In this technique, initially we transform an input function to its equivalent testable design, where some redundant gates and an ancillary line are appended to the design. After that, the test vectors are applied to the input of the circuit for detecting all possible faults in the design. This scheme has been tested successfully over large benchmark circuits to verify correctness of the algorithm. The new algorithm has the capability to reach global peak (GP) under any weather conditions. The main advantage of the proposed algorithm is the substitution of PI controller with direct duty cycle control scheme. To confirm the efficacy of the GWO based MPPT, it has been compared with PSO and P&O based MPPTs. The proposed technique is implemented using MATLAB/SIMULINK software followed by an experimentation developed in the laboratory to verify the effectiveness of GWO based MPPT. Dimension of this antenna is (30×30 mm2) which is reasonably compact in nature. It has two resonating frequencies at 1.81 GHz and 5.22 GHz, and these two bands are operating for the DCS1800/PCS1900 and wireless LAN application. The percentage bandwidths of both the resonance bands are 10.00 and 11.85 respectively. The gain varies in the range of 1.71 dBi to 1.89 dBi and 3.56 dBi to 3.72 dBi in the band of 1.81 GHz and 5.22 GHz respectively. This shows enough for the operation of DCS1800/PCS1900 and WLAN system. The feature vectors are educed from ellipse based parameters from each segments and fused to form a covariance matrix. Each matrix is used as dictionary atom and solved using — l1 — minimization. The linear representations of sparse codes of different atoms are used for recognition. The proposed architecture is based on the use of normal CMOS transistor for various computational blocks involved in the filter design. To maintain the reconfigurability, an electrically erasable programmable read only memory (EEPROM) based potentiometer (POT) is also employed that stores the analog filter weights. Moreover, the analog weights are separately added in last cycle corresponding to most significant bit and eliminates the extra control circuitry for bit-inversion. We have simulated the proposed architecture in UMC 180 nm CMOS using Cadence Spectre with input sampling frequency of 1.25 MHz. Besides, the proposed FOR is tunable; varying the fractance, the resonating frequency can be tuned. Design, simulation and hardware realization of this tunable FOR have been presented here along with detail experimental results. Experimentally a Q factor more than 100 has been achieved in this work. A subset of primary emotions such as anger, happy and sad emotions along with neutral utterances are used in the present work. The first part of the work discusses the development of a simulated full blown emotion database by selecting 50 emotionally biased prompts for the recording the emotional speech data in Tamil language. For the comparative study, another simulated emotion database is developed by recording 50 neutral utterances for recording the emotion speech from the same speakers. The second part of the work is the comparison of emotion recognition performance of the simulated emotion speech databases using the basic Gaussian mixture model (GMM) based system with mel frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC). A significant variations in the recognition rates of different emotions are observed for both the databases with emotionally biased utterances and emotionally neutral emotion utterances. Where the emotionally biased utterances observed to be more effective in discriminating emotions than emotionally neutral simulated emotion database. This redirection of current changes the antenna's electrical length and subsequently changes in resonating frequencies are observed. RF MEMS switches possess an excellent electromagnetic characteristics as compared to other RF switches such as high isolation in off state and very much low insertion loss in on state. In this paper the ohmic series RF MEMS switch is designed and its critical parameters are analyzed. This ohmic RF MEMS switch is suitable for reconfigurable microstrip patch antenna operating at 1–10GHz. The effect of variation of design parameters are analyzed by varying the design parameters such as gap between the electrodes and thickness of cantilever. The pull in analysis is done to predict the operating voltage of the switch. No-reference image quality assessment algorithms specific to a particular type of distortion are very popular for different image processing applications. Color quantization is a technique to reduce the number of unique colors in the image, but excessive color quantization can reduce the visual quality of images. In this paper, we propose a no-reference image quality measure specific to quality assessment color quantized images and color quantized images with dither. Fortunately, an early stage diagnosis can increase the survival rates of the patients. Sputum cytology is one of the easiest and cost-effective method for lung cancer diagnosis. Chances of misdiagnosis and sampling error related to sputum cytology led to the concept of malignancy associated changes. Malignancy associated changes (MAC) are the subtle changes that happens to the normal appearing cells near or distant from the malignant cells. Literature suggests that these changes can be used as an indicator for lung cancer rather than using malignant cells which are very less in number compared to the normal appearing cells in sputum cytology images. The proposed work is intended to detect cells with MAC from sputum smear images. Analysis of nuclei texture features of sputum cell nuclei using Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix and Gray Level Run Length Matrix from both normal and cancer patients revealed that both type of cells could be differentiated. Among 110 texture features calculated for each nuclei, a set of 35 features which clearly distinguishes normal cells and normal appearing cells were chosen. Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier is used to classify the cells into two classes i.e cells with MAC and cells without MAC.
