But nowadays, we are facing a challenge of handling massive data in a proper and timely manner so as to extract useful information (knowledge) from streaming data. Such massive streaming data cannot be stored in our limited storage and due to its continuous flow we need to process it in single pass. Various algorithms have been provided in order to perform the single pass extraction of knowledge from streaming data; however, no single data mining algorithm can be used applicably for all the problems because of the different kinds of real data sets or synthetic data sets. This paper discusses various streaming data mining techniques and compares the algorithms taking into consideration some evaluation measures in an attempt to find the optimal solution for the generated synthetic data set.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128497598","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It affects substantially on accurate estimation of effort of development. The Predictive Object Point (POPs) input gives an estimate of the size of the software for which the estimation is required. POPs are a metric suitable for estimating the size of object oriented software, based on the behaviors that each class is delivering to the system along with top level inputs describing the structure of a system. However there is no real mapping of Source Lines of Code (SLOC) to POPs exists. This paper is an attempt to map the Predictive Object Point Metrics with software size which may help in further prediction of effort. This may also help in estimation of cost as well as schedule measurement of an OO system. The proposed method of mapping between POP and software size has been empirically investigated. KLOC has been estimated in terms of EKLOC through POP count using the linear regression equation. The results are presented here to show that how POP Count may be mapped to corresponding software size (KLOC) of an object oriented system.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130533697","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Attachment of single tag in an object has less detection probability since the attached tag may not be within the communication range. Use of multiple numbers of tags in an object solves this problem and increases the detection probability. Many authentication schemes have been proposed assuming the existence of single tag in an object. The challenge is to design an authentication scheme that can authenticate an object efficiently in multi tag arrangement without affecting the detection probability. In this paper, we have proposed an efficient authentication scheme which assumes the existence of multiple numbers of tags in an object. Our scheme does not affect the detection probability in multi-tag arrangement.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123495953","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Unfortunately due to hostile environment there is need of some other active nodes i.e. backbone nodes which can compensate the failure of the nodes. One of the main design challenges for wireless sensor network (WSNs) is to obtain connecting dominating set (CDS) in polynomial time with low message complexity. However CDS problem is shown to be NP-hard. In a simple graph, a dominating set is a set of vertices such that every other vertex is adjacent to at least one vertex of this set. A dominating set with least number of vertices is called minimum dominating set and a dominating set which form connected graph is called minimum connected dominating set (MCDS). In this paper, we propose the state-of-the-art survey of CDS construction algorithms i.e. distributed and centralized algorithms based on time complexity, message complexity, approximation factor, neighborhood knowledge and quality parameters. The basic challenges, open research issues and research gaps are briefly explored in this paper. Finally, we conclude our work insight for future research direction regarding development of a CDS algorithm with in linear time and low message complexity.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"45 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114024817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The other way of looking at it is arguably the vehicles as resource providers. From this we put forward the concept of vehicular network managed cloud or simply a Vehicular Cloud where the on-road safety services and the like can be assisted using In-Vehicle resources. Because of the distinct features of vehicular network i.e. high mobility, clustered movement, and directional behavior new mechanisms are required to effectively manage the dynamic resources that vary in type and availability. This research paper proposes formation of a Vehicular Cloud for using In-Vehicular resources. We introduce a scalable hierarchical Vehicular Cloud network model based on Road-Side Access Point (RSAP) regions for identifying In-Vehicular resources which compensates for its non-optimal behavior by considering the mobility pattern of vehicular nodes. Finally we conclude by proposing an architecture for a Cloud enabled VANET to support remote data storage, processing and communication.","PeriodicalId":404873,"journal":{"name":"2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom)","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-03-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115940319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
