The data was targeted at patients who were diagnosed with end-stage renal failure at a tertiary general hospital located in J province and receiving regular hemodialysis treatment. The data collection period was from July 20, 2023 to August 11, 2023, and 160 structured questionnaires were distributed, of which 153 were used in the final analysis. Data were analyzed using t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis with the SPSS 28.0 program. Through multiple regression analysis, the factors influencing quality of life were body image (β=.46, p<.001), having an average monthly household income (over 3 million won)(β=.22, p=.002), and symptom experience (β=-.20, p=.001). The combined explanatory power for quality of life was determined to be 47%. It is necessary to accurately assess and intervene, develop educational programs and integrated management programs that reduce symptom experience and improve body image, and establish work standard guidelines.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"6 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140413312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study estimates the public's willingness to pay(WTP) for dementia prevention, to provide policy implications for dementia management. Using contingent valuation method(CVM), the average per capita WTP amount for dementia prevention was estimated to be KRW 80,955,973. As a result, the social cost of preventing as many dementia patients as in 2021 turned out to be KRW 78.7245 trillion. The cost of dementia incurred during the lifespan of dementia patients was KRW 205.378 trillion, 2.6 times higher than the prevention cost. The difference between the cost of dementia and prevention cost is expected to expand rapidly over time. In particular, the cost of dementia for elderly patients in 2060 was estimated to be KRW 1,630 trillion during their lifetime, 5.8 times greater than the prevention cost of KRW 280 trillion. In addition, due to the low fertility rate in Korea, the burden of costs for elderly dementia patients among the working-age population was estimated at KRW 13.29 million per person per year. In the future, the cost of dementia, thus the gap with prevention costs, is espected to increase rapidly. In particular, the social costs for the families of dementia patients are huge and the burden of supporting elderly dementia patients in the working-age population will increase. This study concludes prevention of dementia is more important than ex post management. As policy recommendations, this study emphasized the importance of people’s cooperation and the connection of related policies to respond to the dementia problem by giving several examples.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"53 5","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-02-29","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140408592","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The signing of the North Korea-Russia alliance treaty and Kim's first and second visits to Russia served as a driving force when domestic and foreign policy changes interact with national interests. If the China-Soviet conflict and the strengthening of the South Korea-U.S.-Japan alliance led to the 1961 North Korea-Soviet Alliance Treaty, changes in the environment of the international order, including the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, the ROK’s northern policy and Putin's equidistant foreign policy, led to the signing of the 2002 North Korea-Russia Friendship Treaty. A comparative analysis of Kim's first and second visits to Russia enabled the derivation of facilitating factors that accelerated the close relationship between North Korea and Russia and challenging factors. This shows that under the international order dominated by power, close contact is accelerated when national interests, such as domestic and foreign environmental factors of North Korea and Russia, namely, domestic political system (leadership), diversification of economy and diplomacy, and securing resources. It is time for strategic thinking that can bring maximum effect with minimal effort through stable situation management of the impact of the US-China-Russia mutual state relations variable. First, the candidate's morality and policy capacity must be verified by management ability of local government and policies, and confirmation hearings are disclosed to the public in principle, but are closed in special cases. Second, the targets for personnel hearings are promoted as stipulated in the「Local Autonomy Act」, but whether or not to expand the targets for personnel hearings is determined by the ordinance. The main body of the personnel hearing system is operated through the ‘Special Committee on Personnel Hearing’, which is composed of 15 or less members, including more than half of the members of the relevant standing committee, and the committee’s activity period is sufficient for 10 days. Lastly, it is necessary to secure a sufficient period of time for the personnel hearing, and the results of the hearing should state whether the candidate is qualified and specific reasons, and it is suggested that a system of participation of local residents be introduced in the future. However, the local council's personnel hearing system is determined by taking into account the regional personal and environmental characteristics, and efforts to respond flexibly according to regional circumstances are required in the implementation process of the local council's personnel hearing system in the future.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124211319","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this regard, this study analyzes current status and characteristics of drone terrorism around the world using GTD data from the START in the United States. From the data collected from 1970 to 2021, only 315 cases of drone terrorism using drones as a means of terrorism were extracted and analyzed. According to the analysis, the number of drone terrorism incidents by year has been increasing since 2018, with the highest level of 131 incidents in 2021. By region, the Middle East and North Africa region is the most concentrated with 291 incidents, and by country, Saudi Arabia is the highest with 148 incidents, followed by Yemen and Iraq. Among drone terrorist organizations, Houthi extremists have attempted the most drone attacks (211), while ISIL has the highest success rate (91.7%). More than 90% of drone attacks utilized explosives. Finally, in terms of targets, ISIL had the highest percentage of attacks against military, civilian, and property targets. Based on this study, we hope that various studies on drone terrorism and active discussions on drone terrorism prevention and response will be conducted.","PeriodicalId":393746,"journal":{"name":"Taegu Science University Defense Security Institute","volume":"517 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123105208","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
