Одним из первых серьезных лексикографических источников стал «Словарь живого великорусского языка» В. И. Даля. Современные исследователи рассматривают данный словарь как памятник культуры, символ духа народа, его истории и как некий ориентир в разработке новых словарей. Отечественная лексикография развивается динамично, что проявляется и в количественном, и в качественном плане. Подобная ситуация оценивается экспертами как «лексикографический бум. Исследователи отмечают, что за последние несколько десятилетий «сформировались новые типы словарей, обогатился и усовершенствовался метаязык словарных описаний, разработаны новые принципы диалога „словарь – читатель“ с учетом многообразных целевых установок адресатов словарной продукции» [Козырев, Черняк 2014: 7]. Активно на современном этапе развивается и терминография. Появление словарей специальных терминов свидетельствует о том, что лексикография является эффективным способом системного изучения терминологии любой области знания. В настоящий момент существует значительное количество словарей разных типов, которые фиксируют нормативное значение терминов определенной сферы знания в родном для них институциональном дискурсе (юридическом, экономическом, политическом и т. д.), однако наряду с подобными словарями наблюдается появление инновационных словарей, дискурсивных по своей Кондратьева О. Н., Игнатова Ю. С. «Словарь юридических терминов в российских СМИ XXI века»... 184 природе, описывающих специфику функционирования терминов в несвой ственных им дискурсах. При помощи подобных словарей можно наблюдать механизмы терминологизации и детерминологизации слов, учитывать семантические и стилистические модификации профессиональной лексики. Таким образом, в отличие от традиционного словаря терминов, «дискурсивный словарь описывает не значение само по себе, но значение как его дискурсивное употребление» [Голев 2019: 115]. Наиболее активно процесс междискурсивных дрейфов рассматривается применительно к политической терминологии. {"title":"THE ESSAY “CHE-CHE-O”: SEMANTIC RESOURCES OF THE AVANTEXT","authors":"Oleg Yu. Platonov and numerous problems related to the theory and practice of scientific interpretation of his works in the light of the latest publications, source discoveries and textual and biographical facts. Of particular importance for the teleology of the writer’s style and the ultra-textual “poetics of revisiting” characteristic of his writing (the term coined by N. M. Malygina) are the works created in transition epochs. The strategies of A. Platonov’s writing as an artist and publicist, realized in the late 1920s – early 1930s in an implicit and open polemic with aesthetic declarations and dogmatic propaganda aims, in modern science are interpreted in various ways, including analysis of the semantic resources inherent in the avantexts. The article deals with the specific features of actualization, selection, comprehension, and editing representation of creative and semantic resources of avantext on the example of the essay “Che-Che-O”, published by A. Platonov in collaboration with B. Pilnyak in a “reassembled” edition, which significantly differed from the original one. The novelty of the article is determined by the proposed approach to the object of research. The study reveals the axiological role of autobiographical discourse for the formation of the avantext and the significance of the “Voronezh text” for the implementation of the final plan. It also discovers the lines of creative attraction, due to which writers with different understanding of the nature of essay writing and possessing personally specific composition techniques could cooperate. The study identifies the most important components of the creative idea, examines the sources reinterpreted by A. Platonov, including the works of A. {"title":"Academic English language teachers’ roles in a virtual and hybrid exchange project","authors":"M. The project in question is a language and intercultural exchange which connects three core partners – Universite Clermont Auvergne (France), Warwick University (UK) and Jagiellonian University (Poland). This study explores the collaboration tasks completed by the French and Polish partners over a period of six years between 2014 and 2020. Set against the backdrop of the challenges faced by contemporary education such as the rapidly progressing digital revolution, the pivoting to online learning caused by global challenges of the recent times, and the pressure on internationalization of higher education, this autoethnographic analysis of the project activities reveals new functions and requirements to academic teachers of English from the point of view of their personal cultural and intercultural experience. One of the conclusions of this study is that the English language teaching profession is moving away from the role in which teachers acted as mere language instructors or language input providers. Instead, contemporary and future language teachers are likely to be required to focus more on those tasks which facilitate meaningful communication, to be concerned with setting up and managing educational activities in offline and online spaces and will need to encourage reflection on local and global community involvement. The article separates concepts of virtual exchange as referring to the engagement of groups of learners in online intercultural interactions and collaboration projects with partners from other cultural contexts or geographical locations as an integrated part of their educational programmes, and hybrid exchange, which adds to virtual exchange incorporation of offline interactions and physical mobility of students. Thus this research contributes to the solution of the problem of changing the viewpoint to second language teacher’s knowledge and competences by suggesting an alternative, more comprehensive framework which takes into account what is likely to become an increasingly common educational reality – virtual and hybrid teaching. {"title":"DEMYTHOLOGISING SOCIAL FICTIONS IN ANGELA CARTER’S REINTERPRETATIONS OF FAIRY TALES","authors":"A. Z. The awareness of pressure of stereotypes in culturally central texts led to their persistent revision by the 20th century women writers. In “The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories”, Angela Carter appropriates some of Charles Perrault’s classical plots calling it a “demythologizing business”. The paper studies “social fictions” regarding women scrutinized in Carter’s reinterpretations of Beauty and the Beast plot. As their overall structure analysis testifies, critical approach to conventional culture’s concepts of gender predetermines the mode of narration - “stories about fairy stories” and female character perspective. These allow for the use of metacommentary that centres on economic issues concerning young women. Alongside with their fears, these issues are thematised by foregrounding recurrent motifs and law words. As the research shows, the major female character’s motivations that their flat prototypes lack are exposed; the 1st person narration also absent in the pretext permits the author to articulate criticism of “social fictions” underlying classical fairy tales through the female character’s mouthpiece in feminist terms. Aleinikov","doi":"10.51762/1fk-2021-26-02-09","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51762/1fk-2021-26-02-09","url":null,"abstract":"The article analyses the specificity of reception of Mandelstam’s “Voronezh Notebooks” in the censored (prepublication) period during expertise of his works by independent researchers in Voronezh where his poems were created, recorded and authorized. The authors study the historical background and clarify some strategies of perception of Mandelstam’s lyrical poems and the problems of real and historical-literary commenting of his texts. The urgency of the study can be attributed to the need to investigate the history of accumulating precise knowledge about the poet and his creative activity recorded in personal documents such as letters, diaries, notebooks and transcripts of interviews kept in private collections of the scholars who took part in the search and systematization of historical and biographical data (and other reliable materials, facts and oral reminiscences) about Mandelstam’s life and his creative heritage. The novelty of the study is determined by the fact that it includes in the scope of scholarly interest the notes of N. Mitrakova, written down in the 1960s–1980s during her communication with N. Shtempel (1908–1988) who, being a friend of N. Mandelstam, was involved in poet’s life, and saved and kept the major part of his archive. The article reconstructs the search for real Voronezh toponymy reinterpreted in the poet’s works. For the first time, the article provides extracts from previously unpublished and new diaries of Professor V. Svitelskiy (1940–2005), who was the founder of Mandelstam studies in Voronezh. The article publishes photos from N. Mitrakova’s private collection and photos made in the 1970s–1980s by the researcher, Candidate of Chemistry V. Gordin (1940–1992), who was N. Shtempel’s co-author of the album and the slide show “Mandelstam in Voronezh”. The text was prepared by O. Aleynikov. Quotes from the diaries of V. Svitelsky were prepared and provided by N. Mitrakova. Fragments of her memoirs about N. {"title":"NIKOLAY KIRSANOV IN THE SYSTEM OF CHARACTERS IN THE NOVEL “FATHERS AND SONS” BY IVAN TURGENEV","authors":"F. Shteinbuk","doi":"10.51762/1fk-2021-26-02-02.","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51762/1fk-2021-26-02-02.","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of the article is to study the character of Nikolay Kirsanov and its role in the novel “Fathers and Sons” since, until recently, this character has been rather neglected, and both national and foreign critics have focused on a standard, and often schematic, enumeration of some positive qualities of the character’s personality. In order to achieve the aim and to probably reconsider the ideas and thematic plot of the novel by I. Turgenev in general, the hermeneutic, biographical and cultural-historical methods are used in the article in the context of receptive aesthetics. The suggested approach has enabled the author to argue that the personality traits of Nikolay Petrovich are determined by his relationship with Fenechka because in this case they find themselves under pressure of social inequality, significant age difference, and their mutual illegitimate son. Such an unusual behavior of a basically positive character is motivated by his belonging to the infernal sphere, which is interpreted by means of the image of “le Diable Boiteux”, i.e. “a lame devil”, with all customs and traditions of the landowners and nobility represented in it. Moreover, the character of Nikolay Petrovich Kirsanov embodied Turgenev’s personal traumatic experience concerning the writer’s illegitimate daughter. All this has allowed the author to make a conclusion that it is possible to partially reconsider most of the novel characters due to their involvement into the ambiguous situation which formed because of one of the Kirsanov brothers. The article aims to study multiculturalism as a modern reality and implement this theoretical knowledge into the process of foreign language teaching of future lawyers. Appeal to philosophy and culturology makes it possible to see the deeper truth about upbringing and teaching as multi-ethnic phenomena, identify effective strategies of multicultural foreign language teaching. The authors of the article consider the process of foreign language teaching of non-linguistic higher school students from the aspect of developing their professional competences in close contact with foreign peers in international groupwork providing the acknowledgement of pluralism and equivalence of customs and beliefs represented in the academic community of different countries. The notions of multicultural and intercultural education are separated as the first deals with the ideas of humanism and diversity of people on our planet and the second – with interethnic relations. Both ideas are combined in this research to strengthen the course of English language teaching to students – future lawyers with practices of real interaction with representatives of law departments of foreign universities. The combination of the dialogue approach (communication with partners on cultural differences in legal sphere), the compe-tence-based approach (getting skilled in finding out information on solving legal issues taking into account ethnic and national aspects of a certain country), and the socio-psychological approach (developing socio-oriented and value-oriented predispositions, communicative and empathic skills) proves to be effective to implement the elaborated procedure of professional interaction between students in international groups. Gutrina","doi":"10.51762/1fk-2021-26-02-11.","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.51762/1fk-2021-26-02-11.","url":null,"abstract":"The present article addresses the interpretation of two poems written by Osip Mandelstam in 1936, namely “The law of pine grove…” (“Sosnovoy roshchitsy zakon…”) and “The bristles of sleepiness…” (“Plastinkoi tonen’koi zhilleta”). Rhythmic and lexical “conflicts” in the poem tissue (E. Etkind) and various types of reiterations act as a key to poem interpretation. It is they that contribute to the actualization of the motif of parting and various female names, including Anna Akhmatova, Marina Tsvetaeva, as well as women-characters of literary works (Tatyana Larina, Minvana) in the semantic field of these two poems. Eventually the parting scene, which is repeated in the context over and over again (parting with Tsvetaeva and Akhmatova, Arminius and Minvana’s partings, and Tatiana Larina’s farewell to her native places), develops into the parting act of the lyrical character with their past filled with harmony. The rhythmic conflicts of the poem enable the reader to conclude that Mandelstam’s poem “The bristles of sleepiness…” reconstructs the rhythm of “Onegin stanza”, in which the author changed the rhyme sequence fixed in it. As a result, there emerges the effect of the presence of Pushkin’s harmony between its lines. Similarly to this implicit presence of Pushkin’s harmony, the sea noise which was so dear to the poet and which he was irretrievably deprived of is heard in the sound of wind in Mandelstam’s trees. The “Feminine” theme in the poetic world of a poem acts as a component which softens the shared sense of trouble and reconciles with what is happening. {"title":"How to train today the teachers of French as a foreign language of tomorrow? (The example of an introductory and innovative course in language didactics)","authors":"C. In this article, we focus on the training of future teachers of French as a foreign language. We present an innovative teaching, mixing a flipped classroom and blended learning approach, for students following an introductory course in language didactics. The aim of this research is to understand how students perceive the language teaching profession before the course, and how they see their development of skills related to their future profession after attending the training. Our approach consists of a text analysis and qualitative analysis of declarative data from participants in this innovative scheme, before the course, and after the course, with a view to ascertaining their appreciation of the development of skills to become a language teacher. We collected the students' responses to surveys given before and after the course in the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021. The first survey, given before the course, dealt with the words associated with teaching, learning and class, as well as the definition of a good language course and the profession of FFL teacher. The second survey, given after the course, concerned the usefulness of the course for the professional objective and a self-evaluation of the skills developed. The analysis shows that the participants have a positive view of the teaching profession, but also describe it in a more traditional way. Results also show that most students felt that the course was useful for their professional life and that they developed several competences related to their definition of the profession. These results lead to the conclusion that these representations about FFL teachers have to be taken into account during the course, in order to make the students aware of the different facets of the profession.
