batik writing technique is suitable for use as a learning medium.Keywords: development, learning video, written batik. AbstrakBatik adalah sebuah mata kuliah yang mengajarkan mengenai teori dan praktek pada bidang batik. Dalam menyampaikan materi ini dibutuhkan sebuah pembaharuan media pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan praktis saat digunakan yang mana dapat meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran mahasiswa serta media ini diasumsikan bisa meminimalisir permasalahan yang ada pada mata kuliah batik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran video tutorial layak untuk digunakan pada mata kuliah batik khususnya batik tulis. Research and Development (R&D) atau penelitian dan pengembangan merupakan jenis dari penelitian ini. Four D (4D) adalah Model pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini. yang mana terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu define (pendefinisian), design (perencanaan), develop (pengembangan) dan disseminate (penyebaran). Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer, yaitu lembar penilaian berupa angket uji validitas dan praktikalitas. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan intrumen berupa angket dalam bentuk lembar penilaian. Berdasarkan hasil validitas ahli media dan ahli materi video tutorial teknik batik tulis ini memperoleh skor 91,55 % yang dikategorikan sangat valid. Sedangkan untuk praktikalitas  memperoleh skor 87,60 % untuk dosen pengampu mata kuliah, 97 % untuk kelompok kecil, dan 91 % untuk kelompok besar, yang mana hasil uji praktikalitas tersebut termasuk kedalam kategori sangat praktis. The placement of language and images pays little consideration to compositional theory, and the outcomes of the poster design efforts are still inadequate. While making billboards and posters is a subject in Class VI SD Cultural Arts and Crafts, additional research is required to delve deeper into it and find out how the quality of student poster work currently is. This study aims to describe the ability to design posters with the Art and Culture theme of NTB for elementary school teacher candidates. This research used a descriptive qualitative method and the data collection is done by using observation and documentation. The research sample was poster works with the theme of NTB Cultural Arts for Semester I and II students of the PGSD UNRAM Study Program of 2022. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, which was based on a variety of NTB Cultural Arts, such as decoration, traditional music, traditional food, pottery, and traditional dances. Data analysis uses theory of art/design composition, in the form of art/design principles. The results showed that the ability to design posters for Art and Culture of NTB was quite good, but there were several items that still require improvement, such as the accuracy of the shapes to make pictures and letters, the arrangement of pictures and letters, and the accuracy of technique to convey the message.Keywords: ability, posters, cultural arts, NTB. AbstrakPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang maksimalnya karya poster mahasiswa calon guru sekolah dasar. Penataan tulisan dan gambar kurang memperhatikan teori komposisi dan hasil karya merancang poster kurang memuaskan. Sementara materi Seni Budaya dan Prakarya di kelas VI SD adalah membuat reklame/poster.   Untuk lebih mendalaminya maka diperlukan penelitian  agar terungkap dengan jelas seperti apa kualitas karya poster mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan mendesain poster bertema Seni Budaya NTB pada mahasiswa calon guru sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh karya poster bertema Seni Budaya NTB pada mahasiswa  Semester III Prodi PGSD UNRAM Tahun 2022. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling yaitu berdasarkan ragam Seni Budaya NTB, yaitu ragam hias, musik tradisional, makanan tradisional, gerabah, dan tarian tradisional. Analisis data menggunakan teori komposisi seni rupa/desain, berupa prinsip-prinsip seni rupa/desain. The advancement of this technology can undoubtedly make it easier for consumers to find information quickly. In order to give consumers access to knowledge regarding rescue mitigation and preparation in the event of an earthquake and tsunami natural disaster anytime, anyplace, this technology is utilized to deliver earthquake and tsunami natural disaster mitigation infographics in the UNP region. The infographic about earthquake and tsunami natural disaster mitigation in the Padang UNP area uses a QR code to provide information on understanding of earthquake and tsunami natural disaster mitigation. The design process utilized is the 4D method (define, design, develop, and distribute). Perkembangan teknologi ini tentu dapat memberikan kemudahan bagi user dalam memperoleh informasi dalam waktu yang singkat. Teknologi tersebut dimanfaatkan dalam penyampaian infografis mitigasi bencana alam gempa dan tsunami kawasan UNP sehingga user dapat mengakses informasi pengetahuan mengenai mitigasi penyelamatan dan persiapan apabila terjadi bencana alam gempa dan tsunami kapan saja dan dimana saja. The lack of use of glass as a creative medium causes a lack of innovation in renewing pre-existing themes. This is what motivated the author to create this traditional glass painting by displaying a new theme in order to maintain the existence of glass painting in the world of fine art. The technique used in the creation of this glass painting is the reverse technique or reverse painting technique which is a traditional glass painting technique. The coffee shop theme was chosen to renew the theme of the results of traditional glass painting that had previously existed, which only featured the theme of wayang. The method for creating this work has gone through the exploration or data collection stage, the planning stage is creating design sketches obtained through the exploration stage, and the embodiment stage is the process of painting on glass. The results of the work obtained in this creation amounted to 6 works on clear glass sheets with a size of 40 x 50 cm, with the following titles: (1) Coffee Beans, (2) Milk Coffee Enthusiasts, (3) Roseta in Latte Art, (4) Kalita Charm, (5) The Coffee Connoisseur Woman, (6) StyleMocktail.Keywords:  glass painting, theme, reverse technique. AbstrakSeni lukis kaca merupakan seni tradisional yang sudah lama ada. Minimnya penggunaan kaca sebagai media berkarya menyebabkan kurangnya inovasi dalam pembaharuan tema-tema yang sudah ada sebelumnya. Hal tersebutlah yang melatarbelakangi penulis untuk membuat seni lukis kaca tradisional ini dengan menampilkan tema baru guna menjaga keeksistensian seni lukis kaca dalam dunia seni rupa. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penciptaan karya seni lukis kaca ini adalah teknik reverse atau teknik melukis terbalik yang merupakan teknik melukis kaca tradisional. Tema coffee shop dipilih guna memperbaharui tema pada hasil seni lukis kaca tradisional yang sudah pernah ada sebelumnya yang hanya menampilkan tema tentang pewayangan saja. Metode pada penciptaan karya ini telah melalui tahap eksplorasi atau pengumpulan data, tahap perencanaan adalah menciptakan sketsa desain yang didapatkan melalui tahap eksplorasi, dan tahap perwujudan yaitu proses melukis di atas kaca. Apart from work and study, entertainment is also presented on the monitor screen, from films to video games. Many content provider companies are competing to produce and sell their content. Like Netflix, a company that focuses on digital streaming media service providers, has become one of the best-selling digital content provider companies today. On the basis of internet channels, it is clear that it is very profitable for Netflix to sell its services and products which can be accessed by everyone in this hemisphere as long as they use internet access. In a film there is often a message conveyed implicitly. Indonesian film with the title \"Selesai\", 82 minutes in total duration and a husband and wife who have problems in their relationship. “Selesai” will be released in 2021. This research examines the relationship between camera point of view in influencing the moral communicated by a film and how cinematography is used as visual rhetoric. The study was conducted qualitatively with a film semiotic analysis approach. The \"Done\" film data is grouped into 4 structures, namely Visual Structure, Verbal Structure (Character, Language, Time, Setting), Narrative Structure and Audio Structure. Diachronically examined by using the views of the signifier and the signified (Signifier and Signified). Like any other research, this research uncovers facts from the film “Selesai” both stated and implied, both good and bad meanings. There are 3 points that lead to the conclusion of this study, namely 1) Infidelity is a Familiar Thing in Indonesia, 2) The Percentage of Mental Disorders in Indonesia is Quite High, 3) The Problem of the Covid-19 Pandemic Has an Impact on Home Harmony.Keywords: done, semiotics, pandemic, family. AbstrakSaat pandemi seperti ini, penduduk Indonesia lebih banyak beraktivitas di dalam rumah. Selain bekerja dan belajar, hiburan pun banyak tersaji melalui layar monitor dari Film hingga Video Game. Banyak perusahaan penyedia konten yang berlomba-lomba untuk menghasilkan dan menjual konten-konten mereka.Seperti Netflix, perusahaan yang fokus pada penyedia layanan media streaming digital, menjadi salah 1 perusahaan penyedia konten digital terlaris saat ini. Dengan basis jalur internet, jelas sangat menguntungkan Netflix untuk menjual jasa maupun produknya yang dapat diakses oleh setiap orang di belahan bumi ini selama memakai akses internet. The type of motif used is a transformation from the original form of a peacock. For embroidered products, the selection of color combinations in Pila Kebaya uses a combination of many colors. The purpose of this research is to describe the transformation of peacock motifs and thread color combinations used in peacock motifs for embroidery products in the Pila Kebaya embroidery business. This research method uses qualitative, where the type of data is in the form of primary and secondary data. The informants in this study were 1 owner, 10 craftsmen, and 1 consumer in the Pila Kebaya embroidery business. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used an interactive model which included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are the transformation of the peacock motif in Pila Kebaya which is the result of the stylization of various models or original peacock patterns, used as motifs and thread color combinations used are analogous color combinations, complementary color combinations, and monochromatic color combinations. The color combination is a bright color that matches the function of the product.Keywords: embroidery, motif, transformation, color. AbstrakSetiap usaha bordir memiliki ciri khas dan keunikan tersendiri, salah satunya produk bordir di Pila Kebaya yang terdapat keunikan dalam penggunaan motifnya. Jenis motif yang digunakan adalah transformasi dari bentuk asli burung merak. Pada produk bordir pemilihan kombinasi warna di Pila Kebaya menggunakan kombinasi banyak warna. Tujuan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan transformasi motif burung merak dan kombinasi warna benang yang digunakan pada motif burung merak produk bordir di usaha bordir Pila Kebaya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif, dimana jenis data berupa data primer dan sekunder. Informan dalam penelitian ini ialah 1 orang pemilik, 10 orang pengrajin dan 1 orang konsumen di usaha bordir Pila Kebaya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan bservasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model interaktif yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah transformasi motif burung merak di Pila Kebaya merupakan hasil stilasi dari berbagai model atau corak burung merak asli, dijadikan motif dan kombinasi warna benang yang digunakan adalah kombinasi warna analog, kombinasi warna komplementer dan kombinasi warna monokromatis. He emphasized the cultural values of the Karo people in the past into his paintings. The painting has its own place for the public of his art, as Rasinta specifically presented this work to those who shared the same socio-cultural background as the value groups in the painting. The communication that occurs between the art public – arts – creator painting, there is interaction in it and causes interpretation through symbols but there is still miscommunication or misperception by the public. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of revealing the meaning and form of symbolic interaction in painting to minimize errors in interpreting a work. The research method used was qualitatively-interpretative descriptive with Herbert Blumer’s theory of symbolic interaction to describe the narrative of the meaning and form of symbolic interaction in the work. The results of this study were concluded that the characteristics of the painting could immediately look like Karo’s typical traditional house, which he located at a center point, so the public focus of his art led to the object. This study no longer leads to formal analysis, but rather to symbolic aesthetic appreciation or message contained in the painting. Again, of course, the art public who appreciates symbolic aesthetics is the art public who has the same socio-cultural background so that good and correct art communication occurs.Keywords: public, art communication, Rasinta Tarigan.AbstrakRasinta Tarigan yang merupakan seorang seniman Karo, menggarap lukisannya berjudul “Kampung Karo” dengan romantisme kehidupan masyarakat Karo. Ia menekankan nilai-nilai budaya yang ada pada masyarakat Karo pada masa lampau ke dalam lukisannya. Lukisan ini memiliki tempat tersendiri untuk publik seninya, karena Rasinta secara khusus mempersembahkan karya ini untuk mereka yang memiliki latar sosial-budaya yang sama dengan gugus nilai yang terdapat di dalam lukisan tersebut. Komunikasi seni yang terjadi antara publik seni – lukisan – pencipta seni, terdapat interaksi di dalamnya dan menyebabkan proses interpretasi melalui simbol-simbol. Namun masih terdapat miskomunikasi atau mispersepsi oleh publiknya. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengungkap makna dan bentuk interaksi simbolik pada lukisan agar meminimalisir kekeliruan dalam menginterpretasi sebuah karya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah deskriptif kualitatif-interpretatif dengan teori interaksi simbolik oleh Herbert Blumer untuk menguraikan narasi makna serta bentuk interaksi simbolik yang terdapat dalam karya tersebut. Games can relieve stress due to too many activities. The game that is trending and is in the spotlight right now is the Mobile Legend game. In Indonesia, games can cause controversy which is considered dangerous because it does not educate students in particular. The influence of negative impacts that are too large which results in a feeling of addiction to this game must be overcome as soon as possible. This study aims to overcome the negative impact of game addiction (addiction), namely through public service advertisement videos. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach that aims to obtain more detailed and relevant information. The data were obtained from observations regarding an object, namely online game addiction suffered by the younger generation, especially students from the Darmajaya Institute of Informatics and Business. The design method that will be used to complete a public service advertisement video as a social media campaign for the dangers of online game addiction is Brainstorming. The design in the process of making public service advertisement videos about the dangers of online game addiction goes through 3 different stages, namely pre-production, production and post-production. From the results of the evaluation of the students who watched, there was a very good impact, this was seen by several students who had reduced the portion of playing games so that they stopped playing at certain times.Keywords: addiction, online games, ILM. AbstrakDunia game adalah dunia yang sangat mengasyikan bagi semua kalangan dari anak-anak sampai orang dewasa. Game dapat menghilangkan rasa stress akibat terlalu banyaknya aktivitas. Game yang sedang trend dan menjadi sorotan saat ini adalah game Mobile Legend. Di Indonesia game dapat menimbulkan kontroversi yang dianggap berbahaya karena tidak mendidik bagi pelajar khususunya. Adanya pengaruh dampak negatif yang terlalu besar yang mengakibatkan rasa kecanduan terhadap game inilah harus diatasi secepatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi terjadinya dampak negatif akibat kecanduan game (adiksi) yaitu melalui video iklan layanan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan diskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi lebih rinci dan relevan. Data diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan mengenai suatu objek, yaitu adiksi game online yang diderita oleh generasi muda, khususnya mahasiswa Institut Informatika dan Bisnis Darmajaya.
