Sandiwara Keliling Gelangang Labu are in the form of performances with improvised concepts that tell stories from the people of Aceh and are staged from one village to another within one week. This study aims to explain the elements of dramatization and aesthetic response to the play around Gelanggang Labu in the village of Gelanggang Labu, Peusangan District, Kabupaten Bireun using the dramaturgical approach of Erving Goffman which carries the dramaturgy of social interaction. around. This study used a qualitative descriptive method where the subject of this study focused on dramatization elements and aesthetic responses to the Sandiwara Keliling Gelangang Labu. Data collection technidues observation, interviews and documentation.  Then 3 stages of data analysis techniques namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions/verification. At the stage of research results will predict the aspects of dramatization, namely the manuscript, performers, director, make-up, fashion, lights, stage, sound system, and also the audience.Keywords: sandiwara keliling, dramatization, aesthetic respon. AbstrakPerkembangan sandiwara keliling Gelangang Labu di Kabupaten Bireun mulai surut dikarenakan tidak semua generasi muda mengikuti sejarah kemunculan Sandiwara tersebut. Sandiwara keliling gelanggang labu berbentuk pertunjukan dengan konsep improvisasi yang mengisahkan cerita-cerita rakyat Aceh dan di pentaskan dari satu desa ke desa lainnya dalam waktu satu minggu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang elemen dramatisasi dan respon estetis sandiwara keliling Gelanggang Labu di desa Gelanggang Labu Kecamatan Peusangan, Kabupaten Bireun dengan pendekatan dramaturgi Erving Goffman yang mengusung dramaturgi interaksi sosial.Gelanggang Labu berangkat dari alur serta cerita yang disuguhkan secara improvisasi sesuai peristiwa di lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dimana subjek penelitian ini terfokus pada elemen dramatisasi dan respon estetis sandiwara keliling gelanggang labu. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya  3 tahap teknik analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. In the process of art interaction in the process of creation to meaning, a dialogue has occurred between a work, the artist and their appreciation. This interaction process makes the position of the artwork have an important part as an element of communication that occurs. The process of integrating the three elements of an artist, artwork and apreian can be described as a cycle of aesthetic work. This process can be called the process of aesthetic communication. This study aims to describe the aesthetic communication that can be found in Tarfi Abdullah's paintings. Data collection techniques in the selected research method are qualitative by using observation, interviews, and documentation as information gathering tools. The results of the study show that the process of aesthetic communication contained in Tarfi Abdullah's paintings is presented in various subject matter and themes, such as the theme of tradition, religion and humanity. This theme in Tarfi Abdullah's work has a strong characteristic, namely magical expressiveness.Keywords: communication, aesthetics, visual, painting. AbstrakSebuah karya seni merupakan ekspresi pribadi dari masing-masing seniman, namun begitu sebuah karya lahir menjadi sebuah bentuk yang dinikmati oleh para pecinta seni. Proses interaksi kesenian dalam proses penciptaan hingga pemaknaan, telah terjadi dialog sebuah karya, seniman dan apresianya. Hal tersebut menjadikan  posisi karya seni memiliki bagian penting sebagai elemen komunikasi yang terjadi. Proses interaksi tiga elemen seniman, karya seni dan apresian dapat disebuat sebagai siklus wilayah kerja estetik. Proses tersebut dapat dinamakan  proses komunkasi estetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan komunkasi estetik yang dapat ditemui pada karya lukis Tarfi Abdullah. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam metode penelitian yang dipilih adalah kualitatif dengan menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai alat pengumpulan informasi.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses komunikasi estetik yang terdapat pada lukisan Tarfi Abdullah dihadirkan dalam berbagai subject matter dan tema, seperti tema tradisi, religi dan tema kemanusiaan. Traditional clothing that has been sacred by the community has become a symbol that is full of values. These values can later be used as a reference in the daily life of the Minangkabau people. The development of the times can change the form of traditional clothing. The people do not know that changing the shape will also change the meaning of the symbols in Minangkabau traditional clothing. So it is feared that one day the traditional clothes that have not undergone changes, such as the Panghulu and Bundo Kanduang traditional clothes, will no longer be understood by the next generation in Minangkabau for their meanings and symbols. Therefore, the author ventured to reveal how the form contained in the philosophy of the traditional clothes of Panghulu and Bundo Kanduang in Batipuah Baruah, Tanah Datar. This research is a qualitative using descriptive method. Data collection techniques by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. Penghulu traditional clothing consists of headgear, clothes, pants, Sisampiang, belts, clothing; sarongs and samiri cloth, as well as kerises. Bundo kanduang traditional clothing consists of tingkuluak, kuroom clothes, codecs, sampang, jewelry, and footwear. The form of the Panghulu and Bundo Kanduang traditional clothes is a combination of geometric shapes and organic shapes. Geometric shapes are regular and precise. Organic forms in art are soft, curved, irregular, although there are natural forms such as angled crystal structures.Keywords: shapes, traditional clothes, panghulu, penghulu. AbstrakPakaian adat di Minangkabau merupakan pakaian tradisi yang diwariskan secara turun temurun dari satu generasi ke generasi berikutnya. Pakaian adat yang sudah disakralkan oleh masyarakat menjadi simbol yang sarat dengan nilai-nilai. Nilai-nilai inilah yang kelak dapat dijadikan sebagai acuan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Minangkabau. Perkembangan zaman bisa mengubah bentuk dari pakaian adat. Masyarakat tidak mengetahui bahwa jika bentuk berubah juga akan mengubah makna dari simbol yang ada dalam pakaian adat di Minangkabau. Maka dikhawatirkan pada suatu saat nanti pakaian adat yang belum mengalami perubahan seperti pakaian adat penghulu, tidak lagi dipahami makna dan simbolnya oleh generasi selanjutnya di Minangkabau. Oleh karena itu, penulis memberanikan diri untuk mengungkap bagaimana bentuk yang terkandung dalam filosofi pakaian adat panghulu di Batipuah Baruah, Tanah Datar. Batik basically batik is a traditional dress that is attached to an area and has become a hallmark of that area. Along with the development of the times, batik began to become familiar among the people. Batik began to develop in the world of fashion, such as kebaya dresses and many more. This study aims to create a t-shirt product design using a written batik technique with Toba Batak ornaments. This study uses the Graham Walles method, which includes the preparation, incubation, inspiration and testing stages. The results of the creation are 12 T-Shirts using Toba Batak ornaments with written batik techniques, namely: Kinship T-Shirts, Long Rule T-Shirts, Timepiece T-Shirts, King of Smiles T-Shirts, Prestige T-Shirts, Self Guard T-Shirts, T-Shirts -Treasure Keeper T-Shirts, Lush T-Shirts, Prosecutor T-Shirts, Human Love T-Shirts, Fun Line T-Shirts and Heart Does not Change T-Shirts that can be used by teenagers to adults. This can introduce and attract people's attention to the Toba Batak batik ornaments found on T-Shirts.Keywords: ornament, T-Shirt, batik tulis. AbstrakMenciptakan suatu produk T-Shirt di era modern ini, biasanya hanya menggunakan teknik sablon saja dengan desain yang simple dan sesuai selera masyarakat, belum ada  ditemukan  produk T-Shirt  menggunakan teknik batik tulis bermotif  ornamen Batak Toba. Batik pada dasarnya batik merupakan pakaian tradisional yang melekat pada suatu daerah dan menjadi suatu ciri khas dari daerah tersebut. Seiring berkembangnya zaman, batik mulai menjadi hal yang familiar di kalangan masyarakat. Batik mulai berkembang dalam dunia fasion seperti dress kebaya dan masih banyak lagi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan desain produk T-Shirt dengan teknik batik tulis bermotif ornamen Batak Toba. Penelitian  ini menggunakan metode Graham Walles yang terdapat tahap persiapan, pengeraman, tahap munculnya ilham dan tahap pengujian. Nowadays, public awareness of the importance of reading books is very minimal, so designers need to make changes to the concept of the library to attract people's interest in starting a lifestyle of reading books. Complete facilities, especially in the field of technology, in a library can be one of the attractions for visitors and is equipped with relaxing facilities and a café for a short break. In general, libraries are indoor and closed which gives a serious and tense impression so designers provide several digital library innovations with the concept of a learning commons library according to today's lifestyle. Uplifting the 'Transitional Contemporary' style of Banten culture with contemporary culture and 'Natural' style which can produce harmonious designs and do not collide with each other, are able to combine aesthetic elements that complement each other and produce a new room design that feels different. Zaman ini, kesadaran masyarakat akan pentingnya membaca buku sangat minim sehingga desainer perlu melakukan perubahan konsep pada perpustakaan untuk menarik minat masyarakat memulai pola hidup membaca buku. Which in the process is adapted to the culture and environment in which it develops. Learning the art of painting is one of them, in Islamic religious culture painting animate creatures is prohibited. This is an obstacle to learning painting in class IX at MTs Salafiyah, while learning must be carried out. Based on initial observations related to school culture, student character, and the material being taught, to increase knowledge and skills, and adapted to the character of students, educators are required to critical thinking, creatively and selectively by carrying out learning decorative painting on pillowcases with a constructivist theory approach with discovery learning. With a relatively short time between the density of junior high school schedules, the variety of student characters, the school environment, and its policies, the theory is quite effectively applied in the learning process. Hal tersebut yang menjadi kendala pembelajaran seni Lukis kelas IX di MTs Salafiyah, sedang pembelajaran harus tetap dilaksanakan. Berdasarkan observasi awal terkait kultur Madrasah Tsanawiyah, karakter siswa, dan materi yang diajarkan, untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan, serta disesuaikan dengan karakter peserta didik, pendidik dituntut berpikiran kritis, kreatif, dan solutif dengan melaksanakan pembelajaran seni Lukis dekoratif pada sarung bantal dengan metode pendekatan teori konstruktivis dengan discovery learning. Dengan waktu yang cukup singkat di antara kepadatan jadwal Madrasah Tsanawiyah, ragam karakter siswa, lingkungan Madrasah Tsanawiyah dan kebijakannya, teori tersebut cukup efektif diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. However, the rapid development of batik does not guarantee the success of the batik businesses to be sustainable. One example occurs in one of the national batik industry centers, namely Cirebon. The famous culture of batik in Cirebon is synonymous with the craft center located in Trusmi Village. However, Cirebon also has other areas that are actively producing batik, such as Ciwaringin Village. Contrast to the popular Trusmi Village, Ciwaringin Village's batik tends to fade. The craftmanship of hand-written batik is assumed as one obstacle in responding to consumer trends and demands. In regards, this research aims to explore the alternative designs in developing Ciwaringin batik by infusing the trendy hypernature concept for home décor product. The idea of the batik development design is initiated to respond the growing trend of home décor consumption and the rise of hype nature concept of innovations, which is the integration of technology and nature to support sustainability. Thus, the design method used is a collaboration of Ciwaringin batik traditional elements with the trend of 2022/2023. The collaboration of traditional and the trend elements is considered sufficient in helping craftsmen to be responsive to the latest developments happened amidst society. Through the design process, it was discovered the potency of new designs and the rise of new market segments. Although the design project should be considered as an early stage of development, but it can be concluded that there are positive indications of implementing the trend elements for developing traditional batik designs.Keywords: batik Ciwaringin, home décor, hypernature. AbstrakBudaya batik kini berhasil menjadi satu penggerak ekonomi kreatif hingga membuka peluang ketenagakerjaan di beragam wilayah Indonesia. Namun maraknya perkembangan batik, tidak lantas menjanjikan kesuksesan seluruh pelaku usaha batik untuk mampu berkelanjutan. Sebagai contoh adalah sentra industri batik nasional, yaitu kota Cirebon. Hingga kini budaya pembatikan di Cirebon identik dengan sentra yang berlokasi di Desa Trusmi. Namun kota Cirebon pun memiliki beragam wilayah lainnya yang aktif menghasilkan batik, seperti Desa Ciwaringin. Berbeda dengan Desa Trusmi yang populer, industri batik Desa Ciwaringin cenderung meredup. Currently, tapestry has begun to develop in Indonesian regions such as Bali. This tapestry is widely used as a wall decoration or applied to other products. This study aims to determine the development of tapestry in Bali and its preservation efforts so that it can be used as a reference or reference in understanding tapestry. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies on tapestry. The theory used is the tapestry theory to describe more specifically about tapestry and its patterns, and use aesthetic theory. The results of this study show that the development of tapestry has entered Bali and is widely traded, even tapestry craftsmen can be found in Bali but there are still many people who do not know or know about tapestry. The development of motifs can be seen in the diversity of motifs consisting of natural motifs, batik motifs, and abstract motifs. Techniques have also developed, namely there are flat techniques, soumak, giordes, hook joints, and kilite joints. The use of colors has also been diverse and brighter. The Indonesian Institute of the Arts Denpasar also develops tapestry by providing tapestry courses to students and even making tapestri workshops. The conclusion that can be conveyed is that in Bali tapestry has developed in terms of craftsmen / students, motifs, techniques, and their concentration.Keywords: tapestry, development, Bali, learning. AbstrakTapestri merupakan jenis struktur tenun sederhana yang tersusun atas jalinan dari benang lungsi dan pakan. Saat ini tapestri sudah mulai berkembang di daerah-daerah Indonesia seperti Bali. Tapestri ini banyak digunakan sebagai hiasan dinding atau diaplikasikan pada produk-produk lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan tapestri di Bali dan upaya pelestariannya sehingga dapat dijadikan acuan atau referensi dalam pemahaman mengenai tapestri. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur mengenai tapestri. Teori yang digunakan yaitu teori tapestri untuk menjabarkan lebih spesifik mengenai tapestri dan coraknya, serta menggunakan teori estetika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan tapestri sudah masuk di Bali dan banyak diperjual belikan, bahkan perajin tapestri pun sudah dapat ditemukan di Bali namun masih banyak masyarakat yang belum mengenal atau mengetahui tentang tapestri. Perkembangan motif dapat dilihat keragaman motif yang terdiri dari motif alam, motif batik, dan motif abstrak. For instance this method changes the product from the initial dimensions to be smaller (scale down). Examples of products that use this method are kitchenware (microwave, oven, juicer, blender), scale down the industrial scale production capacity to the household scale. This paper aim to discuss a study that scaling-down industrial-scale gray water waste treatment equipment to a household scale. Through the R&D method, this research compound in two stages, namely 1) Making a visualization of the concept in the form of a mock-up, and 2) Analyzing the primary function of the product through trials under certain conditions. The results of trials show that the mock-up has not been able to treat gray water waste, working systems needs to be develop so that the product can work. The conclusion of this journal is that the scale down method is not only about reducing the dimensions of components, sub-components, and so on, but also must pay attention to the work system and its constituent components on a scale. The output of this journal can provide input for other researchers using the scaling-down method.Keyword: design method, scale down, limbah. AbstrakTerdapat beberapa kasus desain produk yang metode perancangannya dilakukan dengan mengadaptasi produk yang sudah ada, salah satunya adalah dengan metode scale down (Myerson, 2016). Secara sederhana metode ini mengubah produk dari dimensi awal menjadi lebih kecil (scale down). Contoh produk pakai yang menggunakan metode ini adalah kitchenware (microwave, oven, juicer, blender), dengan scale down kapasitas produksi skala industri diperkecil menjadi skala rumah tangga. Tujuan jurnal ini adalah membahas sebuah penelitian yang menggunakan metode scale down yaitu sebuah konsep desain alat pengolah limbah grey water skala industri yang diperkecil menjadi skala rumah tangga. Melalui metode R&D penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua tahap yaitu: 1) membuat visualiasi konsep dalam bentuk mock up, 2) menganalisa fungsi primer produk melalui uji coba dalam kondisi tertentu. Hasil dari uji coba diketahui bahwa mock up belum dapat berfungsi untuk mengolah limbah grey water, metode scale down yang dilakukan menghasilkan sistem kerja yang butuh dikembangkan agar produk dapat berfungsi. Simpulan dari jurnal ini adalah metode scale down tidak hanya tentang memperkecil dimensi komponen, sub komponen dan sebagainya, namun juga harus memperhatikan sistem kerja dan komponen pembentuknya dalam skala tertentu. HIdayat","doi":"10.24114/gr.v12i1.44225","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24114/gr.v12i1.44225","url":null,"abstract":"The Kembang Dangar batik motif is a batik motif from north lombok and has high historical value. this motif was inspired by the shape of the dangar tree, an ancient tree with a rich cultural history in north lombok. this motif is relatively new, so there are still many people who do not know about it. it was influenced by the community's lack of reading material or literature about the historical and philosophical values of the kembang dangar batik motif. this study is aimed to describe kembang dangar batik motif, such as: 1) the history or background of the creation of kembang dangar batik motif; 2) the design of kembang dangar batik motif; and 3) the application of kembang dangar batik motif. the method used in this study is the descriptive-qualitative method. the data collection techniques used interviews, observation, and documentation. the techniques of data analysis used reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The research shows that 1) the kembang dangar batik motif has been developed by raden prawangsa jayaningrat as a form of concern for the traditional artwork from north lombok; it was inspired by the shape of dangar trees. 2) in general, the design of the kembang dangar batik motif was classified into some structural elements, main decoration, and filler decoration. 3) the application of the kembang dangar batik motif is limited, only for bongot or sapuk. sapuq or bongot is a local headband from lombok; it is usually used when there is a traditional ceremony or other regional traditional events.Keywords: kembang dangar, batik, motif. AbstrakMotif batik Kembang Dangar merupakan motif batik khas Kabupaten Lombok Utara yang memiliki nilai sejarah tinggi. Pembuatan motif tersebut terinspirasi dari wujud pohon dangar, yakni pohon purba yang sarat dengan sejarah kebudayaan kabupaten lombok utara. motif batik kembang dangar tergolong baru sehingga masih banyak masyarakat yang belum mengetahui tentang motif tersebut. hal tersebut dipengaruhi pula kurangnya bahan bacaan ataupun literatur bagi masyarakat terkait nilai historis dan filosofis motif batik kembang dangar. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan motif batik kembang dangar meliputi; (1) sejarah atau latar belakang penciptaan motif batik Kembang dangar, (2) bentuk motif batik kembang dangar dan (3) pengaplikasian motif batik kembang dangar. metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif.
