Glass ceiling syndrome, which is one of the most important problems that employees will face within the framework of their career plans, is also expressed as an invisible barrier in front of female employees. The regular and planned progress of talented employees on their career paths is crucial to achieving organizational goals. It is important to keep the talented female employees and reduce their the intention to quit job, who are strategically important sources within the human resources. In this context, the aim of the study is to investigate whether there is a perception of glass ceiling in the banking sector and how this affects the intention to leave. The data obtained from the study were analyzed in SPSS 21.0 and it was concluded that both the glass ceiling syndrome existed and there was a positive and significant effect on the perception of glass ceiling syndrome and intention to quit job.These results show that there is a perception of a career obstacle (glass ceiling) on female employees in the banking sector and as a result, the intention to quit is high. The first goal in successful organizations should be to break this perception. Within the framework of career planning, the perception of glass ceiling shows effects such as low motivation, decreased organizational commitment, increased intention to quit, and leads to a decrease in organizational success. Bunun yaninda 2005 yilinda yururluge giren 5393 sayili Belediye Kanunu’nun 41. maddesi de nufusu 50.000’in uzerinde olan belediyeler icin stratejik plan yapma ve faaliyetlerini bu plana gore yurutme yukumlulugu getirmistir. Ayrica stratejik planlama calismalarinin ortak bir anlayisla yurutulmesini saglamak uzere, “Kamu Idarelerinde Stratejik Planlamaya Iliskin Usul ve Esaslar Hakkinda Yonetmelik (2006, 2018)” cikarilmistir. 5393 sayili Kanunun 41. maddesine gore belediyelerin “mahalli idareler genel secimlerinden itibaren alti ay icinde” stratejik planlarini hazirlamalari gerekmektedir. Belediyelerin stratejik planlari belediye meclisi tarafindan kabul edilmekte ve bir ornegi de merkezi yonetime (Strateji ve Butce Baskanligina) gonderilmektedir. Mevzuat geregi stratejik planlarin ilgili idare tarafindan hazirlanmasi gerekir. Ancak uygulamada stratejik planlama faaliyetlerinde belediyelerin zorlandigi ve farkli cozum arayisina (fiilen stratejik planlari ozel sektor kuruluslarina yaptirma gibi) girdikleri gozlemlenmektedir. Bu konuda belediyelere destek saglamak amaciyla Strateji ve Butce Baskanligi tarafindan 2018 yilinda “Belediyeler Icin Stratejik Planlama Rehberi” yayimlanmistir. Bu calismada 6360 sayili Kanun ile kurulan iki buyuksehir belediyesinin 2015-2019 yillari stratejik planlari karsilastirmali olarak incelenmektedir. Anilan donem stratejik planlari her iki buyuksehir belediyesinin ilk stratejik planidir. Karsilastirmali inceleme, her iki buyuksehir belediyesinin teskilat yapisi ve plan hazirlama yontemi hakkinda genel bilgi verildikten sonra; misyon, vizyon, temel degerler ve stratejik amaclar baglaminda yapilmaktadir. As a result of this pressure, burnout syndrome, which is the source of symptoms such as decrease in desire to do business, feeling of failure, feeling of wear, loss of energy and power, occurs. Promoting human resources as the most important resource that creates value has to be connected with strategic decisions that will reduce the intention to quit as it affects organizational success. Especially for individual success, it is necessary to reduce burnout through activities that will increase the desire and energy of the employees. From this perspective, these activities will increase organizational commitment and decrease the intention to quit. From this perspective, the study, aims to investigate the answers to questions; Whether the perception of “burnout syndrome’ exists in the banking sector and to what extent and to what extent does burnout syndrome have an impact on intention to quit?” The data were analyzed in SPSS 21.0 and the results were revealed as both burnout syndrome perception exists and burnout syndrome had a positive and significant effect on intention to quit. First of all, when the activities that eliminate the burnout syndrome are taken into consideration, the efforts to promote human resources within the framework of talent management in organizations will decrease the intention of employees to quit. This will increase the level of organizational commitment with the decrease in the intention of employees to quit job. This is especially important in sectors such as the banking sector that require an intensive work environment. Bu cerceveden bakildiginda calisma, bankacilik sektorunde “tukenmislik sendromu” algisinin var olup olmadigi ve ne duzeyde oldugu ile tukenmislik sendromunun isten ayrilma niyeti uzerinde etkisi var midir ve ne derecededir?” sorularinin cevabini arastirmayi amaclamaktadir. Veriler SPSS 21.0 da analiz edilerek arastirma sonuclarina ulasilmis ve hem tukenmislik sendromu algisinin var oldugu hem de tukenmislik sendromunun isten ayrilma niyeti uzerinde pozitif ve anlamli etkisinin oldugu sonucuna ulasilmistir. Oncelikle tukenmislik sendromunu ortadan kaldiracak faaliyetler dikkate alindiginda, orgutlerde yetenek yonetimi cercevesinde insan kaynagi tutundurma cabalari, isgorenlerdeki isten ayrilma niyeti azalacaktir. Bu durum yetenekli isgorenlerin isten ayrilma niyetinin azalmasiyla birlikte orgutsel baglilik duzeylerini artiracaktir. Nonetheless, empirical studies on this issue are at its infancy. In the developing economies no effort has been made by researchers to establish the best strategic plan implementation style. The literature indicated that an effort was made by researchers to establish the best strategic plan implementation style for effectiveness and efficiency in Turkish Municipal Authorities. The purpose of the study was to establish the strategy implementation styles used by local authorities on the Copperbelt Province of Zambia to realize their strategic objectives. Five out of ten local authorities were used for the study. Four strategy implementation styles from the literature were adopted and used as independent variables, i.e., rational, instrumentalism, logic-instrumentalism and no implementation style were adopted. The multiple linear regression model used to test the hypotheses revealed that, none of the hypotheses was significant (i.e., p value less than .05) The conclusion was that, though in all the local authorities strategic plan implementation has been carried out using a mixture of rational and incremental styles have been adopted. However, the two styles are not firmly adhered to because of lack of finances to oversee to the plan implementation. Although it is not an infectious disease, the rate of obesity increases rapidly. Obesity is not only a problem of excess weight but a social problem with serious economic and social consequences. In many developed countries, governments implement various policies to combat obesity. These; awareness campaigns, mobile applications, regulation of food labels, restrictions and prohibitions, obesity tax. The purpose of use in combating obesity study was to investigate the ideas of individuals in Turkey against obesity tax planned. In the study, which follows the Embedded Theory approach, one of the qualitative research designs, interviews were conducted with people from different occupational groups in Zonguldak. The participants do not show a negative attitude towards obesity tax and think that the tax policy to be applied will decrease obesity. Makale iki bolumden olusmaktadir. Birinci bolum kuresellesme ve kuresel sehir kavramini ele almis ve kuresellesme surecinde sehirlerin durumu ile ilgili konulari irdelenmistir. Ikinci bolum ise kuresel sehir endekslerini incelemektedir. Kuresel sehirleri ele alan bu endekslerin en kapsamli olan bes tanesi calismanin konusunu olusturmaktadir. Uzerinde durulan bu endekslerin hazirlanisi ve icerdigi bilgilerin yaninda sehirlerin siralanisinda bulunduklari konumlar uzerinde durulmaktadir.
