By approaching the problems of low voltage and high noise from miniaturization of a device from a stochastic point of view, a faint-signal receiving system that can effectively detect sub-threshold and noise level signals has been developed. In addition, an alternative to statistical processing is proposed, and would be successfully implemented on a circuit. For the proposed signal detection method, the detection sensitivity was investigated using numerical simulation, and the detection sensitivity was sufficiently high to detect even a signal with a signal-to-inherent-noise ratio of -14 dB. This study proposed a novel H-tree configurable circuit. The 10-transistor (5P5N) CMOS version H-tree logic gate can generate AOI22, OAI22, AOI21, OAI21, NAND3, NAND2, NOR3, NOR2 and INV functions. A classic 8-to-1 multiplexer-based logic module needs 36 transistors to implement these functions; even an Actelpsilas ACT 1 logic module also needs 24 transistors to cover the job. Both the transistor count and layout cost of the proposed configurable gate are smaller than any other logic cell in FPGA/CPLD. RFID transponders can also be coupled to tiny sensors, enabling non invasive monitoring of environmental and personal parameters. To ensure the privacy of highly sensitive data, encryption and authentication capabilities should be embedded in RFID devices, in a fashion compatible with tight power budgets of wireless devices. In this contribution, a baseband-processor is introduced, which complies with ISO 18000-6C (EPC Class1 Gen2) protocol and integrates AES primitives aimed at secure data transmission. Performance of passive RFID devices is limited by the available power, harvested from the incoming radiation. Power-saving strategies are devised, both at the system and the circuit levels. A set of standard cells has been designed, suitable for near-threshold voltage operations. In this process, each iteration consists of two phases and each phase involves only one signal sampling. By means of this process, the accuracy of the current division is made insensitive to the device mismatch. The circuit implementing the process is simple and the step of adjustment per iteration is variable, so that an accurate adjustment can quickly be reached after a few iterations. The faulty elements are either open circuits or short circuits. The method is based on the well known Householder formula. The main achievement of the paper is a systematic method for performing the simulation of all combinations of the multiple catastrophic faults. The method includes two new procedures, enabling us to find very efficiently the node impedance matrix in the nominal circuit and inversions of some matrices corresponding to different fault combinations. The procedures are the crucial point of this approach and make it very efficient. Consequently the amount of computing power needed to carry out all the simulations is significantly reduced. Temperature modulation is first used to virtually boost the number of sensors by periodically sampling the sensorspsila response at different temperatures. Convex tin-oxide sensor technology is used to increase the thermal efficiency of our in-house gas sensors. The response of each sensor is seen as a fingerprint map which is further processed using various image processing techniques. Indeed, SOM algorithm is used to create a 2D map for each gas and the image moments are calculated to retrieve the blighter regions in the SOMpsilas nodes that show high activity to the input gas. However, covert channels are rarely used due to their complexity. This article presents a novel covert channel based on record route IP header options for downloading and uploading text files and sending short messages. The presence of hidden texts and messages exchanged over the proposed covert channel will be unnoticed unless the IP header options are inspected. A tool has been implemented based on the proposed covert channel. It uses a client/server technology to offer a hidden version of the well known file transfer protocol (FTP) service. This service is called hidden file transfer protocol (HFTP).
